Ruth's dramatic story contains famine, death, loyalty, kindness, plot twists, and a baby come to save the day. This devotional studies Ruth and the book named after her in depth, prompting reflections about wise living for all readers of the Bible, men and women alike. Each entry offers easy-to-read substance in 10 minutes or less.
What a blessing- the only devotional I've actually read cover to cover. I especially liked the nuanced reflections and the acknowledgement of questions not answered/ different interpretations. It was also refreshing to see poems, Psalms, songs, quotes, and prayers from other authors connected to the passages. Literally has re-sparked a desire to study Scripture in depth, and the format of the book allows you to do so in such a manageable way.
This was an excellent devotional. I enjoyed how the authors broke up each day into digestible pieces that were easy to understand and follow. They provided significant insight into the vocabulary and culture that made for a more in depth understanding of the reading. Looking forward to the next book in the series.
