The third book in this series, and another absolute winner. After facing a werewolf at age 10 and a vampire at age 15, 18 year old Allen is back to face a witch. With the help of old and new friends, he's facing his toughest challenge yet, one that he isn't sure he's going to survive. Just like the first two books, this was fast-paced, had some funny moments, but also had moments that definitely tug on the heart strings. All I kept thinking was poor Allen needs a damn long vacation after all this loss. I wasn't ready to see the end of this series though and I'm so glad there was a little note to say a fourth book is coming. I can't wait to see what Allen is up against next, and I can't wait to read it.
Allen just wanted to finish high school, but something had other plans. A witch is sacrificing people. Allen and his group must fight to stop her before she can finish her plans. BFull of action and great characters. Awesome series
I Kill Cursed Creatures has fast become one of my most favorite series ever. All 3 of these books were 5 stars for me. You are missing out if you haven't read them. Definitely a lot of blood, death, and gore for books with such funny titles. Great horror reads. I wish I felt that I could describe the feel of them accurately. Reminiscent of Monster Squad but much more brutal and violent.
This is a super scary installment to the series. The group finds themselves up against a horror that has been around for hundreds of years and they only have a short time to defeat it.
I’ve been eagerly awaiting this book and knocked it out in one sitting. Great cap to a trilogy. By the time I finished this book I got serious Monster Squad vibes, one of my favorite movies as a kid, but on an adult level. And not just this book, the previous two always made me feel that way. Even got some Odd Thomas feelings from it as well. The MC continued to deliver perfectly and you could feel how he was starting to mature and harden towards all the supernatural events he seems to attract. He’s the type of hero you wish the idiots in all the horror movies was. Use your head and stay the heck away from the obvious danger, but brave enough to attack it head on even when the situation is dire. The detail in the scenes plays out perfectly in your mind and you thirst to see what is coming next. I was happy to read at the end that there is going to be yet another book featuring these characters. All in all a great book, a great series. One request if the author reads this. Can you push to make the book a little longer? Not at all complaining, just a personal preference, I love long reads.
After dealing with a werewolf and a vampire, we now find ourselves well into the 1990s and Allen DeShawn might be facing his most dangerous foe yet. Mysterious occurrences lead up to missing persons and, with the help of his parents and friends - some old and some new - Allen discovers the horrific source of the occurrences.
I have absolutely fallen in love with Sam Whittaker's creation: the characters, the stories, the dialogue and, of course, his writing style. I had to pace myself a bit in an attempt to make the book last just a bit longer and now that it's finished, I almost wished it paced myself a bit more... almost, because the reward of finishing the book is well worth it. Again, a terrific piece of fiction by Sam Whittaker and I am very much looking forward to what comes next.
Ok WOW this is one of the scariest of this series so far. Wow our characters go through so much in this book and the action and death count just don't stop. This is an excellent written book with complex and wonderful characters that I just love. I want to see them go on and continue fighting these well written and thought out monsters. I loved this book and really love the way this author writes he grabs your attention and just never puts the brakes on until the last page. A winner of a series and an author in my book
Such a fun series. I haven’t read anything quite like it where the hero’s are the kids and their families. Usually the parents are oblivious and I love this little circle of monster monsters that has developed, grown, and adapted throughout the three books. Each monster story is well written and you get very invested in the town and the characters. All I can ask is for more books in this fabulous series please!!!
Book 3! This time Allen and the town goes up against a Witch! No spoilers here!!!
This trilogy was just a really fun read! Throwback to the 80s/90s and fighting in order a werewolf, a vampire, and a witch. Sam nailed it, and Allen needs a damn vacation! lol
The last book of this series. Whittaker said that he would write another book with Allen and Christina in it. There is a short story with their children in it that I will read. This was a good series overall.
This whole was excellent. This would make such a great set of movies. The story themselves were entertaining, the characters made things realistic, and I was pleasantly surprised. Great series, can’t wait for the next monster…
These books (3) are the best! You can lose yourself in the all the horror & gory details of who's going to live, who's going to die & who the monster is.
