A really interesting examination of the history and legacy of literatures most famous Jew. As I have performed in a production of Shakespeare's "The Merchant of Venice", many of the ideas presented in here were familiar to me, as we had decided to make Shylock a sympathetic character. I was however introduced to a lot more Jewish history than I had been previously aware of.
I would recommend this to people who are both interested in Shakespeare, and antisemitism.
