Meet Dario DeMarco—the definition of a cold, ruthless, unhinged mafia alpha… at least up to the 18% mark. I almost DNF’d his ass. He was such a cold, cruel jerk to Madalina that I legit wanted to throw hands. But then… plot twist, baby. His layers started peeling back and underneath that brutal exterior was a man so deeply obsessed with Madalina, it was almost insane—in the best way. 😤💢💘

Once Dario’s mask slipped, we got to see how vulnerable and utterly gone he was for Madalina. His possessiveness? Obsession? Protectiveness? Off the charts. I swear this man was one emotional meltdown away from pissing on her to mark his territory. 🐕💦💀

Madalina was a queen in her own right—strong, smart, composed. She handled being forced into marriage like a damn warrior and stood her ground. Her forgiveness felt earned, and I admired how she held Dario accountable before giving him her heart. 💅🏻👑

Now, what didn’t quite work for me? The first 18% felt like Dario Version A and the rest like Dario Version B—almost like two different men. The angst and misunderstanding felt a bit forced and dragged on because of pride and silence, which is a classic MF mafia trope, but still frustrating. 🙄😮‍💨

And honestly? The vibes were straight-up Omegaverse without the knotting and the shifters. The over-the-top protectiveness, the breeding obsession, the way Dario acted like her pregnant belly was a damn religious artifact—this man was feral over her being full of his babies. 🐺❤️‍🔥👶🏻

I loved the ending where Madalina flips the script and surprises him with another pregnancy. Watching him panic and spiral like a sleep-deprived, overbearing daddy-to-be? Pure gold. 😂

Madalina isn’t ready to start a family but that’s not going to stop Dario. Can these two find some common ground and learn to agree on the important things in life.

I enjoy the first half of this book more than the second. The chase between these two was really fun. Once Madalina got pregnant I felt the conflict was solely based on the fact he wanted a baby and she wasn’t ready. The fun was overshadowed by their conflict.

There was some great twists in this story and Dario’s alpha side was pretty hot. The chemistry between these two was off the chart.

How can I not like this book with all the listed tropes?! If you’re the type of reader drawn to that way over-the-top, intense mafia alpha guy who does many questionable things to the FMC—then this book is it.

Dario is the epitome of everything one wouldn’t want, but this is fiction, and I loved every moment. He wants Madalina and wants to make sure she never leaves him. There are so many memorable, spicy scenes. And those questionable moments—ultimately, Madalina forgives him, so it’s all good, right?

But I enjoyed the underlying plot of “Vows of Sin.” Yes, there was one. Madlina’s father is unalived, and she wants Dario to do something about it, but in doing so, he becomes very protective for a good reason. Madalina, of course, is in danger, but the culprit is a mystery. I loved the plot twist and how it all tied together.

Spice, action, and a plot twist? What more can I ask for?

The premise sounds pretty good but I found the execution lacking. I thinks it’s supposed to be some dramatic reveal but to me it was obvious that he was obsessed with her since they met two years earlier.

Neither of the main characters is remotely likable. He’s a jerk because he’s mad she doesn’t want him and she’s a giant doormat who falls for him despite him treating her like dirt.

I love a breeding book but him wanting to “burden” her with a pregnancy was repugnant. He literally wanted to see her suffer as the baby “feasted on her energy”. That really put me off and made him extremely undesirable.

No cheating or OW drama. I’d call this safe but it’s not good.

This book was amazing! It had all the tropes that I absolutely adore – enemies-to-lovers Mafia romance, a grumpy hero, a sassy heroine, and yes...babies! 💖

Dario was everything you want in a brooding, grumpy mafia boss, but Madalina? She was not having it! As the perfect mafia princess, she brought the heat – fiery yet sweet in all the right ways. Their love story is a wild mix of sassiness, possessiveness, obsession, and spice. 🔥

And just when I thought I had everything figured out, that plot twist came out of nowhere and I loved every second of it.

Lilah has quickly become one of my fave authors. I can't wait to see what she writes next! 📚

This was such a good read, highly anticipated and I devoured every word. I literally couldn't stop reading, I don't even think I took a break to eat. These new characters that we've been introduced to you can already tell are going to take us on a ride. The story is familiar yet different which keeps it interesting. Seeing the male characters fall hard for the women in Lilah’s books is highly satisfying and this one is no different.

I honestly shouldn't even be surprised at this point in how hot Lilah’s books are and this one again just solidified that. I think all the freaking fans in my house get broken from being turned allllll the way the hell up every time one of her books releases. It's simply not fair!

The spice in this book is off the charts I think I had all the fans turned on high and pointed at me in my house when I was reading this. It is so spicy and you can feel the love between the two characters when they're just going at it and even before the true feelings get revealed to both MCs. The unspoken trust between these two just makes the spice even better!!

No one is perfect and people are hypocrites but it's written so well! I think I devoured this story in like 4 hours and that's only because I had to work and couldn't finish it faster.

I think we were all looking forward to seeing more male main characters like this in the future, because let be honest, he is straight up sexy as fuck. We deal with it. I love her MMCs because they seem to be deep and I'm interested to see how this evolves right up until the end, and I'm already sooooo ready for the next book Lilah decides to come up with!

I did not like how he treated her up until he talks to her and gives her the pills he seemed mad or indifferent to the arrangement. But then it got good and I loved him and all of his alpha take charge ways. I loved how she didn’t instantly give in to him after finding out what he did.
