That got to me. Unlike Gideon, I didn’t like to read nerdy books, or talk about philosophy, or whatever it is that smart people talk about. Somehow, Ethan touched the nerve that I’d hidden with my success, and it zapped me. I wasn’t smart enough for a girl like Goldie. I was, and always will be, just a dumb hockey player.I got this book for free, and it was a cute little hockey read! Set in Toronto, Goldie is a fun, smart doctor studying concussions. I loved her relationship with her parents- her dad is the coach of a local professional hockey team and believes in her as any dad should. I didn’t mind her psychic abilities either; I thought it was a nice twist for someone so rooted in science.
