In keeping with the author’s mode of keeping you guessing, some astounding secrets come out in Book 4 but some stay hidden. One secret is a real stunner and another will keep you wondering who all the players are. I just don’t have the slightest clue. He, she or they remain a mystery and I just bet it’s going to be a huge surprise. The name of Laurel and Brad’s baby is revealed and it is very clever; ingenious really! So, are you looking for a good mystery to unravel, a suspenseful novel to keep you guessing and a little romance with some laugh out loud moments? Then look no further than this series because it has it all!

This is the 4th in the Appleman’s Gap series and just as good as the other 3. The characters are all so well written. I love the story line and it had a lot of twists and turns and you had no idea what was next. Add the fact the main character was going into labor at any time really made it suspenseful. The story moved along nicely and there were no boring parts at all. After you read the book, you want more. I cannot wait to read more in the series since there seems to be never ending excitement.

A heavily pregnant Laura is having a lot of drama around her. The abduction of Dr. Steward and the Cradler syndicate terrorising the area of Appleman’s Gap is the start of it. A chilling read which is unputdownable. I received this ARC copy and recommend it to other readers.

This is number 4 of the Appleman's Gap Series by Kelly Utt, and it was fabulous. Unfortunately, there were too many hints for me not to realize what the family's big secret was! It was still exciting and showed the undying courage of the heroine, Laurel. She's a character that was brave in the worst of times. The one thing I would have changed is the constant use of the word " palpable ".
I would recommend this book to all of my reading friends. It's fast-paced, and an enjoyable read. I will be awaiting the last one of the series that doesn't come out until February 12".

The Cradler continues to taunt Laurel Dane. She and her husband are in the clinic when Dr Stewart is taken along with frozen embryos. The truth is revealed to Laurel about her time in captivity. A cliff hanger as they pursue the effort to take down the Cradler.
