Moving to Upwood was supposed to be a great new start.
The beautiful mountains, the warm inviting people, my great new job.
My husband and I knew that this was exactly what we needed to have the slower paced life we had dreamed of for years.
Or at least that's what I thought we planned.
Because now he seems restless, and is quickly growing bored with our new adventure in the mountains.
He's coming home later, making less effort in our relationship, and slowly pulling away from me.
Soon our brand new life is unraveling, and the person who helps me through it, is the last one I would have expected..
Uphold is book 2 in the Upwood book Series.
There is no cliffhanger, tons of spice and like in all my books, there is a HEA.
About the Upwood The small town of Upwood sits quietly in the Brimstone Mountains. Though the town is small, the hearts of Upwooder's are big, and many of them have come here looking for something more in life. More authentic, real relationships. Real love. Follow along to see their different journeys.
I'm not going to lie I liked Rockwell and Evy well enough all things considered but the start of their relationship is just sketchy. I don't like that she was married when she first met Rockwell and was looking at him like a whole meal and vice versa. And for me it just tarnished her and Rockwell story that she was already in a marriage when they met and hadn't closed that door yet. Don't get me wrong yes Ford was a whole ass but it just gave me bad vibes. And staying with Ford when he already cheated on you once and you guys only been together five years and he's doing it again I was like get a clue you guys weren't good for a while so I don't get why the hell she stayed with him to begin with. And Ford was a straight dumb ass. Nobody wants to be your doorknob. You cant just keep taking turns with whoever whenever and think your wife wants to stick around for your messy bullshit. Talking about she couldn't do certain things as his wife. Trust the thrill of someone new wears the fuck off real quick. He was such a pos loser. And the only thing I didn't get was that part about Ford having a separate account that Evy knew nothing about but she mentions earlier in the story she had her own separate account aside from the one they shared. And it wasn't mentioned anything about him knowing about that account or how much was in it unless this was a mistake on the part of the author.
A heartwarming story of renewal and the rebuilding of ones self worth. It is said that everyone has a soulmate. Evy was able to find hers at a very bad time in her life. I could only cheer for their HEA. Evy and Rock's romance was swoon worthy.
I love Estelle’s books and this one didn’t disappoint. Rocky yum yum. I love everything about him. Evy deserved a great guy and there isn’t one better than Rocky. The only thing I wish the author would give is more of a description of the characters.
As much passion and love as this books gives off it’s really just sweet county story (in a good way). lol I read the first book and loved it and this one is no different.
Another fabulous love story and deep friendship. The support and friendship that Rockwell and Evy build is a great foundation to ever lasting love. The community of friendship and acceptance makes me smile. Well done Estelle.
