Mac's Choice by Terri Marie Pemberton kicks off the Broken Souls Motorcycle Club series with a familiar but engaging premise. Kate, a high school teacher in a small town, finds her carefully ordered life disrupted by the arrival of the titular Mac and his motorcycle club. When a drug problem affecting her students intertwines her path with the brooding and persistent Mac, an undeniable attraction sparks. Pemberton delivers the expected elements of an MC romance; a strong, protective alpha male and a determined heroine, while setting the stage for the drama and intrigue that often accompany such stories. The initial setup, though somewhat reliant on instant attraction, promises a deeper exploration of trust and safety as Kate is drawn into Mac's world and the dangers surrounding his club.
While the beginning leans into some familiar tropes, there's a clear indication of character growth and a developing storyline that extends beyond the initial romantic entanglement. very enjoyable
I really liked this mc story. There is one scene that I loved .. she is getting on the back of his bike for the first time and struggled to get on with any grace as she is short. I can relate. Anyway it was fun and believe, I thought the main characters were a good mix of traits and well drawn. I look forward to more in the series.

Mac and the club moved too a small town and when kids overdose they are blamed. But Mac and Kate is the perfect couple if they can survive.
