Sandra Macek is the author of the young adult sci-fi series Scorched Earth, which includes the novels Kindling, Flare, Magma, and Firestorm. The crew is at it again in Flare, the second in the Scorched Earth Series from Sandra Macek. Eddie and her friends are off to save a species and run into some serious problems they need to unwind. As in the first book (Kindling) the perspectives of the characters are well thought out and woven together in a story that will hold your attention from beginning to end. The countdown for MAGMA has started to find out what happens next!

The second book in this series is every bit as captivating as the first! Brilliant storytelling, remarkable creativity and compelling characters. It's easy to lose yourself in this futuristic world and become fully invested in its outcome. The third book can't come fast enough!
