This is a dark paranormal romance book 3 out of 3 in a brand new reverse harem romance by USA Today Bestselling Author, Eve Newton. Set in England and written in British English, you will come across TWs so please see inside for details.
Eve is a USA Today Bestselling Author with a specialty for steamy romance with strong female leads.
She lives in the UK, with her husband and five kids, so finding the time to write is short, but definitely sweet. Eve has a number of series, both completed and on the go and hopes to release some new and exciting projects, both paranormal and contemporary in the future, so stay tuned!
These books had really great promise. Adelaide's character is very annoying and I find myself flipping through pages of each of these books. Every time she's given a new piece of information she whines and backs away from her destiny. There is absolutely no backbone within this girl. At this point it doesn't even feel like Adelaide is going to accept her destiny. It feels like the author is forcing everything that has occurred and will happen onto her female character.
Spoilers
This is about the end of the book, so if you have not read it, you should stop reading this part of my review. At the end of all of this and skipping many many chapters, she comes out of this stripped of her powers and becomes a regular old vampire while her boyfriends become immortal beings that are all powerful. I'm sorry but how does the ending of this book make sense. How does any of that level the other out. Someone else gets all of the powers that were stripped from her because she had them first so we used and abused her and then took everything away from her.
This is certainly action packed but it was so faced paced that loopholes were everywhere. It kinda reads like Indian Jones with the adventures but with less explanation.
I will say that this series has so much potential to be a full fledged, high fantasy novel if the author really fleshed out the magic system.
Overall, this series was ok. The ending was unsatisfying. The reset is fine and all, it was just the way they just ended back up at university felt empty.
Oh my gosh what a way to end an amazing series. I don’t wanna give away to much because let’s be honest, your gonna need to read this whole series. The growth for all the characters overall is amazing, but the plot and twist are what make it even better. This entire series has been perfection and to see it wrap up like this was worth it. The wait and the nail biting was so worth it. If your looking for a series that keeps you on your toes, keeps you guessing but also has you hooked from page one of book 1 well then this series is all for you.
Really keeps you on your toes with the twists and turns in this story! Absolutely loved the banter between all the guys, gave me the giggles in some very random places! A fantastic end to this trilogy.
What a way to end this series! This was absolutely insane!! The action was packed, the emotions stacked and some steamy scenes that you have to read just understand the deepness of it. Dont even get me started on the twist and turns in this book. ABSOLUTELY phenomenal!
Adelaide's character was super charged in her growth and the way she determined her changes. It was hardcore watching her reaction to curtain things and how her mind worked differently than the rest.
Corvus's character didn't change to much which I was glad, he is to perfect to change. BUT that one scene (you had to read it to know) gutted me. I just couldn't handle...
Zephyr's characters emotions came out to play this time around, holy crap did they. His perfection was charged and became more permanent in my opinion. Loved his emotions in this one.
Ignatius's character showed soooo much growth, and we get to see a different side of him that we haven't seen yet. The show of power he has was sooo volcanic! (See what I did there?)
Zaiah's character showed so much strength and of course Eve (author) had to throw us some turns with his character that made my heart stop for a second. (Once you read it you will understand)
Highly recommend this book and the author. If you love bad wicked men and one strong woman and whole lot of mystery, darkness and crap ton of other things, THIS IS IT FOR YOU!!
Immortal Dawn is the third book in the Immortal Descent series and concludes Adelaide and the guys story and picks up in the immediate aftermath of the last book. This book sees Adelaide and the guys finally uncovering all the plots and deceit that has been going on but they found it hard to choose who to trust and they finally go up against the ones who have been orchestrating all the events that have come to pass.
This book has some brilliant reveals, some stuff I didn’t see coming. I also found it hard to see who to trust as there were so many different versions of events being given to the characters that it was hard to see who was telling the truth. This kept me on my toes while reading and I absolutely loved the story and its conclusion. I felt that this book really saw Adelaide coming into her own and finally becoming the person she was meant to be and I loved how close the group of characters had become over such a short period of time passing in the book.
Overall, I found this series to be really enjoyable and the story kept me on my toes all the way through. I would not only recommend this book but the entire series.
I will say that this is the best book out of the three. The things I wanted from the other books were in this book but there was still a lot of plot holes. I think that the resolution happened kind of quickly as well them being separated. She said she didn't want to merge back and then like 10 pages later she wants to merge back. I wanted to love this book because the overall premise is very interesting. Fate decided for you before you're born thousands of years in the making. Having to figure out what that fate looks like to you. Chosen one stories are some of my favorite but Addy was flat. There was a lot of repetition of phrases and even conversations throughout the whole series which also took it down for me.
Book three completes Adelaide’s story, and that of her four beaus (Corvus, Zephyr, Zaiah, and Ignatius). The battle has come to MistHallow, and Addy needs to face off with Crimson, with the Void, with the various nefarious beings who are trying to control everything- but it’s not always obvious who is the bad one in the bunch. She’s been killed, she’s been changed, but somehow she’s made it through so far, now she just needs to face that final battle!
This is an enjoyable trilogy, that introduces us to MistHallow, and the unusual monsters that learn there. It’s a steamy RH fantasy, with a *lot* of spicy scenes, a great deal of action, and a pretty much constant pacing. Don’t expect really deep meanings, this is entertaining stuff, with over the top events and more. It’s pure escapism, and makes for a rollercoaster ride for RH fantasy fans.
In this one Addy ultimately gets a revenge arc, and a total reset. There's just so much that happens and it's so fast paced. I stayed up to devour this just to see how everything was going to play out. Honestly in some spots I was confused with how everything tied together. There's still the deadly magical adventure aspect, with coming back to the dark acedemia part of it at the end. This whole series was just such a journey and so much more than a run if the mill dark acedemia romance. It still had some spicy parts but it's very plot heavy.
This was an epic conclusion to a fast paced, edge of your seat series. Immortal Dawn picks up right where Midnight Reign left off. There were multiple times while reading that I wanted to scream. Eve does a fantastic job of keeping you on the edge of your seat while simultaneously ripping out your heart. Addy and her guys' trials culminate in this stunning conclusion. Zephyr, Corvus, Ignatius and Zaiah all experience their own growth, and learn to trust in Addy, and her ability to come out on top. I'm kinda sad to see this series end. Kudos Eve!!
Eve has done it again. A brilliant trilogy that has meant little to no sleep as I couldn't put it down.
Where you get your ideas from is mind boggling but I bow before you.
Action packed story with amazing main characters in Addy, Corvus, Zephyr, Ignatius and Zaiah. With enough twists and turns to make you dizzy and at times left guessing wtf is going on. Seriously blowing my mind at times so that I had to take a brief break just to catch my breath. I loved this trilogy so much and it's definitely on my to be read again list.
I really enjoyed this series but this last one was EXTREMELY rushed, all over the place, really repetitive and predictable. There were to many repetitive phrases of absolution. Like “haven’t you figured it out yet” or “you clever girl” or “the hardest/intense I’ve ever had”. The main character is way too stubborn and honestly kind of an idiot. They all kind of are. They are way too focused on sleeping together and less on what’s happening. There should have been 2 less chapters of romance and less chapters on inside thoughts.

What and ending! The twists and turns are amazing. The writing is so good and I gotta say to date my favorite PNR academy series this year. I do have a favorite guy but I love the dynamic between them all and how they do fight for what is right with Adelaide. I love that Adelaide makes decisions based on what she experiences and not on what others tell her to do. Her gut feelings are truly amazing. The ending? Brilliant I tell you! A must read series in my opinion.
Blimey so much was crammed into this cracking conclusion that I'll be honest I'm struggling to write this review without letting out any spoilers.
Adelaide's (FMC) purpose becomes clear in this book and with the help of the guys she finds the strength to do what needed to be done. Chock full of great plot twists, banter, laughs and steam. All loose ends were tied up brilliantly. I've absolutely loved reading every book in this series. So bloody good.
I can't even begin to tell you how much I loved this final book of the trilogy. You will find yourself hooked and on the edge of your seat reading about Adelaide's life path with her men and their future. You will laugh, you will root for them, and you will feel their emotions... well, at least I hope I'm not the only one who does that when reading a great book! Lol!
This book was a bit dull for the first half. But it got better, thankfully. I really hated book 2, but in this book there seemed to be a little more character growth and acceptance of their situation. Things improved at that point. The climax was action packed and I actually liked the ending. I think the series had a good plot. However, the author ruined it with book 2. If you can get past the book 2 drag, the series is fine.
Wow, this got dark and convoluted and dangerous. Adelaide and her guys have some horrendous trials to go through in this book. It takes the best of all of them and their faith in each other, and in themselves, to survive. There are secrets and lies exposed and the truth comes out about those closest to them. It’s a fun and entertaining ride and a good ending to the series.
I didn't like the first book, or the second book, but I kept hoping it would get better. It didn't. Honestly this series kinda sucked at least in my opinion. There are errors in the plot, some of the wording is repetitive, and the character development is not great. It reads almost like the author was rushed to create this series. I have read other books by Eve Newton that I really enjoyed but this series is just so lackluster for me.
What a thrilling conclusion to an action packed, steamy trilogy! Eve never disappoints! She makes her characters come alive on the page and and you become so engrossed in her writing that you can not put her books down and "Immortal Dawn" was no exception. This was a cleverly written, with plenty of spice and action that will leave you on the edge of your seat!
This was the perfect book to end this trilogy! The romance between Adelaide, Zephyr, Zaiah, Ignatius, and Corvus is strong enough to weather anything! Who doesn't love a good mix of romance and some absolutely epic battles of good and evil! I found myself to be on the edge of my seat, devouring this entire series.
With Eve Newton's foray into the PRN this was a great series to read. The characters are believable and well written. The plot twists and turns made this one of my favorite series that I've read in a while. The ending has a great HEA. The suspense from the different cliffhangers left me on the edge of my seat waiting for the next book.
This was a great ending to this trilogy! So many twists and turns! Didn’t see so many things coming. Loved all the surprises along the way and even loved how they found time for smexy time in the middle of all the chaos 😂. Priorities am I right? You will not regret finishing this series! One of my favorites - a must read!
Picking up right where Midnight Reign left off, we get the finale to the Immortal Descent series. Addy and her guys have had a heck of a journey. It is filled with potent, heart wrenching emotion and incredible twists. This was an incredible conclusion to Addy and her guys' dark paranormal RH romance.
What an amazing finish to the Immortal Descent series. The character growth is astounding. I love how Addy and the guys grow into their relationship as well as themselves. The plot was better than I could have hoped. They way Addy and her guys continued to stand together and face the Council with all that was at stake made me love them as characters even more.
Oh man, I need to catch my breath....this book starts off at full throttle and just doesn't let off, like at all. I adore Addy and the guys, and watching her evolve into her own is something amazing. She grows so much in this story. And so many questions are answered, even ones you didn't realize you had. Loved every moment of it.
Omg what a phenomenal book. This is the third book in The Immortal Descent series. So loved being back with Addy and her guys. So much action and of course my steam. I pretty much devoured this book.Storyline was excellent. I want to say so much but I don’t want to give away any spoilers. I so loved this series. Sad I don’t want it to end. Loved the characters. Definitely recommend reading.
Immortal Dawn is the final book in the Immortal Descent Trilogy. Full of action, emotion, and twists. Adelaide goes through alot in this series. She grows and becomes stronger. Her men are by her side through it all. Everything they face tests their strength and love. I highly recommend reading this series.
Stopped connecting with the characters for some reason. Felt like a rollercoaster because too much of the plot was explained away by supernatural cosmic mumbo jumbo. I enjoy fantasy books when the magic system is explained (some new surprises along the way are okay too) but this felt like the magic rules were being rewritten every other chapter so it was hard to stay invested.
