Primal God

Rate this book
A secret society so powerful, it can give you everything you desire. Imagine what it can take away…

I’ve never had an easy life,
Watching my loved ones die one by one.
I’ve learned not to rely on anyone,
While yearning for the kind of love I read about.
I decide to put myself out there, dating guys my age.
Instead, I fall for the one man I shouldn’t.
They call him the Primal God.
And, lord, do I want to know why.
He’s hired me to work for him as a live-in nanny.
The job should be easy, but I know it won’t be.
Because I’ve lusted after him for 6 years…
Ever since I dated his son.
But he sees me in a way no one else does
Making me want to let him in.
Only, I fear the Primal God won’t stop until I’m his…especially when he sees that I need a Daddy in my life.

Would Recommend: Hell yeah!

My Review:
I’m on a single-parent kick right now, so this book was just perfect for my current vibe! This one fits perfectly into the series, and honestly? It might just be my new favorite!
Dimitri and Lilith are EVERYTHING. The chemistry between them was 🔥, and their fast-paced story had everything flowing just right. If I had one little wish, it would be for a few more pages so I could savor more of their couple moments! And let’s not forget the adorable kiddos – they brought the cutest touches to the story.
In short, the spice was spicing, the pace was racing, and this was everything I wanted in a single-parent romance! Dimitri and Lilith for the win! 🙌

Tropes:
Age gap
Secret Child
Secret society
Single Dad/Nanny
Slight breeding kink

This was amazing!!
I'm always iffy about age gap romances, but this was done amazingly.
The power imbalance is one of the things I often dislike about this trope, but here we don't have that. I love that our heroine was her own person and that she was equal as Dimitri.
Dimitri... man, that man is goals!! I absolutely ADORED him and his primal nature. The way I swooned for him... ❤️‍🔥🫠
This book was fun and spicy and absolutely fabulous.

Thank you to the author for the chance to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

DAD'S ex and ends up working for him as a nanny...there is a major secret which I will not spoil and loved it.. there is enough drama and loved how the FMC and MMC are not so stubborn that it gets annoying...there is enough stubbornness from both...just enough to make it really good
I feel in love with the kiddos especially Clara and felt so bad for Diego...
What's with the guy Gabriel???? What's his deal???? I can’t wait for Claudius book!!! I'll definitely be checking Sarah's page with updates
Overall...great story loved it ....ate it up and left no crumbs!!!! My only complaint is: I wanted it to be longer!!!😭😭😭😭

This book! Oh my heart, this book!! No doubt this was my favorite one of the series. It didn’t hurt that my favorite model was on the cover. But still, it was an absolute, fantastic read. One of my favorite tropes right now is ex boyfriend’s dad and Bale nailed it. Freaking A did she nail it.

I am such a romance girly and the romance in this one had my heart soaring. I never have to fear that Bale won’t deliver on the romance. After all, she masters in it.

I kind of hoped for a little something “more” at the end with her uncle, but all in all it still ended great. I absolutely love this series and will forever recommend it. Give this author all the stars!

spoiler alert

This was recommended for me to read, I read it without reading the other books which was probably a mistake as the whole brotherhood got abit confusing as to who they all were.

It was abit of a disappointment really as the blurb sounded so good, the characters were average, I mean who leaves their daughter for months only seeing her once a week?!
There were so many times where I was annoyed with Lilli like just tell him for god sake, she backed out of it multiple times. And then when she did at like 80% he was just fine with it. I know it’s fiction but it’s so unrealistic what man would be fine, he should be flipping out even if it was a little or at least he should have expressed his betrayal. But he was like no you did it to keep our daughter safe, like he was some horrible man who she doesn’t know when in fact she’s known him for years and knows he’s a good man and a good dad.

The Defiant God Brotherhood series is hands down one of my favorite series. I have been absolutely loving it. But the Primal God just might be my favorite one out of the series now. 😏 Sarah just got me with this one guys. It literally has all of my favorite tropes and not to mention my favorite person is on the cover!😍 Just with those alone it hit all the marks for me. But the story? Sarah knocked it out of the park. I think Lilith and Dimitri’s story might be my favorite out of all of them. There was just something about it that when I started reading it I couldn’t put it down. The story line was one of the best that I have read. From everything Lilith goes through, to everything Dimitri and his family go through, to everything they all go through together, it was just so beautiful and so well written. I seriously cannot recommend this book enough. It’s a must read!

***ARC REVIEW***

This book was absolutely excellent from start to finish I absolutely devoured it. There was a nice balance between spice and plot, but when their was spice it definitely didn’t disappoint. I also believe that there was a very nice touch of using Wander as the cover model for the book because he fit the description of the character perfectly, and it helped bring the story to life. It was also nice to see that when the FMC revealed the MMC was the father of her child there wasn’t a huge fight and breakup like with a lot of romances. Overall it was a very enjoyable and suspenseful read that I very much enjoyed.

Thank you so much Sarah Bale and Bookfunnel for the opportunity to review.

Action paced and so good! I loved it!

After having dated his son, Lilith had crushed in Dimitri for 6 years but wants to know more about this man they call Primal God.

Lilith is somewhat naive but knows what she wants and taking a risk to get it is in her wheelhouse. But Dimitri is removed and closed off, and hard to get through to. He is attracted to Lilith and certainly wants her and every protective instinct is surrounding her.

Danger, secrets, deceptions, and an edgy plot. I couldn't help but be dragged into the story. I hope for more in future as this book really was a pleasure. Highly recommended!!

This is my favorite series ever. I’m so happy there’s one more to wrap up this series. Primal God was everything it needed to be. The love, and the secrets which lead up to the brotherhood shenanigans. Just by reading this book you can feel the connection between Lili, and Dimitri. There was no connection between her and Joao. Lili was a great character and i loved everything about her. Her love for his kids, while keeping hers safe. She also kept herself protect as well as she should from her crazy uncle.

The guys from the brotherhood know what they need to do to protect the people they love from Gabriel. The big shock was about Lili’s friend Cecely.

Secret society.
Age gap.
A bit of primal play.
Nanny and the hot widower orthopedic surgeon.
Her ex's dad.
These are some tropes that led me to read Primal God. The cover gave me an exceptional picture of what Dimitri should look like. All combined, this is the perfect shopping list for a good read. Dimitri and Lilith made taboo hot. From a drunken hook-up to employment as a nanny, Lili gets to spend time with the man who fuels her fantasies, not knowing he has his own about her. Is it wrong of them to feel this way, or is time on their side?

This was my first book by this author, and it captivated me from start to finish.

Once I started reading, I couldn't put it down!
This book gave me all things I want in a story and more! The plot was fantastic, the spice was delicious, and I loved both main characters.
In addition, there was a little drama, emotions, secrets, and a twist at the end.

Dimitri and Lilith were so good together. They had so much chemistry and the steam was hot! 🥵
I loved how their relationship progressed. They didn't rush, but they also didn't drag out their feelings.
Dimitri made the perfect daddy. 😉
I loved it!!

In the beginning, the timeline is so odd. So we start off 15 months ago, then move to 5 years later and then another 7-10 months later? It’s just so weird how much jumping around we did. Also, this is definitely not a standalone because of the whole secret society and the drama surrounding that.

It would’ve been more of an interconnected standalone had the Brotherhood (and its players) been described better. Anyways, I don’t like secret societies and was hoping for a nice low stakes Ex’s dad spicy romance and this one unfortunately don’t hit the mark for me

Who doesn’t love a good age gap, single dad nanny, ex’s dad romance…..if you like any or all of those this book is for you. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the MMC in the beginning of the book, but by the end I wanted to call him Daddy! The way the love blooms between the characters is great. I loved how much time the kids were involved, sometimes that isn’t the case, but I loved getting to know the children as well! Can’t wait for the next in the series!

Primal God was an absolute hit. I couldn't put this down. The series has been so good but I knew this one would likely be my fav because it has some of my fav tropes (age gap, Ex's dad, Daddy, nanny, and a big secret).

I love seeing these two give into the feelings between them. The spice was so good! And the suspense had me on the edge of my seat! And the sweet relationship with all the kids was so good - loved watching this little family blend together.

I can't wait for the next one!

I love this series. No, really I LOVE THIS SERIES! I was excited for Primal God. Lilith and Dimitri's story was amazing and I read it in one sitting. Dimitri needs a nanny. His son's ex-girlfriend applies for the position. But Lilith has a secret and only time will tell if the attraction these two have will explode. Dimitri is a daddy-dom and is ready for his baby girl to become his. This book gives a glimpse into the next book. I need it now!

I love this kind of trope and the drama it opens the story up to. This is one of the first books I’ve read by this author and now I’m about to read through the entire series. I just wish it was longer so we could see more from these characters. Heads up for people with issues with large age gaps, it’s definitely in here but personally I was alright with it. Looking forward to reading more books by this author!

Better than I thought it would be.

This is my first time reading from this author. I really liked the story line and detail. Fast paced enough to get me into the book and keep me interested. Not a ton of spicy scenes, but when there was one it was pretty good. My only real complain is once we got to the plot twist which was way at the end it then went fast and didn’t have much details and then the end. Other than that I enjoyed this book.

I devoured this book. I could not stop once I started. The heat is HOT. And the story line keeps you hooked until the end. I fell in love with the children and their relationship with Lilith. Lilith and Dimitri overcome a lot and do it together. I did not want it to end! I cannot wait until the next book in the series.

This was my first book in the series and I found it interesting. There's a touch of suspense along side the spice. I liked the storyline. I loved that the kids were a big part of the story. I liked the characters. They both had me wanting to smack them at some point. But it just made the story more realistic for me. Overall a good book I binged in a few hours.

I really enjoyed this book. We start out with Lilith and her boyfriend Joao who soon break up. Lilith has a crush on Dimitri (Joaos dad).
Fast fwd Dimitri and Lilith have a one night stand after his wife passed away. And now needs a nanny.
This was a great steamy read and now I want to read about all the brotherhood!

I am obsessed with Sarah’s books, first of all. The spice is amazing. The plot…I cannot handle it. It got so suspenseful that I was gripping my pillow to my chest yelling “oh my god oh my oh my god.” I loved the characters, especially Dimitri. I cannot wait for the next one!

Instant read for me! Ms. Bale outdoes herself every single time. The connection between Dr. Santos and Ms. Wolfe was 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🥵 right from the start. If i could give more than 5 stars, I would. The two epilogues at the end were mind blowing and I cant wait for the next book.

Sarah never disappoints. Absolutely loved this book. Lilith starts working for her ex-boyfriends Dad as a nanny. What ensues is a spicy, suspenseful story with an unexpected cliff hanger which leads to the next book. Definitely worth a read.
