Willow Jordan, 22, is the world's highest-paid supermodel, born to A-list parents and a multi-million dollar trust fund. Meanwhile, Riley Coleman, 23, was born to blue-collar parents in a small mountain town. His sudden rise from obscurity to music stardom leaves him disoriented, navigating the pressures of fame and fortune.

Their paths cross at the Empire State Building on New Year’s Eve, where they share an intimate connection without knowing who the other is. When they meet again weeks later and discover each other’s identities, they make a deal: Willow will help Riley adjust to fame, and Riley will introduce Willow to a normal life.

A slow burn friends-to-lovers you're gonna love! 💗🔥

Most friends to lovers stories I’ve read involve a pre-established friendship, but this one? WOW! They start as strangers, build a flirty friendship, and end up as lovers. It was all verrryyyyyy delicious. Does it have spice? YES, and I loved every second of it. The tension!!!! Did I mention it was off the charts? 🫶

You have Willow Jordan, the highest-paid supermodel in the world, who the media thinks is a total meanie, but she's actually a softie at heart who’s just misunderstood. Enter a newly famous country singer who's still figuring out how to deal with fame. This combo was so CUTE, and the banter? AGH!

I really enjoyed this book 😍 it’s the perfect palate cleanser! If you’re craving a slow burn with amazing chemistry, this book is it. Can’t wait to read the rest of the series!

Tropes
💞 celebrity romance

This is such a cute debut novel!🩷 This is such a sweet romance with little to no drama so it’s very lighthearted, it’s fast-paced, & a lot of the book is made up of dialogue so it reads quite fast👏🏼

Willow is labelled as a mean girl only because she’s hot, confident & successful. She’s actually really sweet, caring, kind & has a big heart for the special people in her life. She’s also quite sassy in a fun way which I adored. Riley is incredibly humble, charming & sweet, & gives major boy next door energy.

Willow & Riley’s relationship was built off of a solid friendship that was super cute & wholesome!! Their banter was so funny & sarcastic, their text messages were fun & flirty, & they had such an easy going sort of relationship that developed naturally. I just wish that we got to see more romance & romantic development because the only “real” romance that happened was right at the end & they were strictly friends for the majority of the book.

I also genuinely enjoyed all the characters in the book (minus the journalists but they’re irrelevant lol)🥰

Thank you to Lilah for the arc in exchange for my honest review🩷

This book was the perfect celebrity ROMCOM! I fell in love with all the characters and found myself rooting for not only Willow and Riley, but all the supporting characters as well.

The way Willow and Riley's relationship grew was just so magical. I found myself giggling and kicking my feet at how wholesome and sweet all their interactions were.

DEFINITELY recommend checking this one out. 5/5 will be reading everything else Lilah writes.

Thank you to Lilah for the ARC copy! 🫶🏻

I was fortunate enough to receive an ARC of this book from Lilah Morris.

I think that this was a great debut novel from Lilah. The plot was super fun. The pacing was good, and I stayed up till 1:30 in the morning to finish this book because I just had to keep reading until the end.
We have Willow, who has always been in the spotlight, and she does not get the best press. Then, we have Riley, who is new to the spotlight, and is well-liked by the public and press. I enjoyed the contrast between Riley and Willow's relationship to fame, and it perfectly sets up the plot and the eventual romance between the two.
I really enjoyed the romance between Riley and Willow. It felt super organic and not rushed by any means. I loved the banter and flirting between them and trust me there was some good flirting and banter. Also, there were some great moments as well as little things that went into Riley and Willow's relationship. Lastly, I am glad that Riley helped Willow stop caring so much about the media's opinion of her. Also, I am glad that Willow actually communicated her fears pertaining to the media's opinions and how she fears how her image would affect Riley's if they went public having a relationship because miscommunication/lack of communication and third act breakups go hand in hand, and I mostly don't enjoy that, so kudos to Lilah for not forcing me to suffer through that.
Something that also must be said is that there are really great supporting characters in this book. The supporting characters had personality and really added to my enjoyment of the book. I also appreciate the podcast interlude element. It gave the reader a fun little look at the public perception of Riley and Willow, but it was also interesting and true to pop culture type podcasts/media.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book. A 5/5 star read. I would recommend anyone to give this book a read especially if you like celebrity romances and friends-to-lovers. I can't wait to see what Lilah writes next!

Was sent an e-book copy to review this for the author and omg I loved it!

If you love a low stakes romance, this is it! No big messy climax, no big miscommunication or betrayal, loveeeeee.

The best friend Heena is truly the best friend ever and I need one of her in my life!

Lastly, I’m not a big country romance lover, and this isn’t a country romance necessarily but the mmc being a country singer, this is the only country romance I’ve seen mention the hat rule so I loved that!

A fun, sexy, heartwarming read!

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 5 star read!

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of Strike a Pose, a beautiful debut by rising star author Lilah Morris!

I loved reading about Willow and Riley. Willow was such a great main character, and Riley’s character supported hers so well! I loved her sense of humor and her relationships with her sisters and Heena, as well as Riley’s relationships with his band members.

This book is perfect for fans of Keeping up with the Kardashians and their new show The Kardashians on Hulu 🤣🤣 If you’ve ever wondered what the lives of the super wealthy and famous might be like, Willow’s story is for you! Her character arc made me think a lot about super famous families and how they deal with fame, especially the importance of family, both biological and found family.

Riley’s backstory also made me think a lot about fame and how quickly people can become famous now. The internet really can make a sensation overnight . Even his band members went from being regular guys to being in the spotlight and learning how to handle that. (Shout out to Ethan, who stays true to his personality despite so much new attention 🤣 loved that guy!)

What I loooooved most of all was the build up to Willow and Riley spending time together. Their text messages were so fun to read and really gave insight into their personalities! As two people who are under such media scrutiny, the privacy of text messages (compared to email, social media, etc) gave them a place to connect. But they really shined together in the scenes in Riley’s hometown.

Overall, I loved this book! I will definitely be adding Lilah Morris to my immediate read author list, and I can’t wait to see what she does next!!

What a sweet and romantic friends to lovers story!

Lilah did amazing on her debut novel and I was lucky enough to receive an ARC! Willow & Riley's story was so adorable, I couldn't get enough! Riley was a perfect book boyfriend! (that hat scene iykyk) I'm not the biggest fan of the insta love trope so I'm glad we got to see their friendship develop first. The characters were all so real and I think that we got a pretty accurate insight into that celebrity lifestyle! I can already seem something interesting developing with some other characters so I can't wait to see who the next book is about!

What an incredible debut! Thank you so much for the ARC Lilah - you absolutely have a new devotee. Willow and Riley had such natural chemistry, and I really found myself invested in their dialogue. Not to mention some incredible scenes involving… less dialogue 🫣

Their relationship wasn’t the only star of the show. It’s rare for me to become so invested in characters aside from the main couple in a Rom Com, but this supporting cast really grabbed my heart! Ethan and Nellie were two standouts, and I’m crossing my fingers for more content of the entire gang.

Overall 5/5 - Lilah, you have my attention!!

oh. my. goodness. where do I even start? this book was SO GOOD that I wanted even more when I finished it!! Lilah Morris kindly sent this to me as an e-ARC, and when I tell you it’s probably the best ARC I’ve ever read, I mean it. Riley’s character was EVERYTHING, and Willow was so relatable as she’s clearly misunderstood. If you love friends to lovers, this book is absolutely perfect for you!! like I said, I received an e-copy of this, and since I loved it so much, I went on Amazon immediately to buy the physical copy!!

Strike a Pose is the debut book by Lilah Morris and I was fortunate enough to receive an e-arc of the story. We follow famous super model, Willow Jordan, and up and coming country music star, Reilly Coleman. Willow has been in the spotlight her whole life and wishes to experience that feeling of normalcy and Reilly agrees to help Willow feel that in exchange to help him adjust to fame. Along the way, an unlikely friendship blooms and sparks start to fly.

The chemistry between Reilly and Willow was so sweet. There is nothing better than a cowboy teaching you how to ride a horse and then serenading you in front of millions of people. Reilly truly knows how to woo a girl. And Willow is your typical high profile it girl but you see a side of her that you don’t see behind the media. I also really loved the relationships between friends and family. There wasn’t a single character that I didn’t like.

Read if you have a love for celebrity gossip, and want something to make you smile. This book includes some of my favorite tropes, including friends to lovers, celebrity x celebrity, and cowboy vibes. This is a first in a series so I’m excited to see where other characters go from here. 🫶🏼

LOVEE this book!! I was an Arc reader and thought this was a very strong debut from author Lilah Morris!

The chemistry of Willow and Riley was hottt! 😳🫣 🔥

I loveddd country boy Riley! Main character, Willow’s, “nice girl but bad press” reminds me of Hailey Bieber, and if you ask me I’d much rather have a cute country singer than Justin (sorry Justin)! The bar scene! 🤩 chefs kiss 💋 🤠. Chivalry is alive with Riley! I love a man who protects his girl!

Along with the main couple, I loved the supporting characters, especially the dynamics of the sisters, Willow, Aspen, and Maple! Maple reminds me so much of myself, and I love the celebrity parents with funny baby names theme. For celebrity names, Willow, Aspen, and Maple are very tasteful and cute! I’m interested to see which of Riley’s friends may get with Willow’s in future books?! (Ethan and Heena?? Pls write a sequel Lilah 🙏🏻)

Highly recommend and can’t wait to read more by Morris in the future!!

An amazing story . Willow is a famous supermodel from a very important family . Riley is an up coming singer from the country . When they first met he didn't knew who she was and they became friends . While she travels the world for Fashion Weeks and photoshoots and he is doing a USA tour they always find time to facetime or just text . Even though their is attraction Willow is afraid to start a relatioship with him because of way the press is judging her . When the two of them finally meet and she is staying at his house with his family she realises she is in love . Will Riley make her realise that they can have both , their love and their careers ?

One word for Lilah Morris: Wow!

It's been a while since I've read such an engaging debut, and Morris exceeded my expectations. Romance is a saturated book market, but "Strike a Pose" shines through. I received an advanced copy but am not obligated to leave a review.

The ensemble cast and concept of 'found family' drew me into this book. While we get lots of time with our main protagonists, the humorous and entertaining members of the band and Willow's family are what transformed this reading experience. Fans of "Daisy Jones & The Six" should check out this read! I especially loved the inclusion of the song lyrics.

Excited to read the rest of the 'Blame It on Fame' books!

I did not expect to like this as much as I did. I totally devoured in like 3 hours. This was a really sweet feel good romance. The banter between the FMC & MMC was cute and endearing for the most part. Personally, I love the attention to detail with Riley’s band mates. They all served a significant role…and I loved the references to the funny shirts

First off, thank you Lilah for allowing me to read an ARC of your debut novel, Strike a Pose!

Lilah! This was a perfect debut novel! Willow and Riley were the cutest and I loved watching their relationship grow. Their meet-cute was so sweet, and just shows what a gentleman Riley is! I can go on, but everyone just needs to read this if you love romcoms.

If you love friends to lovers, slow burn, and NO 3rd act break up... read this. Actually read this regardless, lol. Can't wait to read more from Lilah.

I was so lucky to receive an arc of this debut book and I am so thankful! This book was amazing and I loved the friends-to-lovers. I could honestly imagine every scene and loved how real the characters were. I will say though, I did feel at times the pacing was slow, which is why it’s not a full five star for me.

I cannot even begin to describe the warm feeling I had reading this book.

This story is E V E R Y T H I N G 🤍 . It has been a rough week already, as if I was hit by a truck or something.. I was lucky to have been chosen for this ARC, since it was the ultimate summer read. The light-heartedness of it all made me devour the book in only 2 days, even though I was exhausted..

The best parts of this one were:

💎 - plenty of LOL moments - I literally had to laugh out loud at times, which gave me more energy & made me tap into the story even more!

💎 - f(r)amily dynamics - it’s refreshing to read about a healthy, functional f(r)amily for once. I do believe it’s as equally important to show the world healthy family dynamics in stead of the toxic ones.

💎 - the sheer light-heartedness of it all - a story about 2 people falling in love, all the spotlights are on them & nothing else matters. I love how things are pulled into focus here, without trouble looming in the background, ready to mess everything up.

💎 - last but not least, HOW GENIUS IS THE POP CULTURE PULSE PODCAST ADDITION IN BETWEEN?! Not only does it give another perspective on things/people from the story, but it gives me some kinda Gossip Girl vibes (& I adored the series, I’m still obsessed years later 🤣) #youknowyouloveme #iykyk

If you haven’t read this one yet, the book is coming out on 3rd of October, 2024. You do NOT want to miss this, trust me! 🥹🫶🏻🤍

Also a big shout out & thank you to author Lilah Morris to let me read the ARC, it has been a real pleasure & I cannot possible wait to read more of your books in the future! 🤍🥰

Willow is a famous model, from famous parents. She comes across as bitchy and the press and public don’t really like her.

Riley is a superstar on the rise in the music industry. He’s seen as sweet and both the press and public love him.

An unlikely friendship between the two forms when they meet one NYE. She’ll help him with fame, he’ll help her with normal life.

This slow burn, friends to lovers, low angst story is a sweet romance about fame, love and how others perceive you. Riley is completely smitten but Willow is reluctant as she’s seen the downside to fame.

The burn is very slow, they spend more time apart so we read more about their individual lives and what’s happening in them than the actual romance but, that said, it was still a sweet read. A bit of steam once they finally get together. When they are in his hometown together we really get some great scenes both with just the two of them, and some of the supporting characters.

Thank you @lilahmorrisauthor and @booksirens for the e-ARC of this story.

AMAZING Romance novel right here. I enjoyed every moment from start to finish. From the character development, to the humor and banter between Willow and Riley, the storyline, and the length of the novel, it was exactly what I look for in a casual read. Perfect for when you want to relax, unwind, and be taken into a romantic fictional world. The only downside is I'm now lamenting that I don’t have my own Riley! Lol. Anyway, if you are looking for a romance book of a reasonable length, not needlessly drawn out, love endless teasing and banter between the love interests, and like all things fashion, celebrity life, and/or country music and boys, Strike a Pose by Lilah Morris is for you!

"𝒯𝑜 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝓇𝑒𝓈𝓉 𝑜𝒻 𝑜𝓊𝓇 𝓁𝒾𝓋𝑒𝓈.."

Strike a Pose is a debut novel by author Lilah Morris that'll make you say, "WHAT?! THAT'S A DEBUT NOVEL?!" Because holy Prince Riley, this has the making of a book that will hit the charts! I felt like I was reading a Christina Lauren book, I was grinning like a maniac at two am, and I 𝒹𝑒𝓋𝑜𝓊𝓇𝑒𝒹 this book in one sitting.

Read if you like:
♡ air punching, silent screaming romance
♡ supermodel x country singer
♡ witty banters
♡ cute messages
♡ slow burn spice (lvl 2)
♡ celebrity NYE party meet-cute
♡ loving families & friends

The book follows Riley, a small-town country singer who is new to music stardom, and Willow, a supermodel born to celebrity parents. They met at an A-list NYE party where they hit it off without knowing who the other is their chemistry was pretty obvious from here. hehe. After weeks, they met again at the Grammy's where Willow helped Riley be more comfortable around celebrities, that's when they made the deal, Willow would help Riley adjust to the celebrity life, and Riley would help Willow embrace a normal life. 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗢𝗠𝗚 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗜𝗦 𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗨𝗧𝗘 𝗧𝗘𝗫𝗧 𝗠𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗔𝗚𝗘𝗦 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗘 𝗜𝗡! I tell you, I was so giddy, that I was kicking the air and having internal screaming sessions while reading lol. Their banter and chemistry were out of the roof!!

Strike a Pose is a light-read romance, that has a light drama plot, and light spice, yet, the delivery, the writting, the characters, SERVED. This book truly is a story of self-discovery and unexpected slow-burn romance. But more than romance, it is also a story of the love of family, how Willow always chooses her family before herself, whenever her sisters need her, she's always just a call away, and how Riley picked his friends to be in his band to support their families back home. Ah, my heart.

Thank you @lilahmorrisauthor for this wonderful book! Riley and Willow will forever be a favorite ♡ This was an unputdownable read, I NEED MORE! I can't wait to read Heena's story next!

♡ Riley and Willow deserve each other so much, the tabloids can shut up lol I hate those two gossip girls, (I don’t even remember their names anymore lol) every time the chapter opens to their gossip channel, I roll my eyes lol
♡ Riley and Willow balances each other out, their personalities are opposites but their chemistry is palpable from the first time they met. I love how vulnerable yet safe they are with each other
♡ the book is well-written that you can easily put yourself into anyone's shoes
♡ both families are loving and supportive, even their friend circles are all green flags, from their parents, to their siblings, to the body guards and the bandmates.
♡ Willow's parents and siblings are very loving and supportive, coming from fame, they know how to push Willow to her spotlight without putting too much pressure on her.
♡ I ADORE Riley's bandmates! I love Ethan so much lol I just know there's so much more to him than being Riley's number one fanboy lol
♡ DID I ALREADY MENTION THE CUTE TEXT MESSAGES? I DID? WELL I'M GONNA SAY IT AGAIN LOL. Their messages and calls were soooo cute! My cheeks were sore from grinning the whole time! All hail Prince Riley and Princess Willow indeed lol.
♡ this book is proof that celebrities will never be immune to gossip and bad publicity, and how strangers would quickly jump into conclusions and judge others for the sake of "entertainment" and being "honest." It's a reminder to just shut up, if you don't have anything nice to say, especially if you don't know the whole story. I hated that one bit when the gossip girls were talking about Willow's mom's health condition, yet quickly made it about Willow without knowing the whole story. I just wanted to give Willow a hug.
♡ how Riley and Willow supported each other emotionally, they weren't just there for each other for their deal, you know that they're both good people raised by loving families
♡ When Riley invited Willow to his childhood home to meet his parents I LOST IT. He knows how to make a girlie feel appreciated! And this was the time when Willow really needed a friend, it was nice that Willow didn’t make the trip about what she was going through and actually gave Riley’s plans a chance. And that kiss under the stars! Period.
♡ THE SONGS! Ugh, I swear this book should be made into a movie or a series, just so I can hear Prince Riley sing those songs!
♡ the "Willow" whisper in front of thousands of fans, I MELTED! That is THE dream of every fan girl! Author Lilah Morris knew that would be the icing to the cake
♡ Ooooohhhh, the spice was so good. The book is a slow burn, and it didn't burn too hot to touch, it was just right.
..I had a lot to say and I know I have more to say I was just trying to tone it down a bit hehe.

First thought: I enjoyed this one, its celebrity romance which is always a fav trope. When two worlds crossover at a party and an unlikely pair become friends. It was fun seeing this friendship grow as they work on their careers but be warned it is a very slow burn! My favorite part was the text chats they had to stay connected, so good.

Willow is a world famous supermodel, she is at the top and because of it she gets a lot of hate. The media paints her in a negative light and says her nepotism is what earned her the top spot. Because of this Willow keeps a very tight circle of friends. Yes she is successful, lives in an elite world full of nice things, her parents are famous but she also works to be the best.

Riley is a small town cowboy who randomly caught a break when a song went viral. Before he knew it he was signed to label, and his single was the top of the charts. He was thrust into fame overnight and is adjusting to it all. After he plays the NYC New Year’s Eve performance he goes to an after party where he runs into the most beautiful girl he’s ever seen. Later he connected the dots and realized who she was.

Fast forward and Riley and Willow cross paths again, this time they exchange numbers and strike a deal. Riley is going to help Willow learn how to be normal and Willows going to help Riley adapt to life of fame. Since Riley is touring the country and Willow has jobs booked across the globe they stay connected through text and FaceTime.

Check this out when it releases Oct 3rd, 2024 to see how Riley and Willow go from Friends to Lovers in this cute Celebrity Romance.

Favourite Quote: "No but the difference is I want you to fall at my feet. I'm already at yours."

Someone just get me a country boy ASAP, please. I'm not normally one for friends to lovers but I ate this right up. This book made me feel how 00's Rom-Coms do, everything was sweet and cute and there was no 3rd act break-up. I liked the banter and fun Riley and Willow had together, although their initial connection had a touch of the insta love vibes, it wasn't acted on immediately and instead they developed a solid friendship throughout the book (their little text chains were adorbs). I also loved the fact that Willow had good female friendships around her, so often these books are forced to contend with catty or jealous female friendships, but there was none of that here, only sheet support. The random moments of hearing from the Pop Culture podcast was also great and so relatable to how we ingest celebrity news in modern life. I am looking forward to reading more of this series (I do feel this book had a good bit of laying the groundwork for future works). And if someone could please get me a country boy who defends my honour, makes me playlists and names entire albums after me, I'll take that too.

✨ ARC REVIEW ✨

You guys this was so freaking cute!!!! I’m a sucker for friends to lovers so of COURSE I was going to enjoy this one <3 I really enjoyed meeting Willow and Riley, but the side characters were pretty cool, too! (Heena you’re my spirit animal and I’ll love you and cherish you forever <3)

I truly appreciated the fact that there was no 3rd act break up, and that the sex scenes were tastefully placed throughout the last third of the book. Willow and Riley’s relationship didn’t feel rushed at all and it seems like they have great communication with each other, which I love because healthy love >>>>

The book was nicely written, absorbing and easy to follow (I literally read this in one day) however I do think the ending felt a little bit rushed (for me) I appreciate that everything was resolved easily but I just missed a tiny bit of drama (this is 100% my personal preference tho) I loved the whole backstory with Claire (f* you very much by the way), and how the author didn’t go the obvious way by pairing Heena with Riley’s friend! I hope she’s hinting towards a model x bodyguard relationship in future works, tho!

This is a very light and cute read 💕

Both Willow and Riley are such lovable characters. I really enjoyed them both as individuals and as partners. Kind, grounded and both extremely talented. I can’t help but root for them both towards the end!

One of the aspects I appreciated was that the book didn’t rely on heavy conflict or unnecessary drama. It allowed the characters to grow naturally, without the need for extreme situations. However, I did feel that there was room for a bit more tension or emotional depth in their relationship. A little more conflict could have added layers to their bond and pushed their connection even further

I think it was written really well. The lyrics are to SWOON for. The text messages were cute but could do without them.

My only notes would be that:

As mentioned above, I think they got off the hook too easily with making their relationship public. Which is not necessarily bad! Could spice things up a little, especially when this was the main reason why Willow prolonged the relationship.
The plot was to help Willow adjust to normalcy and Riley adjust to fame. However, the execution was a bit overwhelming and kinda lost its meaning towards the end.
I wished we saw more of Riley’s southern roots! I loved that there was a focus on Willow and her super family, but because this was emphasized at the beginning of the novel, thought we would get to see more of it. Even the lyrics didn’t feel too cowboy ( Still loved it though)

Thank you Lilah for sending me the ARC!🩷

This cute romance offers a refreshing perspective on celebrity relationships. Set in a world where public opinion can be harsh and judgmental, the novel follows a supermodel and a rising star as they navigate friendship, love and fame. I like the refreshing take on celebrity's love life that is relatable in entertainment world nowadays, where everyone seems to have a say on their love life or even whatever they're doing.

What sets this story apart is its dual narrative. We experience the couple's world from inside and outside (in a form of a podcast narrative). Lilah Morris provides a unique approach to highlight the disconnect between public perception and private reality, reminding us that we can easily judge them without any sympathy and full of prejudices.

Beyond the romance, the novel offers a valuable lesson about the importance of kindness and empathy. It also made me understand how important it is for public figures to keep up appearances and hire a good PR firm😃.

Nonetheless, it's not a heavy story by any means. It's a feel-good read that won't leave you feeling drained, this is the perfect choice for those who suffers a reading slump. With its witty banter, it's sure to lift your spirits and make you laugh.

Dual pov, small town boy, city girl, friends to lovers, no 3rd act breakup, slow burn, grumpy x sunshine, opposites attract

This book is so cute! Such a good celebrity x celebrity romance, while also reminding us we don’t know everything about the life of public figures. Seeing how the general public see Willow and how she actually is serves as a reminder that we all need that we don’t have all the facts when it comes to the lives of these people who are in the media. I do hope that in future books or off page that Willows public image does get better and people see her and how much she cares for her family.

Reilly is such a southern boy, in the best way. I love seeing Reilly and Willow first become friends, maybe be a little flirty while doing so, but can you blame either of them. And then them slowly become closer and then get together. I was hooked, I procrastinated doing my homework, read during class, it’s just so good! The second half went so fast, I cannot wait for book two!

Thank you to the author for an early read of this book. All thoughts are my own, I do not accept money for reviews.

A cute debut from Lilah Morris.

It was sweet, fluffy, and easy to read. Well written. Likeable characters. The podcast was a nice touch. It was heavy on the dialogue, and short on chapters. Perfect for those with short attention span, like me. Highly recommended for anyone who is looking for some angst-free, light, quick read.

For me it felt like it was written for those who are looking for a ~safe~ story or for those who are new to rom-com genre. The way they ended up together felt rushed and therefore lacked depth. There wasn’t enough character build up, not enough to bring more spark, deeper chemistry between Willow and Ryder.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. Much appreciated, Book Sirens and Lilah Morris.

Thank you to BookSirens and the author for providing me with a copy of this book for an honest review ☺️

This was super cute and fluffy and MWAH 😍

We have Willow, an amazing super cool supermodel that just wants to have a nice life. We also have Riley, a super sweet teddy bear of a guy that’s a newly famous country singer. And, we have a world of fans intent on keeping Riley single forever … dun dun dun …

The plot is interesting; I loved their little meet cute in NYC at the beginning and how it basically never leaves Riley’s mind AKJGKLFDJGKLJG SO CUTEE. They were super cute together all the time and we all need someone like Riley in our lives <3.

In all seriousness, I felt the plot could have had more depth; it was fun to read though! This may be my adventure side calling for a kdrama like plot that tries to kill her though so don’t listen to me lol. The story did feel a bit short, but it made it a nice short cute fluffy read! Definitely recommend if you’re looking for something short that’s not too intense <3
