Dean Bonner is a Southerner's version of Patrick McManus. This is his first children's book and I got for my six year old grandson, who is that wonderful age where imagination and truth sometimes cross the beams and sometimes it's hard to tell when it's okay to do so. This book uses a simple concept to show what can happen when you tell too many stories AND how you can turn that wonderful imagination into something good. There's a terrible, awful groaner of a pun on the final page that may go over some young heads, but the adults will get it (whether they want it or not.)
