Also, to fans of our other stories, please note this is a bit of a departure. It's a bit lighter, with a little more humor. Not quite what we would call Rom-com though. We both thought it might be fun to give monster romance a whirl!

Gleeful Goblin Review: Oh my gawd, this book y'all. I'm always down for a cozy romance and this one doesn't disappoint. Not only is it sweet and plenty steamy but THEY BOND OVER ROMANCE NOVELS. "Again, his voice is soothing, and I am not going to complain as I allow him to feed me. It’s nice to have someone take care of me. As a foster kid, that’s not something I ever really got to experience. It is almost intoxicating, actually. And story time? I am feeling like a little girl, but in the best way possible. “Tell me, what do you think of this book you are reading?” He changes the subject abruptly. “Oh, it’s amazing,” I say, thinking about my favorite character. “There’s this character Xavier…” Suddenly, he laughs. “Yes, I know, he is one of my favorites as well. I’ve read the whole series” Red pipes up before I can say another word. “He’s always falling in love with the wrong woman, only to find out that the right woman was waiting for him the whole time.” “The maid, yes!” I feel my heart flutter. “But they can’t be together because—” “She is below his station. It’s a compelling love story,” Red says to me as he places another spoonful on my lips. I wave it away. I’m too excited that this man knows about my favorite Xavier books. “And the way the author weaves in a murder mystery! I just love all the books. The way he always ends up solving a crime with the heroine! And then there’s all that court intrigue. The plots are always so well put together, but in this one, what the hell! I only want them to act on their forbidden love. I get so frustrated. So many moments where they could be kissing.” “Agreed,” Red replies. I hear the bowl being set down nearby. “But I am sure they will get to the kissing part.” “I’d like that.” I feel my face burn. He doesn’t mean the characters. I can tell by the way he said it. He is talking about us. He means to kiss me. “Then why don’t we? I mean, they?” I hear Red chuckle, and then the bed groans under his weight again. And just like that, before I have time to think further, I feel lips on mine, large and gentle. I put an arm up to touch his face, but he catches it in one of his hands, and for the first time, I really get a sense of just how massive he is. His cóck was huge, all right. God, is it huge. But his hand easily circles my arm. His lips are huge, too, but so soft and gentle. The kiss is brief but promising; if I want it, there is more to come. I want him, and he wants me, too. The air is electric. It’s wild, but I’m going to do it. My body is crying out for release. I can already feel I have practically flooded my pantíes. God, what is it about this stranger?"

Girl, if I was in this situation I would do EXACTLY the same thing and feel the same way. The blending of zesty, comforting, and adorkability can't be beat. Loved this book the whole way through. 5/5 Stars.

Alex loves to read and she is currently in love with the book bf Xavier. Her cat is Jax and she is supposed to go away with her girls for a reunion but they all cancel on her. She goes anyway, gets lost and ends up going through the magical protections of Monitor Township, where magical creatures live. A while back, Red, Troth and some of the other un-mated males work with a witch to cast a spell to get their mates to come. Red is first up. He finds Alex and saves her. However, quite a few of the people of Monitor are of the opinion that humans should be killed if they don’t turn away at the barrier. So mega problems arise. For someone like Alex who grew up in the system, she hasn’t really ever felt safe, and yet she does with Red. The fact that he is a troll, really doesn’t matter to her. It just makes her feel safe. I spent a lot of time going awwwwww. Or giggling. There are steamy parts too. I really enjoyed the story and can’t wait for Troth to get his story.

Prince Charming Comes In Many Forms

This was such an adorably sweet read, and it wasn’t too long either. It was easy to squeeze it in between longer books as a nice palate cleanser. Our sweet FMC, Alex, is all about her books, and would happily live in them with her favorite book boyfriend if possible (wouldn’t we all lol). When she unexpectedly ends up on a trip by herself, she finds herself lost & in a hidden magical realm, but maybe being found by our MMC Red (a troll who had a witch to thank for being on the lookout for his mate) will be just the stroke of fate that she didn’t know she needed. What follows is a humorous & sweet journey of 2 fated mates who both need each other more than they know. It touched on deeper emotions more than you’d think for a shorter story, and had just the right amount of conflict & 🔥 I was thoroughly entertained, and I’m actually really looking forward to the other stories in this series.

Oh, Wow! Great start for this series, I didn't know what to expect as this is the first book I have read with the hero be considered a "monster" as he is a Troll but consider me smitten. Monitor aka monstertown is briming with bachelors looking for a HEA but there are not ladies to make this happen. Human technology had made these magical and other creatures difficult as they can't risk being exposed to the world and put a target on their backs. I will not tell you more as I don't want to ruin it for you. Without saying you will find a sweet troll, an out of her luck human, lots of spiciness and a HEA. Can't wait to read the next one. Oh, and I was forgetting Mature readers only!.

This is Book 1 of Mates of Monstertown starring Xavier and Alex. I have to say this one started off sad and a little depressing but keep turning the pages Alex is about to have the adventure of her life and Xavier is the troll prince in shining green skin to save her. I loved the way these two meet and fall in love. This story helps you see sometimes what one person looks like is not what makes them a wonderful person but their character helps show you who they really are. I hope the next story holds a great love story like this one.

This was an engaging and entertaining series opener. Alex, a survivor of the foster care system, carries a lot of pain from those years and her security, safety and feeling of belonging have always suffered. When her gal pals cancel a weekend camping weekend, she resolves to go it alone. Of course, it's not going to go smoothly for her but it brings her to Red, a Troll that knows she's important to him from first sight ;) What follows is a fast paced romance that finally gives her what she needs. It's also filled with a wide variety of supernatural peeps looking for a mate, drama, magic and steamy romance. So fun and I'm looking forward to the next book :D

First of all, I loved the book cover design. I did not have to create my imaginary MCs as it perfectly fits what the author describes our MCs to be.

The MC's love story is like a fairytale, which is probably why the title is Troll Charming. The FMC found her prince charming. It's like a dream come true: finding that elusive forever.

I noticed one thing, though: the author did not provide much background on our MMC. Still, it's a good read.

Friends have ditched her but she is determined to go on the hiking trip. She wants to see so much and gain experiences. But falling off a rock and no sense of direction is not the fun she had in store. Red is there to help her and treat her back to health. The witch was right about the green scarf. He is a TROLL not a ORC. let's not get this twisted. it is funny and steamy. Fairytaleish and conflicting at the same time. Good read.

It was a sweet short story, but a bit too short for me. It would benefit with a few more pages of serious talk between our main characters. The way Red explained to Alex that everything was alright felt very silly, he didn't really explain what the hell happened and I couldn't believe that she didn't press. She heard that they would make him kill her and she was totally fine to not know what happened in the town while she was in the woods?
I'll give a shot to the next book, the Township sounded very cute and picturesque, I want to read more about it.

Red and Alex absolutely meet every standard for fated mates. This short story lays the groundwork for the plot in the author's other series, Fablewood Monster Mates. I read those first and they reference the events of this story so read this one first.

This is a really cute fated mates romance that has quite a bit of spice to it as well. I love the instalove, instant attraction tropes, especially when they're presented in bite sized pieces like this story. I hope the authors continue this series and I can't wait to read it if they do!

This was a charming page turner that includes fated mate's trope with size difference. When Red sees Troth for the first time, he initially thinks that she is just a basic human but quickly realizes that she is so much more. The problem is humans are not allowed in Reds village, so he quickly has to concoct a plan to change the elder's mind. While I cannot reveal what happens next rest assured you will enjoy reading this book to find out for yourself :).

This is a sweet, spicy story with the best characters. Red is a troll living in an enchanted forest. He has visited a witch and is supposed to be the first of the group to meet his mate. Enter Alex—a human who makes it through the enchantment that shrouds the forest, and Red has to save her. I love the plot. Red and Alex are perfect for each other!

This was a strong start to the Mates of Monstertown series, it had that element that I was hoping for in a fantasy romance element. The characters worked overall and thought it worked with what I was hoping for. It left me wanting to read more more in this series and from the authors. I enjoyed the cover and left me wanting to read more.

I don't normally love insta-love books but I had a great time with it. I finished it in one sitting since it was short, and an easy read. I liked the characters and think that it was an interesting way for them to get together. I enjoyed the whole experience.

Alex is a sturdy gal, raised in foster homes, and planning a reunion with some of her friends, who bail on her week long wilderness trek. Alex figures she’ll just go alone but winds up lost in what turns out to be a land of myth and legend. She is hurt and rescued by a Red, a troll who has been told by the village witch that he will be the first of his in-mated friends to find his forever love. Getting to the HEA is a lot of fun! What a darling fantasy love story. I know exactly how our Alex feels. What a lovely idea to be able to live your life in a magical town full of all your fairytale favorites. None of the modern problems that we so often have to deal with on a daily basis. What a dream come true. I love a lot of the old fashion ways.

This is the first story in the "Mates of Monstertown" series. It is a short and quick read that is paranormal story about Xavier and Alex. It is a sweet story with a bit of steamy. Alex, found her Prince in the safety of Xavier. He is the first of his unmated friends to find his fated mate.
