Secrets build as Leo and Autumn make a decision that will change the course of their lives—eloping in secret.
Autumn swears she’ll never regret her choices with Leo, but every night he doesn’t come to bed doubt creeps in. Attempting to remain hopeful in a world that strives to destroy it, she concentrates on the Italian Lily and the employees, who give her grace and patience. The holidays are coming and the only one who seems to be missing is the man who holds her heart in his tender grasp.
Nothing prepared Autumn for the whiplash facing her ghosts, alongside the current shadows that creep upon her and Leo. The further they grow apart; the less control Leo appears to have. He’s slipping. And a trail of blood seems to follow him wherever he goes.
Autumn will do anything to protect the man she loves, whether from family or those who threaten to take her life. Even if it means she must play the final card hidden up her sleeve.
There’s a reason Sarah Marie was successful. There’s a reason why Autumn buried her. Will the ghost of Sarah Marie be the key to freedom? Or why Leo falls to his knees?
NOTE - Cliffhanger This is BOOK THREE of a series; a contemporary suspense romance with darker themes. Please check ALL CWs at the front of the book.
Elm Jed is obsessed with creating stories through writing, videos, or painting on random pieces of wood. When they’re not telling their best friend a new story idea from reading a book they hate, they’re playing DND, conjuring spells, playing dress-up, or going for a long drive. They're a Marine Corps Veteran, and love spending time with the Ren Faire family.
They absolutely love their supportive partner and husband, who makes sure they eat between writing and reading the books they collect for their hoard.

This book was soo good. Two plot twists?! TWO? Jesus H Christ.
I need the next one yesterday. LOL.
Autumn's been holding onto secrets, and they're even secrets from the reader, as things do not happen on screen. Wait. That's kinda a lie, but its also fully true.
I continue to love the mental health rep in this book. And now the BDSM slow burn has become a bit of a fire ...heh.
The showing that relationships continue to be work, even after all the coming back, and the love, and the smooth lines...if it all suddenly goes away, how's one supposed to feel. If they're you're safe space, and they're no longer there...how are you supposed to feel safe?
Just talking about it in a non-full spoiler way, makes me wanna go read it again.
SIGH. I wanted to like this series, every step of the way. So much so, I read all 3 miserable books. But I don't, and here's the thing.... the writing is so boring, this could be any other book about any other people, in any other setting. The last 10 pages are the only interesting ones in this entire series, where the FMC apparently has had a backbone this entire time, but the author decided to not let you see it as you follow 1500+ pages from her point of view. Why even bother.
The spelling and grammar in this series are horrible, and idk what editor (if any) are being used, but they need to be fired. The actor is Nic Cage, the term is wary (not weary), and the list goes on. just jfc.
I can’t not even begin to express how amazing this story is. From book one to book three. The twists and turns and jaw dropping ending leaving you wanting and craving more! I can not wait for the conclusion of this series in book four. This series needs to reach the hands of producers as this would be a great film for all. Now Elm…I’m sorry to rush you but I need to know what is happening next!
I read all 3 in this series in a weekend. I can't wait for the next. the emotion, the understanding of trauma, the twists, turns and cliffs. The slow burn, the safety! Feeling understood as I read Autumn. I cannot wait to reread the first 3 when the next one comes out just to live in this world again.
Absolutely outstanding. The character development. Amazing plot lines. Plot twists I didn't see coming from a mile off. Just Absolutely fantastic. Even better than the first two books in the series which I didn't think possible Well done Elm Jed!
This was a great book. Not only did it deepen the lore of both main characters, it had them grow together. I loved that we get to see Autumn taking her power back over the course of the book. I can’t wait for the next book.
Now, One does not simply create gold and not actually mine it. Come on! Love every bit of this well written story. Multiple genres done well. It's dark, funny, deep, anthology, romance, contemporary, action, thriller. Take your pick. Something for everyone.
Did that big hearted, kind, giving woman just walk in here dragging death and hell with her? I coulda swore…isn’t she the bosses girl? His sub even?…Then how the wait…
