They say opposites attract. Find out what happens when the star football jock falls for the bookworm tutor?
Adison I’m more interested in calculus than college parties, and I love to spend time in the library. I don’t have a social life, but I can’t complain. Not only am I attending Tennessee University on an academic scholarship, but I’m also tutoring students in math, something I really love. When my well-meaning roommate Anna drags me to a college party and I embarrass myself in front of a gorgeous guy, I may never leave my dorm room again. Come to find out, party guy is none other than the university’s celebrated football hero. Imagine my surprise when the favor I end up agreeing to for my math professor turns out to be tutoring that same hero. I hope he doesn’t recognize me as the one who doused his lap with a huge glass of beer.
John I’ve been living my life for this opportunity. I’m not only the quarterback of Tennessee U, but I’m also following my dad’s legacy. All that’s great until my coach insists I meet with a tutor for my failing grade in math. I’m not thrilled about the tutoring, but if I work as hard in math as I do on the field, it shouldn’t take much to get my grade up. And my athletic scholarship depends on it. When I meet the blonde beauty for our first tutoring session, I’m instantly attracted to her. There’s something that seems so familiar about her. I’m stunned realizing she’s the same beauty who managed to trip, land on my lap, and spill an entire glass of beer on my crotch. How can I be so attracted to someone that’s my opposite with a smart mouth too? What is it about this blonde beauty that makes me want to prove myself? Not only in math, but in everything I do.
This is a steamy insta-love short story that will leave you reeling from all the feels. No cheating, no cliffhangers, guaranteed HEA. Can be read as a stand-alone or as part of the Tennessee U Rebels series.
In the heart of Tennessee, love is as unpredictable as a the team's next play. Follow the Tennessee U Rebels, with passion as intense as a game-winning touchdown, these college-age characters are in for a steamy ride. Get ready to join the team and cheer on the Rebels as they go for the goal in matters of both the heart and the field. Go Rebels!
Born and raised in the Midwest, an ice cream lover, a passionate photographer and will choose chocolate milk over coffee any day of the week, author Chloe Monroe loves reading and writing love stories. She is inspired by a happily ever after with a sexy hero and a vibrant heroine that readers fall in love with. She brings passion, humor and a touch of humility to all of her characters. Chloe shares her own happily-ever-after with her husband of over 30 years. She has two grown sons, a daughter-in-law and a cat who thinks she owns the house.
Adison Miller was born with heart issues. She has to watch her diet and do light exercise. She avoids alcohol but her friend does convince her to go to a party at the football house. Adison drinks soda. She ends up being pushed and falls onto the lap of a really cute football player. Adison is mortified and rushes away. Adison tutors other students each semester. She agrees to do a favor for her Math professor. She ends up having to tutor Rush Radcliffe, the university’s football hero.
John “Rush” Radcliffe is following his father’s legacy by attending the University of Tennessee on an athletic scholarship. He is the quarterback for the Rebels. He is failing calculus so the coach tells him he has to work with a tutor to get his grade up. He thinks his tutor is a guy until he meets Adison. She looks familiar but it takes him almost a month to figure out that his tutor is the same gorgeous girl who fell into his lap at the football party.
They are attracted to each other, but I was concerned that they were too different. Rush is used to girls only wanting to be with the quarterback and not caring about who he is as a person. Adison has trust issues stemming from her dad not really caring about her. Good story.

The start of the Tennessee U Rebels series once you start you won’t want to put it down until the last page has been turned. Adison is sweet more on the shy side works as a math tutor for the university helping other students, she isn’t the partying type don’t understand sports so and so when her roommate gets her to join her an after game party where she notice a sexy guy spills her drink, his friends drink in his lap of course she runs. John sexy as all get out top football player with a father who went pro knows how to tell him how to go pro, but it starts with his grades and his coach sets him up with a tutor showing up he recognizes her but can’t remember where and she is hoping he doesn’t remember her because it is too embarrassing for her. Until the day he remembers and the magnetic pull between them can’t be ignored and the more they are around each other the more nothing turns into something so much more than just dating until she arrives to see him carrying his ex. upstairs without any context and she heads home with a broken heart but are things the way they were, when he reaches out he tries to explain but of course her eyes saw what she saw, so when he shows up will she listen, and where are they headed to happiness?
John and Adison. Shes the nerd with a heart condition making her to follow a diet, exercise and no drinking, and hes the jock with a football scholarship. She has a scholarship to Tennessee, tutor's students in math, her favorite, and stays in the library. Her roommate takes her to a party, against her will, and she ends up spilling a drink in the lap of a hot guy. Mortified she runs away. Ground open, swallow now. Ughhhh. Hes the star quarterback at Tn. Hes also failing math. Her professor wants a favor and yea you guessed it. She just hopes he doesn't remember her spilling a drink in his lap. Takes him a while but, he does remember her and now he has another dream besides football. Shes not a party girl so when she likes him its for him not being with a football star and he likes that only having girls wanting the football star and not him. Really a great story couldn't put it down.

The perfect woman fell into his lap and then disappeared
Tutored by the Smart Girl is the first book in the Tennessee U Rebels series. This story is about Adison Miller and John “Rush” Radcliffe. Both are students at the UofT but are on very different tracks. She is smart, dedicated and watches her health closely as she was born with a heart issue. He is at school on an athletic scholarship and is the quarterback of the Rebels, the football team. When he is struggling with calculus the professor asks Adison to step in and be his tutor, as she tutors other students. What no one realized at the time is that these two had already met when she had fallen into his lap at a party, but then has rushed away before he could find out who she was. Now he has his chance and nothing is going to stop him from scoring the most important touchdown of his life...and love.
2.5✨ For a story this short, there was an unsettling amount of inconsistencies and some grammar mistakes. The pacing was pretty good! I expected it to be quite rushed, but it wasn’t at all. For me, it’s pretty neutral. I can definitely see how people will love it because they do have some nice banter. However, for me, the writing style of smut was the opposite of sexy. “Holy massive cucumber” and “wet folds” are just a turn-off for me haha. It’s a quick read, and there’s a series for the whole gang, which I’m an absolute sucker for!

John aka Rush Radcliffe plays football for Tennessee U but he needs a tutor to get thru his calculus class. Adison is his tutor and he likes what he sees. This is an excellent feel good story. It’s sweet with a tiny bit of steam and an awesome read. Reading about these two falling in love just makes you feel good. Great storyline, great characters and a wonderful read. Loved it.

Adison is a brainy and innocent college student focused on her studies. John is a sports jock with a one track mind towards a football career and a party lifestyle. He’s forced to get a math tutor but gains so much more. This is a young adult, college age romance. It’s a quick read and part of a series but may be read as a stand alone. I recommend this book for mature audiences. I received this ARC in exchange for a fair z as no honest review.
The book was good and was a quick read. There wasn't anything in it that wowed me though. The third act break up was predictable and played out exactly as I expected it to. I figured that with Adison's health issue that that would have been part of the drama part rather than the ex. I did enjoy the make up scene when Rush gives her the gift.

Adison & John (Rush): Book 1 of Tennessee U Rebels: Opposites attract/ college/ tutor-quarterback/ football romance: Quick & spicy read. Interconnected standalone. This was a good start to a new quickie series. Chloe Monroe’s writing style works well with quickie novellas. I really enjoyed her contributions to the Frostwolves and the Holidate series as well.

The author has given us a wonderful "opposites attract" story that pulls us into the lives of John/Rush and Adison. The story keeps us turning the pages with instant connection, insecurities, misunderstandings and steam.

Adison and Rush have a nice relationship. They shouldn’t make sense since she doesn’t like football and his the football star, but they are cute together. I kind of liked it. I felt it would draw on and on at times. It was okay. It’s mildly steamy with some cute scenes.

This book is really cute. The characters are well written and the story line doesn't go too far into football. The build up to their relationship is very sweet. I enjoyed this book. It's the first one I've read by this author and I look forward to reading book 2.
-dual POV -no om drama -virgin heroine -separation: few days -ow drama (H's ex gf, he had no interest in her) -experienced hero -they used condoms 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 (he keeps condoms in his nightstand and carries condoms with him in his wallet 😒) -no cheating -the h is not the first virgin the hero has been with 😒 -low steam -epilogue: 3 years later (married with a baby)
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. It is a heart felt romance that is sweet. Adison and John are opposites but are attracted to each other. I like how sweet John is and especially his gift to Adison after a misunderstanding.
corny/cheesy and predictable. felt like a short knock-off of “the hardest fall”. weird grammar stuff for the first few pages? like “to Anna the field”?!? do you mean grace??? interesting enough to not be one star
Adison and John’s story is exactly the kind of sweet, steamy, and hilarious opposites-attract romance I needed. I loved the nerd-meets-jock dynamic, the laugh-out-loud beer spill scene, and the way their chemistry built so naturally. Chloe Monroe knows how to blend heart, heat, and humor into the perfect college romance. Can’t wait to read the rest of the Tennessee U Rebels series, go Rebels!
