Rate this book
A broken family. A shattered heart. A desperate plan for revenge.

Lucy was so close to having everything she ever dreamed of, until her world came crashing down around her. Now, dreams of a future with the man she loves are shattered when Lucy accepts an offer from Lord Laurent her hand in marriage for the head of her father's murderer. Lord Sloan is shrouded in secrets, and Lucy must uncover them all to save her family. Revenge demands a steep price, and Lucy refuses to let anyone else be the one to pay it. Even if it means giving up the one thing she wants more than anything else—Micah.

Micah is left alone to pine for Lucy yet again, guarding The Elderwood by himself. Except, this time, he knows two things for he has magic, and Lucy isn’t coming back. The secrets of The Elderwood are only beginning to unfold. What Micah learns has the power to save them all—if he’s strong enough to face his fate.

Lucy and Micah’s paths are destined to cross again. When they do, will battle lines be drawn, or will their love shine through to victory?

This was such a beautiful conclusion to the series, everything was wonderfully woven together to form a marvellous ending to the story. After the ending of The Archer’s Alchemy I was absolutely shook and was so excited to dive into this book and find out what was going to happen to our characters next.

The character development in this book is phenomenal and this isn’t just for Lucy and Micah but also the wider characters like Brax and the Baum family. Having the multiple POV in place to explore all of these other characters as well worked phenomenally to help enhance the story and bring us closer to these characters. My heart broke for these characters at different points throughout this book, over the course of the series I have become so emotionally invested in the happiness and well being of the characters. I absolutely adore Lucy and Micah, their relationship really has its ups and downs and your heart can’t help but bleed for them. This book felt like at its core it really truly was a story of hurt and healing, and it is handled in the most respectful and way and this becomes such an integral part of the story.

Exploring the magical system further and getting to fully explore the extent of the magical capabilities of the characters in this book is such an absolute pleasure, and this progression has felt so natural and powerful over the series.

If you’re looking for a series filled with fae, alchemy, a beautiful magical system, epic battles, love overcoming all, strong family units and amazing food based insults then look no further.

If you love those series where everything collides together at the end in an epic way, you need to read the last installment of The Lumen Legacy series. The plot twists, the reveals, the yearning...it was everything I could hope for. On top of that, my favorite Brax had more amazing vegetable-related insults 🤣🤣🤣 ...do not sleep on this last book, it was worth the wait!
