Born in Bara village in Kasargod, Ambikasuthan is PhD in Malayalam. Presently working at the Nehru College, Kasargod.

His notable works include 'Enmakaje', 'Commercial Break', and 'Basheer Bhoomiyude Kavalkkaran'.

Historical fiction depicts the rivalry between the Samoothiri dynasty and the Valluva Konathiri dynasty. The author narrates about a king who lived in those times and valued women's empowerment and equality in the system.
