I’ll Change for You: Building a Sustainable Future During Times of Change by Janet Elaine is an eye-opening and sobering journey through the threat of climate change. The passionate writing takes a reader through a journey of education, awareness, and action. The author showcases her extensive talent through deep research and analysis while providing real-world examples and scientific fact. One of the main points is that there are many simple things an individual can do to contribute to the global effort; this doesn’t have to be a difficult or costly venture. The author highlights several examples from common households to corporate responsibility. Using the book as a guide, a reader is left with an improved education and plentiful steps for contributing to the battle against climate change.

I commend this author for an easy-to-read treatise on the complex global issue of climate change.

Janet Elaine's book, I’ll Change for You: Building a Sustainable Future During Times of Change, gives the reader a roadmap to the future where climate change is accepted, and addressed. World and local governments’ prioritization of climate adaptations are proposed, as well as rejections of anything to deny, delay, or reject those actions.

To get there, Janet Elaine gives detailed steps for both the individual and the collective "We" to take every day. Elaine's positive tone removes the individual pressure of "it's all on my shoulders" while inspiring creativity and presenting fresh ideas. Topics of climate change include sustainable fashion, sustainable farming practices, climate action and enforcement, and congressional action.

Elaine includes case studies from Mexico, Peru, India, the Netherlands, Japan, and France, as just a few examples.

Reading this book, I applaud Elaine's vision of how to build a sustainable future for all of us.

Janet Elaine has created a vital call to arm yourself with the consequences of one's actions when it comes to preserving this planet, via "climate change," in her new book, “I’ll Change For You: Building a Sustainable Future During Times of Change.” Boy! I was hooked from the very beginning because preserving the planet and all it contains is definitely in my wheelbarrow. I was very excited to read this book. In it one learns what climate change is and how it fundamentally can change our lives. Having read this book, I agree with the author: “We do have a responsibility to maintain the earth by depressurizing our energy use and learn how to adapt to a life of reasonable consumption and climate preservation. In her book, Janet says via the culmination of years of research, “Building a sustainable future during a time of change is essential.” And then she goes on further to say it’s a call to action and then she proves it in ways that will change reader’s lives. This book is exceptional for all those who care about saving the planet. It is loaded with all the tools one needs to begin to make inevitable changes to save Mother Earth. I loved her 3 key points Adaptability, Resilience and innovation. This book reflects on how we as a nation can adopt new habits and sacrifices to protect the environment. This includes the food we eat to the cars we drive and don’t forget the author’s warnings about fossil fuels. One of my favorite phrases in this book is when the author concludes that our planet is down on her knees pleading with us to change. The author gives us a peek into the Carter administration, concluding that there is never going to be enough oil. When one considers how climate changes affect humans and animals it’s a foreboding image to see how close/comfortable the animals are to our ways of living, if we don’t adapt to the proper changes. The author says Climate change are real human activity. If we are truly the primary drivers of this very important reality of climate change, at what point do we assume our responsibility toward change. One thing I loved about this book was the App Trackers provided where one can measure and track a carbon footprint. What I got from this excellent presentation is energy consumption and awareness and the difference between weather and climate change. Awesome!
This is a great analogy and studious chronicles of climate change is indeed our responsibility; it is the nation’s responsibility and our government’s responsibility. It’s the most incredible book on climate I have ever engaged in. Moreover, it’s a comprehensive book that one can reference in pursuit of making living, food, and transportation changes. I highly recommend it to you.

I'll post the review I posted on Amazon:
I've been following the scientific literature on climate change since the 1980s. The height of awareness and acceptance of the science came about ten years ago - and the memory of the European heat wave that killed 70,000 people and the Russian hear wave that killed a similar number early in the century were within recent memory.
But now we're in a time when right wing commentators casually talk about the "climate hoax," the US administration cuts the largely ineffective climate initiatives if the Biden era - while at the same time maneuvering for control of Greenland and Canada in order to command the Northwest Passage - newly opened by melting Arctic ice...liberals are now torching Tesla EVs and Greta Thunberg has gotten arrested in Norway for protesting construction of a wind farm.
In Europe, the drastic measures proposed for "Net Zero" are bringing about a populist revolt. And the tech oligarchs have given up on global warming and are going all out to expand the electric grid to support AI server farms.
"I'll Change for You" is a nice little climate book, well written and informative. But, I think it's a little too superficial on the science - which would be okay if everyone accepted and understood the science. And the advice on how individuals can address the issue seemed to me to be a little too simplistic. At this point, IMHO, individual virtue isn't going to make a dent and governments are too compromised and inept to get the job done.
Which comes down to a difference of opinion. I think that it will take major scientific and industrial breakthroughs to save us from a late century civilizational crisis due to climate change. Janet Elaine believes in grassroots activism.
So: How to rate the book?
Given Ms. Elaine's opinions and the goals of her book, I'd say she accomplished her objectives. I think she could have done a better job on the science - the evidence that global warming is real and what is causing it.
So, I think four stars is a fair appraisal. If you want a beginner's discussion of global warming and community activism, buy this book.

The author, Janet Elaine, has a big ask: "Everyone must take action. You must help. We need your help. Humanity depends on you." Like many, I felt that global warming is a problem caused systemically by our infrastructures, and there is very little one person like l'il ole me could do about it.

In the kindest way possible, Janet proved me wrong. First, the author educates readers with the science behind global warming to show that the phenomenon is real and happening now. With a renewed sense of urgency, she answers the natural next question: What can I do about it? She then reviews all the possible actions on a personal and community level that readers can take to improve the situation right now before it's too late. It's impressive how Janet shows us how we can help on all levels and how we have more power than we think to produce great change.

Read Janet's book so you can make a difference too! It will show and remind you of all the things you are doing to help the planet now and give you easy-to-implement ideas so you can continue to reduce your carbon footprint, which she also explains thoroughly in her book. Buzz terms like carbon footprint don't carry much meaning to most people unless we are shown their usefulness and how to use them, and the author does this effortlessly as she provides useful and tireless explanations of how to do this successfully.

I hope one day, this book will be required reading. It's information every person should know to help save the planet.

Heartfelt, clearly-written, and straight-to-the-point book on how climate change works, how it'll impact us all, and—perhaps most importantly—the many ways each of us can actually *do* something about it. It was cool to learn about 600-foot tall tsunamis (a real thing!), the Fairphone (an easy to fix, sustainable phone designed to last much longer than iPhones), and the fact that energy from wind and solar is actually *cheaper* to produce than burning fossil fuels. Now I'll have to tell my kids to take shorter showers and drink less milk (gulp), and talk with the spouse about switching to an EV. Worth reading.

I have a tendancy to put down books with lengthy and overly complex chapters, going on and on before offering any solution or practial tips. This book is the opposite. It offers quality information about how we can battle climate change, personally and on a larger scale.
