This gives major Bourne vibes and I was here for it. A man wakes up without knowing who he is but he possesses a certain set of skills. The mystery and the story will keep you reading!

Peril lurks while I struggle to find my way out of the memory maze.

My sins and law chase me as I pace against time.

Every being in this universe seems to be weaving a web around me. I don't know who to trust anymore.

My past is in hazy shards, but there's no option but to put the pieces together. I must uncover the truth before it engulfs us all in its sinister embrace.

But truth comes with a hefty price tag — and I have been paying for that since the beginning.

I thought I was close to decoding everything and diffusing the situation until a revelation submerged me into another state of oblivion.

A chain of events I couldn't have foreseen.

Darn it!

It's an uncharted territory all over again.

Is there an end to all of this? There has to be something..

A Memory’s Web starts out strong as our MC wakes up with no recollection of who he is or where he is. It gave me video games vibes at first which was a lot of fun. As the story moves forward, I found myself just as confused as the protagonist, which I think works for the story because we don’t want to know more than he does. I enjoyed how often the scenes changed as it progressed the storyline nicely. Even though Jacob/Dwight/Adam doesn’t know who he is, he’s still determined to be a good guy, and he never seems to lose that! The ending was quite shocking, and overall, I think fans of action movies and suspense will enjoy this one!

A Memory's Web by Chris Witt, is a book filled with ten times more questions than answers as the reader goes along, and is a hundred percent adrenaline pumping action.

The story starts with the main character having absolutely no memory of who he is or where he is, and he spends the rest of the story trying to piece the fragments of his broken past together to figure out the answers to those specific questions. All he knows is, multiple people are searching for him and those who manage to locate him are trying to kill him. The concept of keep your friends close but your enemies closer runs rampant throughout the entire book, but if he doesn't know who he can trust, who does he need to keep a closer watch on?

Mr. Witt does a great job keeping the readers on the edge of their seats and making the readers want to read non-stop as soon as they turn the first page right on up to the last word. If readers are looking for a book that keeps them wondering about all the W's (who, what, when, where, and why) A Memory's Web is just the book to read.

Written in the first person I got the vibe of a cross between modern day neo-noir Marlow and Jason Bourne. The Bourne element is more so based on the scenario where the main protagonist has lost his memory and his identity and the book starts with piecing those parts together.

This is a fast paced action thriller that has a gripping plot line with brilliant character depiction of the main protagonist. The book is well written and takes you inside the head of the lead character who is trying to work out who he is, and how he is involved in the criminal gangland and the interwoven corruption.

An excellent book for anyone who enjoys crime fiction. There are loads of twists along the way as this novella unwinds. My only disappointment was it was too short as I was enjoying it so much, but that makes this the perfect read for a quick action packed book and probably a great introduction into this author’s work.

100% recommended and is an author I will be checking out some of his other books.

A man awakes without knowing his name or history but with certain ...skills. It bears a certain resemblance to the Jason Bourne series but with less motivation for revenge or isolation. His drive is to do the right thing, but “right” is hard to define. He finds clues about his prior life and current goals when he starts to search the apartment where he awakes. He gets clues by talking to people who seem to find him mysteriously, but he’s never sure who to trust. With three different possible identifications, I never feel fully convinced of his original identification. He always seems to be discovering himself, too, as he faces moral issues about which people are on his side and what life is worth preserving.

What a great story of mystery, action, and even a form of heroism. Enjoy the adventure!

To just have things happening doesn't make for a very satisfying read. Motivations are essential. Unfortunately, this story lacked motivations. There were a lot of things that went unanswered.
