Once a spoilt Hollywood socialite, Libby Evans is now an Oscar winning actress 6 years after taking her first lead role. Her career is going from strength to strength, but she still hasn't found the right person to share her success with...
She's heading to Hawaii this week for her best friend's wedding, but what should have been a vacation full of luxury and relaxation turns into a trip down memory lane as Libby finds herself stuck at the same resort as TWO of her ex's!
There's Wentworth Turner, the boy who took her out of her life in the spotlight, and Ramsey West, the man who led her back there again. The two of them couldn't be more different, except for the fact they're both still in love with the same leading lady...
How far is Libby willing to go to finally make the choice between Wentworth and Ramsey?
Does she choose the boy who's never stopped fighting for her, or the man who let her go because he's only ever wanted what's best for her?
Bridget Van der Eyk is an up and coming contemporary romance author - “10 Dates” is her debut novel. She lives in country NSW, Australia on a 5-acre property with her husband (Josh), 2 children (Zoe and Max), and 2 dogs (Kevin and Stella).
When Bridget is not working a full-time teaching job or binging Korean zombie shows on Netflix, she is busy writing her next novel.
Bridget loves writing smart, strong, and sassy female characters that have little parts of herself embedded in them! #girlpower
Thank you to the author, Bridget Van Der Eyk, for inviting me to be a part of the ARC review team for this conclusion to 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐲𝐰𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐞 series. I am leaving this review voluntarily.
💗 𝕋𝕖𝕒𝕞 𝕎𝕖𝕟𝕥𝕨𝕠𝕣𝕥𝕙 💗
1. 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 - The witty remarks that all of the friends have for one another is so real. I love how they actually swear and give each other grief like people do in real life. I would fit right in!
2. 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐈𝐭 𝐔𝐩 - Bridget didn’t lie when she said there were going to be some open-door spicy scenes. And she did not disappoint, let me tell you! 🌶️
3. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 - An idyllic setting in Hawaii truly sets a scene for this conclusion. Quite the coincidence that Ramsey shows up at the same resort that Libby and Wentworth’s friend is getting married at, and it sure made for a great story!
4. 𝟐 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐬 - I’m not even sure how to talk about this book. I feel like everyone is either #TeamWentworth (like me) or #TeamRamsey. But no spoilers, so I can’t tell you how I felt with the actually outcome. I can tell you how much I loved Libby and Wentworth’s reunion and subsequent meetings but didn’t love the same with Ramsey. What can I say, I’m true to my team! However 👇🏼
5. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 - Without giving anything away, I will say that I am satisfied with the way that this series has come to a close. The progression that we saw Libby’s life take throughout these three books was monumental. To see her happiness at the end was just what I was hoping for regardless of the who!
I enjoyed this story between Libby and her two lost loves, Wentworth and Ramsey who re-unite after six years apart.
Libby travels to Hawaii for her friend Gigi’s wedding as her bridesmaid when she meets Wentworth, who is the groom’s best man. Not only does she reunite with her exboyfriend, Wentworth, but later meets another exboyfriend, Ramsey who happens to be staying at the same resort.
Over that week prior to the wedding, Libby gets confused between the two men and keeps herself busy with bridesmaid/wedding duties with Gigi and her other friends.
Past wounds rend open, and Libby finds herself deciding who she wants at the end, but then wonders if she’s made the right decision.
I found this story to be entertaining, with quirky yet authentic characters who don’t mind speaking the truth.
I would have preferred less narrative/description and more dialogue with forward action (but that’s in my opinion). I would have also liked fewer em dashes or breaks in the dialogue, as after a while I felt it broke the smooth flow of conversations. Despite that, I enjoyed the story and kept turning the pages. Well worth the read.
Imagine running into your ex, who happens to be the love of your life...now imagine running into your other ex, who also happens to be the love of your life...now add bridesmaid duties on top of that, and you've got The Hollywood Socialite series's third and final installment, 2 Loves Later, which finds Libby Evans faced with the biggest decision of her life, six years after two heartbreaking relationships. Will she choose Wentworth, the man who changed her perspective on life, or will she choose Ramsey, the man who saw past the Hollywood looks and saw the brilliant mind inside?
Bridget Van Der Eyk's latest novel does not disappoint as we see the conclusion for her beloved characters. Though one of us here at Bestie and Book is still back and forth on Libby's final choice (lol), what we both agree on is the beautiful and profound character arc we saw throughout all three novels for Libby Evans. From a superficial model to a confident, ambitious woman, Libby Evans' story is one worth reading.
**I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review. Thank you so much to the author for sending me this!**
4/5⭐️
Super entertaining and I flew through it really quick. I liked the writing style and I felt like I was immersed into the world. I also enjoyed the cast of side characters!
The main characters (Ramsey, Went and Libby) were okay. I didn’t really connect with them much, but I’m also aware this apart of a series, so take this part with a grain of salt lol!
But I did love the ending and who Libby ended up with. Overall, this is a good read for anyone who likes love triangles and a summer theme.
This is book 3 in The Hollywood Socialite series and I recommend reading book 1 and 2 prior.
It has been 6 years since Libby lost her two loves, Wentworth and Ramsey who end up re-uniting. Libby is in Hawaii for her friend’s wedding and she is a bridesmaid and the groom’s best man is her ex Wentworth. Then she discovers her ex Ramsey happens to be at the same resort.
Over the week prior to the wedding, Libby is staying busy with wedding things but she is also confused by the two men. Those old wounds are reopened and Libby is trying to decide what is the best decision for her. Both of them are trying to win Libby back in their own way.
A thoroughly enjoyable romantic flick, with a satisfying story and ending! I’m only disappointed I didn’t know it was the third part before I started so I feel like 1 and 2 are a bit spoilt. Maybe in a few years I’ll go back and read them to relive the story.
I read the first two of the series but this one takes the cake! It was written perfectly. I have always loved Bridget Van Der Eyks writing, so no surprise that I loved this one too!
Libby, Ramsey, and Wentworth are fun characters. They find themselves all in the same place on vacation. When the men realize they are at the same resort as Libby, each one in their own way try to win her back. This leaves Libby trying to figure out who is best for her (I was always team Ramsey).
2Loves Later resembles 10Dates, in that you are reading the characters going on lots of mini dates. I absolutely loved it. It was a sweet way to rekindle their relationships, and get to know each other again.
If you enjoy reading about love triangles, romcom, spicy scenes, then you will love this story! I do suggest reading the first two in the series before this one!
Third book in this series! I am not much of a love story kind of gal, but this series has me hooked! This series gives mean girls/gossip girl vibes.
This third book had my feelings all over the place. I am constantly flipping back and forth between Team Ramsey and Team Wentworth. The story is quick to get into and a fun read. This third book is set at a wedding on a beach! Staying at a hotel with both your exes! I mean what could go wrong?
Perfect ending to a series and feel like I need more!
