Initially set on an Earth that has closed itself off from the universe in a supremely fascistic way this follows the adventures of Uma Akkolyte, Dewydd and would-be captive Catrin as they jaunt across the universe, meeting aliens of many forms and dimensions, eventually returning home to make a stand and free the human race from the shackles of the World Government Alliance.
Great art by Marcus To and a refreshing amount of character development especially with regards to Uma, who at the beginning of the book is selfish and quite unlikable, but who, by the end, you end up loving and cheering on.

A friend recommended this to me and oh boy I’m so glad I bought this complete collection. Joyride is a breath of fresh air that doesn’t overstay its welcome. It’s a fun and spectacular ride from start to finish. To the stars baby!
