This can be read as a standalone but is better if books are read in order to get an understanding of other characters. This is book 6 of 7 of The Devil’s MC series, with a HEA. Due to mature content and themes this book is recommended for readers aged 18+, this novel may contain triggers.
Hmm... What can I say here? It's the exact formulaic story as all her books, so it's predictable. Crazy ex girlfriend or crazy club whore causing all kinds of trouble. And I mean OTT, out of this world shenanigans. They're all mentally ill basically. Or is it clinically ill? A lot of recycled plot along with new as well, but I find myself bored and skimming those parts. I liked Tech to be honest. I find myself disliking the FMC's in this author's books because they're all stupid. It's not pride. It's stupidity. I'm sorry. I know that's harsh. Though I have to say this book was the most entertaining of the series. We get all kinds of drama. And to be honest I'm not really mad at Tech's mom. She was just being idiotic with holding in what she was. Also, I thought MC's put their brothers first? You got other brothers holding secrets for other brother's ol ladies and girlfriends. So you mean to tell me you're gonna hold back from another brother that his ol lady almost got raped? Yeah, not believable. These men are weaklings yet violet at the same time 🤷. One more thing about the writing it does need better editing. The author continues to write in all her books "you got another think coming." Instead of using thing.
Overall it was ok. I will read the next book about Sniper and Aurora, but I really hope we're not reading a lot of recycled plot again. I understand we have to go back for when the couple originally meets, but it does get a little boring.
I like this author when I want easy mc soap with OTT shenanigans. Yes, she’s VERY formulaic, but for the most part I dig it. I can put up with the overuse of the words rasp and smirk because I LOVE how these idiots let these club girls and crazy exes cause all this drama-llama.
BUT the one thing I can never just go with (blame the OCD) is an inconsistent plot. I HATE inconsistencies or more specifically when authors change the narrative or a set of rules/events to support a new direction of their story. It’s like asking me to wear a scratchy sweater, and this book was full of them.
So, my grumps… I get this is mc soapy-romance trash, and I shouldn’t be digging too deep, but I do expect the author to stay loyal to the plot she has delivered over the series as I have invested my time and money to arrive at book 6. There were SO many things that were illogical or conflicting, but I still would’ve probably tried to overlook them had she not tried to rewrite the narrative of Carol’s character/actions within the same book… like I forgot what I had just read… or am dumb enough that I would just believe something unconvincing just because she said so… because that was just insulting.
Tech fell hard for Brooke knowing she was the woman who was his future. Their relationship though was not received with open arms by Tech's mother. One moment they are happy, the next Brooke is faced with a decision and lets him go. Can Tech win her back or are they doomed?
I liked Tech but the cheating aspect even though they are technically not together at the time bothers me. I get why Brooke balked, Tech I feel dropped the ball with this mom. Had some interesting plot twists though. I like the series, they are all a bit angsty but overall entertaining.
So is it just gonna be a running theme in this series that the hero's have evil bitches for moms and they get forgiven EVERY SINGLE TIME?!
Sorry Carol while I agree what Eagle did to you makes him a shitty fucking person that deserves mutiple kicks to the testicles that doesn't execuse you abusing Tats and being a shitty ass person to Brook🙄
This had me thinking the worst because this author has wrote about one of them loosing to cancel before and I thought I was going to be a blubbering mess again thankfully it wasn't that and there was a happy ending loved it and now I'm left wanting aurora and snipers story because she went missing aost three series ago I'm so glad they are goingt to find her and her story of what happened I can't wait
Rasp, Smirk this author loves these two words. He rasped, she rasped, I rasp. I’m not sure why I even read this book based on the others in this series. This is a MC “romance”, using romance loosely here. This book opens with Tech the MMC fucking a much older teacher in her classroom when he was 18 in the ass. It goes downhill from there.
There are club girls and OW drama. Techs mother causes a lot of issues with Brooke the MFC. Techs old girlfriend comes to town and kisses him for Brooke to see, she runs off. There was this debate going on in the book because a couple weeks later Tech fucks a club girl in the ass and gets a blow job from another one. I think it was cheating as he had every intention of winning her back but taking that point out it was disrespect that he would start up with that in such a short time. She says he was drunk which she did in the other books to like being drunk justified the act but he was not to drunk that he could not get it up and choose to go back door to eliminate pregnancy. This author does this in EVERY book in this series. There is some type of “breakup” between leads and the MMC ends up fucking someone else or getting giving oral. Another point is in these books there is family drama and OW drama and someone trying to hurt the MFC. It’s the same story recycled every time. There were editing mistakes and a lot of repetitive talks that occurred. With all the fucking around she did not bring up STD testing. She mentioned condoms with the sex scene (which can break) but no mention when he got the blow job.
Brooke lets go of the fact that he fucked the OW and got a BJ with no demand of testing before sleeping with him again. The drama with the mother was over the top and her reasons were a little stupid. The torture scene with the ex and mother also over the top.
The pregnancy vs cancer was stupid and illogical. The kidnapping and premature birth the cord just so stupid. The thing is if you are going to have plot points that are not realistic in a book commit to it. Make the whole book more fantasy create a different reality. The author tends to try to create the MC world but will toss in these over the top would never happen in real life plot points. It ends up being a mess and the story looses impact because of it. Also, using all main plot points in each book just switching it up a little does not make for a unique or entertaining read. I felt liking I was watching bad reruns.
It’s not that the author is a bad writer but it feels like recycled material from her previous books. Example in another book in the series it’s the MMC Dad who causes drama and the MMC gets a BJ and makes out a bit with another. Evil OW etc….
If you read any of the other books in this series no need to read this one just switch out the names and you got the story.

Good story, always entertaining. Problem with editing though, there are some bag grammar and spelling issues but also some of the stories are not remembered properly and sometimes the names of the characters aren’t correct
Cheating = subjective to most. I felt it was cheating as the H had every intention of being/staying with the h. He had anal with one CW and then oral with another after drinking (no excuse, IMO). Even his internal dialogue, the H felt like what he did was cheating. He and the h were on a break...*insert eye roll*
Grovel = H and h had grovels to make to each other. h for not being open or communicating with the H; H for not doing what he should to protect the h from OWs and their shenanigans (like dude, step up and put them in their place and stop letting them be in not only the h's face but his as well; H not putting them in their place made him look so weak, like dude are you not in a MC? Do you not have the strength to enforce a decision when you make it??) and for not fighting for the h.
OW drama = OW1 (ex-gf from high school) and OW2 (H's mom) were constantly scheming to get the H to marry OW1 despite the H not even being with the OW1 since high school?? Both OWs are rude and cruel to the h.
I think I'm kind of the odd man out on this one, because, well..... I enjoyed this story so much. I think I have been deprived of decent angst/drama stories, so this one sucked me right in. Was it believable? NOT AT ALL. The evil OW got away with so much shit against the club, that any worthy MC would have NEVER let her get away with. She (by the laws of MC fiction) should have been killed at that hands of betrayed MC members MULTIPLE times. But the club just let her keep pulling her shit. The drama was so over the top and ridiculous, but I sucked it right up. The outraged feelings were very entertaining. And that ending! Holy hell. Talk about an evil OW pulling her shit one too many times and getting exactly what she deserved. Oh yeah! This story made my day so enjoyable yesterday. It's been a while since I read a story that left me smiling like this one did.
Recap: Brook is a girl from a good family but has some love issues due to not understanding her mom being killed in child birth and her father’s love for them, but finding love after her death. He almost lost himself after his wife’s death but found love again and it confuses Brook. She loves her Momma and doesn’t want to feel her father pain and rebels against love but her half siblings are very thing to her along with her family. Tech is a MC guy who doesn’t believe in love either and all about the girls and MC life. Then they met and everything changes, they are instantly drawn to one another and her family Loves him but his momma is a huge issue. She never accepts Brook bc she knows she won’t make him choose between the club and her and this causes many issues as far as his mom setting up his ex to mess up the relationship with Tech and Brook. She walks in on Nina(ex) kissing him and she bails. It comes out his mom was hurt bad by his dad and she didn’t want her son in the club, but thought someone could pull him out, WRONG! Nina takes it as far as Brook being assaulted then their baby almost being aborted by a doc who was sleeping with Nina and was manipulated. Then Brook is kidnapped and the baby is taken by Nina but recovered thankfully and then In the end it’s a HEA and his parent shave a lot to work through but Brook and him work things out and are together and raise their son as a happy family.

Another story with over the top drama and some pretty explicit moments of trauma. I was entertained, but this story only kept my attention because of the bonkers plot.
The writing in this one was a bit messy. For example, scene shifts would happen between one sentence and the next. Then there were flashbacks that occurred far back as yesterday with the H and h, leaving us out of the moment in real time. Then the constant references to a lot of other characters and brief summaries of their dramatic plots in between the current plot and happenings, made for some light skimming and extraneous detail that made the story feel a bit clunky.
Will I read another book in this series, and will it have the same format as this one and the ones before? Probably. This character-driven reader is really just here for the bonkers plot at this point.
Tech & Brooke: triggers- bullying, sexual assault, kidnapping, drugs, false diagnosis', etc. First let me say that I love the fact that even though Tech is the computer guru of the club he's not chained to his desk. When it comes to the ones he loves, he doesn't have a problem getting his hands dirty. This story is really good but it also gave me the "ick". There were so many things I loved about the story but then there were some things that irritated me. There's a lot of repetition, so much so that I thought Alexa was tweaking as my Amazon echo was reading aloud. But when I looked... Nope, definitely repeats, a lot. This book is drama from start to finish. It's an unbelievable roller coaster ride.
What a twisted and romantic story. This couple had to endure many challenges and struggles. They had to fight not only their pass, but their family. That put a strain on the relationship, causing many drastic measures. Devastation came to them in the most drastic way and for a quick minute You thought that everything would be lost for them, but like everything else of this author writes everything was conquered with a bit of violence and a whole lot of love from the MC members to family that recognized the wrong that they were causing both Brook and Tech. Absolutely loved this book, couldn’t put it down and highly recommend it. Can’t wait to read the next book in this series.
I really enjoyed Tech and Brook’s story. I found the story line interesting and well written. A few mistake but this series has improves as it’s progressed. The rollercoaster Tech and Brook had to go through to get their HEA was certainly interesting and I’m pleased certain characters got their just desserts! I like it when an author makes you change your mind about a character and she certainly did this in the case of Carol. I went from really not liking her and her attitude and meddling to feeling heartbroken with the way she’d been treated by Eagle and Tech at one point.I went from liking Eagle to not liking him…he did redeem himself. On to the final book.
This is the sixth book in this phenomenal series and this is Tech and Brook's story. This is a well written story which is an emotional roller coaster, with family, friendships, loyalty, challenges, lies, betrayal, intrigue, suspense, danger, twists, heartbreak, determination, romance, and unconditional love, which leads to an entertaining, haunting, tragic, and spicy, thrilling page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
The love between Tech and Brook is so strong. They needed it to be strong to go they their trials. I'm glad Nina got what she deserved who in their right mind would hurt a baby.
Tech's Mom has a lot of hurt inside. Nobody really understands her until finally it all comes out. I felt so bad for what she actually went through. But you do learn why she is the way she was.
I just can't get enough of this series. I loved Tech's story and all the twists with Nina and his mother. I'm so glad they got their HEA. I though it was sweet how they met for the first time in high school, even if it was brief, it showed the type of person he was. Each book can be read as a stand alone....but you would be missing out not reading each one.
I have to say the whole series has been a good read. Although I have to say, the men are first class idiots. You just want to smack every one of them, we’ll accept for Tatts, up along side the head; and this does include the fathers of the characters. The idiocy has to come from somewhere, and when watching their fathers and listening to what they say to their sons. Yep you can see why they mess up the way they do.
No matter how young you meet your mate, there's always someone who was there before you. A first love, A high school fling, a first time, A first love. You are always second best. Always being compared to the first. Even if you are the chosen, there are on some level comparisons. If your parents preferred your first, the second is inferior. Such was his "Angel".
I love this author’s MC series, Tech and Brook knew each other since high school. They reconnect as adults, Tech is sexually attracted to Brooks. Tech’s mother and past girlfriend tries to break up the relationship. I enjoyed reading other characters from the past series.
This is a great series. I am anxious to read Sniper and Aurora's story. To read these stories of the love these men have for the women they consider the one is great. Sure they mess up and there's a crazy bitch in their past but they manage to get their happy ending. Go and read this series, you will not be sorry.
Such a fantastic read. I absolutely loved Tech and Brook’s story ❤️❤️❤️ Full of every element a great MC novel needs to make it magnificent. Jealous ex girlfriend creating havoc and chaos for Tech and Brook, danger and drama abound. This book is a definite page turner and very entertaining. 100% recommend this book to everyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ you will not be disappointed 😎🖤
This book has it all so far out of the series this is my favourite .It has everything the MC side is good but the story around it is just so enjoyable to read and unlike many other books the end is good well thought out and written sadly so many get over the story and leave you saying well what happened these books actually give you an ending
I snort, shaking my head; subtle, real subtle. I can't let him give me a ride home; he makes my heart skip and my stomach flutter. He, oh God, he's giving me the same feeling my dad said he had with my birth momma and my momma, and that's a scary thought.
Brooke and Tech’s story is about finding love in the most unexpected of places. Trauma induced fear breaks them apart but their abiding loves help them find their way back to each other. There are so many beautiful moments of reconciliation and redemption in this story and In eager to see how Aurora and Sniper’s unfolds.
Definitely amazing read. It is intense, it is emotional, and so much more. The twist with techs mom wow. You will dislike his mom and her actions throughout the book.
This author seems to always pull me out of a book slump, and I appreciate that. Ok my bad is that; I hate how the MFC most if not always take the blame for their man cheating. That's a no for me, but overall I loved it.
