Series: Norcross Security #10
Rating: 4 stars - It was really good
While undercover as a dog breeder, Brynn gets kidnapped and finds a dog fight ring. She knows she has to escape before Vander realizes she is in danger and goes on a killing spree.
This was a wonderful little novella featuring my favorite couple, Vander and Brynn. I love that we are getting another story with this couple because I have wondered how their relationship is going. Vander is still the intense and protective man he always was but we see that he is willing to hold off on killing if Brynn asks. Brynn is a wonderful and badass heroine who continues to be the perfect partner for Vander. I really loved seeing these two kick ass together and stopping a dog fight ring.
Overall, this was short, action packed and a great addition to Vander and Brynn’s story. I would love to see more shorts/novellas with them or the other Norcross team members in the future.

The boss finally met his match and married her now she has been kidnapped whilst undercover but he will come and protect what is his.
Sexy alpha men and women who protect what is theirs but don't think they deserve love. Finding that one person who brings them to their knees whilst fighting to protect them. There is action, power, angst, chemistry, intensity, suspense, mystery and so much more.
Anna Hackett should be someone on your TBR pile because she is good at what she does.

Back with a new MVP
Vander and Brynn. My favorite Norcross couple and my favorite AH male character are back. I am an animal lover so seeing the focus on protecting dogs and of course meeting Shadow made me jump right into this story. The graphic descriptions are heartbreaking, but build a vivid world of the dog fighting arena and the poor dogs abused. Shadow is the MVP and I thought it was hilarious when Brynn realized she would have to protect the bad guys from her husband. The brief mentions from the other Norcross men was fun and it was a great visit back to this series and world!

(3.5 star) I’m a sucker for “touch her and die” vibes and this was that. While I found the idea of the story intriguing, and the characters likeable, I felt like there was some holes and missed opportunities for build-up.

No lie, bad guys realizing how badly they're screwed when the fact Brynn is Vander's wife comes to light is my new favorite cryptid. I mean, Vander isn't known as the most dangerous man ins San Francisco for nothing. And when Brynn, the woman he would burn down the world to keep safe, is in danger, NOTHING is going to stop the big guy from stepping up.
That said, Brynn isn't some delicate flower. The lady can take care of herself. Sure, the current situation she's in isn't ideal, but she's doing what she needs to do. Partly because she absolutely knows the sort of havoc Vander could create if unleashed on the douchecanoes currently holding her captive. And while she ABSOLUTELY thinks they need to pay for their crimes, the destruction Vander will rain down on them is more than her policewoman self wants to contemplate.
So she sets out to rescue herself. And is she happens to rescue a few puppies along the way, who's going to stop her? NOT VANDER. Even if he SAYS he doesn't want a pup.
A little mayhem, a tiny case of stupidity from the bad guys, a lady who does what needs to be done, and a man who will absolutely destroy anyone who hurts his lady. MAN, I like this family and the entire Norcross crew!

Nola felt that time was running fast for her and with her life full of strongly committed couples, it was her time to get what she was missing. No matter what others expected of her, she knew who she wanted and was willing to fight for him. What she didn't know was that her life was also at stake. The Marines' code had to be taken very seriously and that at his age, and along with the bad experiences in his past, weighed heavily on Knox. But feelings cannot always be controlled and when the reason for his emotions and desires were threatened his protective instinct swept away everything and eliminated his doubts. The race in which Nola and Knox were involved was extremely intense and exciting. The enemies were everywhere and at every step. It seemed like an impossible mission to get Nola to safety, but Knox's skills were always present. Of course, Nola was not far behind and showed that she was also a woman of action. Surprising twists, intense fights with action and suspense from start to finish. I love these stories with protagonists who are very skilled in their field, full of strong emotions and personal conflicts that make me think and feel with them. I always like how the team of heroes integrates and adds more emotion to the plot.

Mr. & Mrs. Norcross is book ten in the Anna Hackett series by Anna Hackett. Detective Brynn Norcross was working undercover, investigating the murder of a local dog breeder. However, something went wrong, and Detective Brynn Norcross ended up tied to a chair in a warehouse. Detective Brynn Norcross was not worried about the abductors; she was worried about her husband. Continue to read this book to discover what happens.
Mr. & Mrs. Norcross is a lovely short story about the main character in this series, Vinder Norcross, and his wife, Detective Brynn Norcross. I enjoy reading this book because I like Anna Hackett's portrayal of her main characters.
I enjoy Anna Hackett's writing style, which always draws me into her stories and engagement with her characters. Mr. & Mrs. Norcross is a quick read and an excellent choice for a short break. I like Anna Hackett's descriptions of the settings in Mr. & Mrs. Norcross, which helped me imagine being part of the story.

Mr. & Mrs. Norcross is a short page-turner read with edgy suspense, action, stormy emotions, danger, passionate romance, and a special surprise for Vander.
Vander’s wife Brynn is an undercover officer for SFPD. Her new assignment is to solve a murder and breakup a dog fighting ring. It is unfortunate for the bad guys that Vander is hunting for who took his wife. He’s not too happy she is missing, and angry there is a dog fighting ring in his city. Brynn escapes but gets captured again because her heart won’t let her leave.
Fabulous thrilling, unexpected storyline with great character interaction and breathtaking scene descriptions. My eyes filled with tears as I read about the dogs being forced to fight and smiled when Vander and Brynn saved the dogs they could. The love between Vander and Bryne is clear in this read. Loved this story. I look forward to more romance action stories from this author.

The pace is fast and the tone is intense with an action oriented storyline that has one steamy scene. The characters are vibrant and kickass. This very short story takes place sometime after Norcross #6. It can be read after #9 also. You want to read at least Norcross Security books #1 - 6 before this story.
If you want more like this, read Treasure Hunter Security series in order, then Team 52 in order, then this one in order. You can read the Billionaire Heists books after Norcross #4. Then is you still want more, read Sentinel Security in order and then the Unbroken Heroes books in order. Enjoy these super hard knitting action romances!

Vander has been checking on her but she hasn't answered her phone and his gut told him something was wrong when the call came from her trainee that she had missed her check in time. Ace found the wedding ring tracker and Vander went after her. Alone the two of them took most of the bad guys down with the help of a puppy and they took Shadow home and Brynn got the puppy she wanted. Loved that the badass Vander is a softy for her. Great novella!

Oh man, having another sit down with Vander and Brynn was fantastic! I love catching up with my favorite characters.
When Brynn's undercover assignment to break up a dog fighting ring goes a little awry, you can be sure that Vander is not far behind the love of his life to help her kick butt (because even he knows that she can take care of herself) !
The story was thrilling, and exciting. I could feel the growth in the relationship between Vander & Brynn and how much they love each other. As always their banter is top notch!
A great short story in this series and definite read!

I loved the little catch up with Vander and Brynn. Too short though!
While I loved this little catch up with Vander and Brynne, it’s 51 pages! It literally took me 15 minutes or so to read it.
Brynne is investigating a case when the suspects kidnap her. It was quite thrilling as Vander is on the hunt. Phwoar. How does a book hero seem so sexy?
While it was too short I still really enjoyed having a catch up with these two. Can we have a Rhys and (Erm can’t remember her name.) next please?

Nobody touches Brynn and survives unharmed, as promised Vander attacks from the shadows and single handedly incapacities. Every. Single. One. Before sweeping his Mrs Norcross into his arms, he's dark, dangerous, deadly and very sexy, especially when she catches him cradling Shadow in his arma! Vander never disappoints, this steamy novella is a delicious surprise release. I read this on Kindle Unlimited.

Ahhh I missed these guys so much.
Brynn is undercover trying to catch a dog fighting ring. And she gets kidnapped. She is more worried about Vander finding her first because she knows he won't stop until she is safe but she needs to close this case first, before there is just a pile of men that he's punished for touching what is his.

Homicide Detective Brynn Norcross is investigating a murder that has morphed to include a vicious dog-fighting business. Hard to believe people can be so cruel to animals but Vander takes them all on single-handedly. GREAT QUICK READ. I vote for Vander as the toughest badass character in the written world. Linda

A short trip back into the world of Norcross Security, where we get to see what happens when someone makes the mistake of messing with Vander Norcross’s wife, Brynn!
It was fun to revisit the Norcross team, and I did enjoy watching Vander spook the bad guys.
This is a short story that follows on from the other books in the series, and is definitely not a standalone, but is a must read for Vander fans!

Norcross Security. A very short and fabulous book. Filled from beginning to end of action, drama, angst and badassery. Some crazy cray kidnapped Vander's wife. And yes Vander comes in like a dark avenging angel. I loved every minute of this book. Vander is my favorite in the Norcross Security series. He's also my most favorite character that this author has written.

Somebody told Detective Brynn Norcross’ target she was an undercover cop. He decided to beat her and had more salacious plans for her. She tried to warn him and now it’s too late, Vander’s arrived to get his wife and dole out punishment.
This reader had a hard time with this one sitting short due to the animal cruelty in an otherwise enjoyable read and it was good to visit at least this pair of Norcross’.

WOW! Great story. Recommend!
love this series! I hope there are more stories with Shadow in them. This was an intense story, but I’m sorry 😖 to say people do this for entertainment which is very sad. However, I love how this turn out. I hope and wish they all turn out like shadow story did. Thank you Ms Hackett for bring this to your reader’s attention. Maybe other people can spot stuff like this and turn the bad guys in.

No grammatical errors. Well -written, excellent world-building, and great dialogue. What's not to like.
The plot, though a short story was well-rounded and well-thought out.
The series itself is in my library because Anna Hackett is a keeper.
I could go on and on ad nauseum but suffice to say I haven't read anything written by her that I didn't love or regretted buying.

I could go on and on ad nauseum but suffice to say I haven't read anything written by her that I didn't love or regretted buying.

This was a hot read and not just in a sexual way — though there was some nice spell as well, but in a protective and couples goals way. I was very curious as to what could occur within so few pages but this small read had me hooked from beginning to the end! I loved their relationship and how protective they are over each other.
Especially when Brynn tried to warn the criminals about her man and fortunately, they had to mess around and find out for themselves. Also, shoutout to Mr. Shadow!

I enjoyed getting to spend more time with Vander & Brynn. The story did not disappoint. It has left me wanting more from all the Nocross Security characters. Ms. Hackett has a way of building her characters so that they come to life and the reader builds a connection to them.
I highly recommend all of Ms. Hackett's books, you will not be disappointed.

What a treat!!!I
What a treat it was to get to read about two of my favorite characters again. I loved their previous book! Now I have the urge to go back and read the entire series again. Thank you Anna for this very welcome short story it was very good.... I love your writing!!! 😇

Mr.& Mrs. Norcross
Love, love, love Vander Norcross and any stories about him. What a man!!!! I would love to know more about his back story. Maybe one day I will learn about his story when he was involved in ghost opps. I know that he has a dark side but he has a good heart as well. Hint hint hint!

If there's one thing you don't ever, ever do it's mess with Vander Norcross's woman, Brynn. If you do be prepared for a one man rescue team who will decimate you in the blink of an eye. Brynn is no slouch and can hold her own in most cases but when her cover Is blown and she's outnumbered, all she can do is wait for Vander to find her. It's only a matter of how long.
