📚⇢ Tremendo giro ha dado la historia, fue toda una montaña rusa de emociones. Debería odiar a Wookyung pero no puedo, es un hombre súper black flag, no hay manera de justificar todas las atrocidades que ha cometido… pero de algún modo verlo siendo vulnerable y completamente loco de “amor” por Min-Ho, ha tocado una fibra sensible en mi que me hizo redimirlo. Lloré a mares en los últimos capítulos y no sé si me gustó que hubieran quedado juntos, no es un final feliz ni un final triste, es un final y punto.

Was fucked up the first 2 times I read it and it's fucked up now.
I've read a ton of dark books but this takes the cake in the "romance" genre.
Imagine being forced to be with someone you do NOT want to be with even though they declare their love for you and love bombs you after brutalizing you- it's horrific.
Idk why I love this so much though 😭
The moral of the story is absolutely trash...

Okay, so Volume 2 of Sadistic Beauty, Side Story with Cha Wookyung and Minho? Chef’s kiss. This volume really turned up the heat on their dynamic, and I’m totally here for it. Wookyung, as usual, is a complete enigma. he’s this cold, sadistic force, but there are these little cracks in his armor that make him so much more interesting. It’s like he’s playing this high-stakes game of emotional chess with Minho, and I can’t look away.🤌🏻🤌🏻

And then there’s Minho... bless his heart. He’s this quiet guy who clearly has a thing for Wookyung, but he’s also kinda freaked out by his dark side. Like, who wouldn’t be? Watching him go from unsure to (sort of) accepting his feelings is like watching someone slowly realize they’ve fallen into a rabbit hole they can’t get out of. And the best part? You can totally see how conflicted he is about it. 🙂

I loved when Wookyung was getting really attached to Minho, like the man straight up fell in love, but Minho was already too broken to make it up with it or realize it..and oh lord, I really loved Wookyung desperation in those chapters.😔💞💞
when Minho tried to kill himself at the ending, and how Wookyung reacted to it I was fucking hooked, yup!! that what exactly I wanted, when Wookyung realized how fucked up he was to lead his lover to this point! The ending was insane and exactly what I needed👌🏻🤭🤭

A la segunda parte le doy mérito de desarrollo de trama y personaje. Me sigue pareciendo una historia horrible que no tiene salvación a nivel romance y cuyo final te deja un gusto más que amargo. Pero destaco que la narración de todo el personaje de Minho me pareció espectacularmente trágico. Cómo maneja los temas de depresión, desolación, soledad y el pensamiento y acto de cometer suicidio me impactó un montón. Es muy triste, y a pesar que es una persona con actitudes cuestionables, nadie pero NADIE merece pasar por lo que pasó este personaje. Realmente te llega al corazón lo que va pensando y sintiendo, es lamentable que se de cuenta tan tarde de sus errores pero al menos logra hacerlo. Tarde en el sentido que ya estaba en ese punto de no retorno en el que no podía salir del pozo de la perdición absoluta.
Me da bronca que haya aceptado volver con el loco que lo tuvo secuestrado, es un feo mensaje pensar que la única manera de no estar solo es mantener a tu lado a alguien que te maltrata pero dice que te ama. Terminó siendo una mezcla entre síndrome de Estocolmo y una relación abusiva con uno que recurre a la violencia cuando se enoja.

The fact that I read this book expecting romance should lead this to be a two star rating.
But the art was pretty decent, I liked the use of shadow when the intentions were dark and the fact that this is one of the few manhwas that doesn't romanticize non concent and never sugarcoats it was refreshing.
The plot had me hoping things were geting better when he gets a job, starts cooking food but then has a relapse as the ml gets anxious over mc's new found independence and physically assults him.
After which it is downward spiral of alcohol abuse, sexual assult followed by suicide attempt.
The ending is slightly concerning with mc choosing to stay over as mc is the only one who loves him and he does find comfort in the fact, that whatever his feelings for ml be atleast he'll never be lonely.
Which raises an important question-'How many people out there continue their relation with not so ideal people just so they won't have to be lonely?'

The stakes definitely started getting higher and more violent. Minho started to show immense suffering. Wookyung was so scary this volume.
