Scoops #3

The Offer

Rate this book
For the past nine years, everything in Jessica Valerie’s life has been about being with her high school sweetheart.

Jess has worked at Scoops By The Sea longer than any of her other coworkers, designing ice cream cakes and barely scraping together enough tip money to pay rent and her never-ending pile of bills. Picking up a second job managing Post Road Market’s bakery seemed like a decent solution—until her boss decided he’s closing the bakery and wants her stocking shelves instead.

After burning bridges with her family long ago, Jess feels stuck in a life that never seems to get any better. So when local bike shop owner Kevin Perkins comes to her with a promising offer, it seems a little too good to be true. The catch? Leave Charlie for good.

THE OFFER is a new adult romance featuring a girl’s journey of finding herself after years of sacrificing everything for the sake of “true love,” and a golden boy who secretly can’t get enough of her.

It is the third and final book of the Scoops Series, a trilogy of stand-alone romances featuring characters of Scoops By The Sea, an ice cream shop in the fictional town of Haverport, Connecticut.

I can’t believe the day is finally here. 🥹

You’re going to love Jess & Kevin’s story. It teaches us that even though the world tells us we need to be hard, that there’s strength in being soft. That being brave doesn’t mean being tough, but actually can mean being vulnerable. 💛

📖 THE OFFER by K.Sinko is officially available via paperback and Kindle Unlimited! Enjoy one last trip to Haverport, scoopers.

Now I will lay in bed and cry because I can’t believe the Scoops Series is officially finished. Wow. What a ride. 🍦✨

Love all of you dearly.

Thank you so much K. Sinko for the ARC opportunity!

The Offer is the last installment in the Scoops series and is a heartwarming small town romance that effortlessly combines humor, tenderness, and the charm of a close-knit community. From the first page, I was drawn into the delightful dynamic between the characters, especially the sunny and swoonworthy Kevin and the grumpy but endearing Jess.

Kevin is the epitome of an ideal book boyfriend. His optimism, patience, and unwavering kindness toward Jess make every interaction between them a joy to read. Jess, with her gruff exterior and hidden vulnerabilities, contrasts beautifully with Kevin’s sunny personality.

The slow burn romance between Kevin and Jess is perfectly paced, with Kevin falling first and hard for Jess, building anticipation and engagement in their journey. Every shared moment, touch, and glance is filled with meaning. Their banter also brought many smiles and laughs, making the reading experience even more engaging.

The small town setting and the Scoops family add an extra layer of warmth and familiarity to the story. The found family trope is masterfully executed and the bond that the Scoops family has feels so genuine and heartwarming.

The ending left me in tears of joy. Both Kevin and Jess deserved their happily ever after, and K. Sinko delivered it in the most beautiful way possible. The conclusion of the series was bittersweet, as I found myself not ready to say goodbye to the Scoops family. Their stories have left a lasting impact, and I know I’ll be revisiting this series time and time again.

The Offer is a masterclass in romance storytelling, with its blend of charming characters, heartfelt relationships, and witty dialogue. If you’re looking for a book that will make you laugh, cry, and fall in love, this is the one. K. Sinko has crafted a perfect finale to a series that will be dearly missed.

Thank you to the author for an ARC!

MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE.

BLOG || INSTAGRAM

Oh my gosh, this is easily my favorite book of the series (and I loved them all so this is really saying something). I have been chomping at the bit to get Jess’s story and it delivered IN ALL THE WAYS. And I really loved the new adult direction of this one too.

I am obsessed with Kevin. He is *THE* golden retriever. I could not get enough of his energy and goodness. It beautifully contrasted with Jess. The grump and sunshine was executed to perfection. There dynamic and chemistry, off the charts. I loved the slow burn tension. Waiting for the moment they finally came together.

And I adore this whole town. I love the intensely loyal friendships and getting to see Scoops one last time. I loved the themes, of knowing that love is out there, not settling, and reconnecting with family members. This is easily one of the best romances I have read this year.

Overall audience notes:
- NA Contemporary Romance
- Language: low – moderate
- Romance: fade to black

The Offer

By K. Sinko

51.5 🌶️

Tropes:
Found Family • He falls first

Main Characters:
Jess & Kevin

Stand out lines/quotes:
"My dear Jessica, do you even know me?"

K - "Hi,"
J - "Hi back. Want a muffin?"
K - "Me and the muffins are currently not on speaking terms."

Kevin grinned, and she relaxed. Yeah, that was her grin.

My Thoughts:
KEEP A TISSUE BOX CLOSE BY!
No, but seriously, I was sobbing so many times throughout this book it’s ridiculous. 😂
throughout this book it’s ridiculous.
Jess and Kevin’s story was so beautifully told, it was sad, it was romantic, it was funny, it was just so, so good.
Jess made me want to strangle her a little, but I got over it and Kevin is what every girl dreams about in a man.
I totally and completely love this book!

WHY DOES THE SCOOPS SERIES HAVE TO BE OVER 😭😭😭

I've been so emotional ever since I finished The Offer. I feel like I've lost my best friends and that my summer has ended as well. I just wish this series could continue forever and ever and ever. UGH.

When I got glimpses of Jess and Kevin in the other books, I wasn't connected to them and honestly didn't think that I would want to read about them but I knew I was hooked as soon as I started The Offer. K. Sinko absolutely KILLED it with the switch to new adult romance!!

With pretty much every book I read, I usually end up saying so and so is my new book boyfriend. I love collecting them. And this book is no different. Kevin is just the most amazing book boyfriend and should be protected at all costs!! He is so funny and so kind and he doesn't judge others. He's caring and takes initiative and knows how to have fun even when life is being a pain. He is the EPITOME OF SUNSHINE. Screw Jess' awful ex Charlie who is now officially at the top of my most hated characters list 😂

Jess is SO COOL. I want to be her best friend so bad. She grew soooo much and reading her journey warmed my heart SO MUCH. I almost cried multiple times especially in the couple of scenes with Grampy. Ugh, my heart!!

I've said it before when I read the first two books but this series is my comfort series now and I am just so proud to have these on my shelves. I will definitely be visiting these characters again whenever I feel like I need a bit of support. And I will forever be reading everything K. Sinko writes!

Thank you to the author for the arc in exchange for an honest review!

(4.5) I love being on K. Sinko’s ARC team!! This story was so great! I enjoyed reading her other books, but felt they were a little young for me. This one is definitely for a bit of an older audience and I found myself to relating more (especially Jess’s desire to make everything perfect). I loved watching her and Kev’s relationship grow. The trip to NY, the puppy chasing, and the ending of course ◡̈ all very enjoyable!

K Sinko has done it again!!! Another amazing book for all fans of the scoops series to read! I also love that you don’t necessarily have to read the first two books to understand this book! K Sinko has so much creativity when it comes to being an author! She also has amazing covers for all her books! Give this one a read!!

A bittersweet ending to a beautiful series 😭

Kevin was EVERYTHING you could ever want in a golden retriever MMC. Everything. I loved the contrast with him and Jess, and his undying patience for her. I loved seeing Jess heal and learn what it means to be worthy of love. And I loved seeing the Scoops family
from a slightly different POV, Jess being older and all!

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of the final book in the series. While I am sad to see the series it really did end on such a good note. It was just enough to get a glimpse of the future without leaving you wondering. This series is the perfect summer read that lets you escape your own reality for a short time. It’s hard not to fall in love with the characters and their lives. I can’t wait for more from this author!

“He taught her what it meant to be brave, to go for the things you wanted even if it seemed scary, even if there was a good chance everything would fail.”

Thanks to the author for sending me an Advanced Reader’s Copy in exchange for a review.

I LOVED this book! As the 3rd and final in the interconnected standalone Scoops series, it brings everyone together again, while telling Jess and Kevin’s story. All three books have been 5 stars. It's bittersweet to say goodbye to these characters - I love them so much! The epilogue alone made my heart full. We find out where all key characters end up. Jess and Kevin's ending, seeing Melanie and Calvin so happy, as well as Rory and Tyler, and Jay… it was all so sweet!

I loved reading about the bakery and seeing a bit of the Scoops shop again. This series makes me hungry, especially since I'm a lover of sweets! I now really want a kanelbullar (big Swedish cinnamon buns), an ice cream cone, and jam-filled pastries. I'm SO happy to see a real recipe at the end for Haverport's legendary blueberry coffee cake! I have to make this sometime!

The cozy town of Haverport is so fun to visit through these pages. As a beach lover, I always enjoy reading about beach settings, and it feels like a real beach town. I wish I could be friends with this friend group, work at Scoops with them, eat lots of ice cream and baked goods with them, go to Haverfest, and at least watch everyone else taste the gross ice cream cake they make for festival tradition.

The Offer made me laugh a lot and feel emotional, for Jess specifically. She deals with a dysfunctional family situation, and has to break out of a long-term unhealthy relationship, and then trust Kevin with her heart. Kevin has had a crush on Jess since high school, and they're now in their 20s, and trying to figure out life together. Their business plans and money situations are tight, and an offer comes about. The way he helps her become braver, while she brings him comfort, is so wholesome! They have a bucket list, he loves her baking, he encourages her, they make each other laugh.

Some quotes inspired me. I also cracked up so much over the banter between the Scoops crew. I adore this friend group!

While this book is new adult, compared to the 1st two being YA, the steamy parts are hinted at and glossed over. It's clean in that regard, having a few tasteful innuendos or sexy jokes, but not being too explicit at all.

This was a wonderful end to one of my newer favorite series! The 1st and 3rd are likely my favorites. I'm sad it's over, but glad I stumbled upon the 1st book, and now have the whole series to think of fondly. If you want a series of interconnected standalones, with found family, banter, a small Connecticut beach town, an ice cream shop, themes of growing up, finding your place, love, complicated family dynamics, and enduring friendships, please check out K. Sinko’s Scoops series and support an indie author!

The Offer is out July 25th!

“Either live in fear and never try, or choose to be brave and live in your truth. Putting ourselves out there can feel scary because there’s always the chance of failure. But what would be worse? Living without knowing what could have been, or living knowing you gave it your all?”

She has done it again! I am sad that the Scoops stories have come to an end, but what a way to wrap it all up! Especially with such a great story of romance, being brave, and finding yourself.

Throughout the series, I was really intrigued by Jess’s character and wanted to know more about her life. It breaks my heart to know how trapped she was and making sacrifices for others that weren’t doing the same for her. She was stuck resenting the ones that truly loved and cared for her because of mistakes made five years ago. I loved reading her coming out of the lonesome fortress she built around herself and finally let people in. She deserves all the happiness in the world. My girl just wants to play with her dog, listen to pop punk, make pastries, be with her friends, and love and be loved. And to be honest, me too. Such a simple and free life.

Now, I could go on and on and on and on about how much I love(d) Kevin. He is perfect (despite a couple flaws and one mistake). Golden retriever, sweet, in touch with his feelings, funny, dropping everything for one girl. He is so adventurous and spontaneous. He made me giggle and kick my feet. Gosh, Jess got herself a good one. His displays of affection for Jess are top tier. Aaacckkk i could cry. I love them.

Throughout their story, I loved seeing how patient Kevin was as Jess navigated her life away from her past, broken relationship. Jess grows so much and finally allows herself to be happy. She opens herself up, going after the things she wants instead of letting her dreams float away. OH AND can I please mention that these two are the cutest and best dog parents. My heart was melting.

Although I feel bittersweet that this series has ended, I am so happy we got an ending for all the Scoopers, especially HAPPY endings. And I am so excited for K. Sinko’s next book, Sunday Supper!

It has taken me a minute to write this review because I wanted to really process the end of the Scoops series. I have been so excited for this book since finishing book 2 in this series and truly don’t think it could’ve ended better. And when I say so excited, I mean I really contemplated calling into work Friday but instead I just stayed up all night.

As with the other books in this series, the main characters are really coming into the next phase in their lives. Particularly Jess who has been in a relationship for 9 years where she sacrificed everything her boyfriend asked her to for the sake of their relationship when he couldn’t be bothered to support her in any way - emotionally, financially, sincerely, etc. But because Jess was 16 when she fell in love with Charlie, she believed this is the kind of sacrifice that love required. However, when everything in her life starts falling apart even more and Charlie shows no signs of being a partner, Jess gets the offer of a lifetime: financial independence and freedom in exchange for leaving Charlie.

This story gives the beautiful and difficult journey Jess has to go on to unlearn all the lies she told herself to maintain her “love” with Charlie and let go of all the fears her last 9 years gave her. Jess has to learn to tell the difference between independence and isolation - and maybe learn that allowing those who truly love her to support her wouldn’t be such a bad thing.

This deals with understanding adult love versus childhood love, facing the decisions you made as a child as an adult, understanding anxiety and fear, found family, understanding relationships - romantic and otherwise, and just learning to love who you truly are, when you meet her again.

I absolutely loved this book and this entire series. I’m so grateful for K. Sinko to have chosen me for these ARCs and writing these beautiful stories that found their places in my life just as I needed reminders of lessons in them. I could not recommend this book, and truly this entire series, enough.

*Thank you to the author for sending me an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts are my own :)*

What a good book! I really enjoyed reading this one.
It is the second I’ve read in the series, and definitely my favorite. We see Jess in the other books, so getting to see her full story in this one was really cool. This book follows the story of Jess, who is a headstrong FMC that has been through a lot. While it’s made her into the strong, caring, individual she is, it’s also caused her to put up many walls and not let people in. She definitely has some trauma. Her growth throughout the story was beautiful! I enjoyed her character evolvement and thought it was so well written.

We aren’t talking about Charlie. Respectfully, he doesn’t deserve space in this review hahaha 🫶🏻

Then we have Kevin. Kevin is such a green flag, golden retriever, book boyfriend. What a guy. It’s evident he truly cares about those he loves and is always looking out for them. He definitely added so much to this story. His personality and humor were my favorite! This was a reverse grumpy sunshine book, and a super well written one at that. The balance he brought to Jess’s character was perfect. I really loved it!
The “he fell first” trope was executed beautifully, and I loved the way it was written as a friends to lovers. It played well into the overall arc of the story and fit the characters.

This book was more than just a romance. It told a beautiful story about growth, moving on, and forgiveness. I truly enjoyed reading Kevin and Jess’s story, and I believe you will too!

*A small note, the romance centered scenes were slightly more mature, as these characters are in their mid-twenties (this is a new adult book). While nothing explicit is shown, almost everything leading up to intimacy is discussed in detail.*

**Thank you K. Sinko for the ARC copy!**

I fell in love with the Scoops Series since reading Safe Harbor last July and this was the perfect conclusion to the series!

Let's talk first about Jess... I adored her character! She seems prickly at first but once you get to know her story, you see that she's a young woman who is learning how to be an adult. She's essentially any person in their 20s. While the romance was adorable, my favorite aspect of this novel was Jess's character development, especially as it related to her going after her dreams. Dreams change and what we want out of life changes as we mature, and to watch Jess go through that made me feel less alone!

Now, let's get into Kevin and the romance! Screaming, kicking my feet, giggling, blushing - all the feels. Kevin cares so much for Jess and will do anything to make her happy. The summer bucket list (ITEM 11!!!), the comforting touches, helping her with anxiety, ah he makes my heart squeeze. I thought Calvin was the best book boyfriend but Kevin might take that top spot (fine, they can be tied :) ).

Also, I thought the complex family dynamic was handled with so much grace. K. Sinko really nailed how it feels to navigate through those emotions and the fact that it's often not one emotion but rather anger, grief, sadness, and more that impact a family relationship like that.

Finally, I loved how this book gave us little glimpses into other characters from past Scoops books to really tie the series together. It continued building on the found family and friendship vibes of the past two books, which made me fall in love with this series in the first place.

I cannot say enough good things about the Scoops Series and The Offer is my favorite of the series!

Oh my gosh! This was the perfect book to wrap up the Scoops series! I’m sad that the series has come to an end, but I am sooo glad Jess got her story! This book had me giggling and cheesing so hard at the cute and playful banter and quirky comments that were made by the main characters. ❤️

This book focuses on black cat Jessica and golden retriever Kevin! They met in high school, and Kevin has been crushing on Jess ever since!

Jess had been in a nine year long relationship with her high school sweetheart, at the expense of her relationship with her family… they didn’t approve of their relationship and they cut ties with her. After finally coming to terms with the reality of her life, she finds herself newly single and figuring out how to love herself and her life again.

Kevin is a happy, go with the flow, live your best life hippie boy who owns Port Wheels- a bike shop. He proposes an offer to Jess that she can’t pass up… come live out your dream of opening up a bakery in my bike shop and get paid a full time salary more than you are currently making now, but you have to leave your boyfriend.

This book is a new adult romance that focuses on the topics of learning to love yourself again, a focus on anxiety and mental health/healing, learning to be independent, overcoming hardships and trials, love, and forgiveness.

The Offer is book 3 in the Scoops series by K. Sinko, so I do highly recommend reading books 1 and 2 first. However, this is an interconnected stand alone, so you don’t technically have to read them in order.

ARC Review
Synopsis: Jess is a hardworking, but exhausted girl trying to make ends meet every month by working two jobs and fronting the bill to her boyfriend Charlie’s life. She is struggling to come up with money until one day her friend Kevin makes her an offer: Open up a bakery in my bike shop to help save my business and use your baking talents to help with finances. Can this unlikely duo of golden boy who’s always smiling, girl who is often anxious and grumpy come together to help each other?
My thoughts: I really enjoyed this book because it was more than just a feel good romance book. It portrays Jess’s struggles with anxiety and financial struggles. This made it very relatable for people with anxiety and walked us through her overcoming this in hopes of achieving her dreams of running a bakery. Throughout the entire book, she is also dealing with family issues, which make her feel all alone. This is where Kevin comes in with his offer as hope to escape harder times. (he’s the best I loved his character 🥹) The setting is one of my favorite parts because it’s at the beach, and makes you feel like you are living in a coastal town. This book had me teary-eyed quite often, but in a good way. I am honestly sad it’s over, but it was an amazing read. Every girl deserves a Kevin in their life! This book is the third and last book in the Scoops series. You can read it after the other two ones or as a standalone. Check this book out when it comes out July 25th! 💛

ARC BOOK REVIEW 📖: THE OFFER by K. Sinko

Rating: 5⭐️/5
Format: ebook

Thank you K. Sinko for allowing me the opportunity to read another one of your ARCs. After previously reading Always Choosing You, I was SO happy to revisit Haverpoint. This is the third book of the Scoops series.

Synopsis: Jessica (Jess) Valerie is presented with the offer of a lifetime when local bike shop owner, Kevin Perkins, asks her to open the bakery section of his bike shop. However, the offer requires her to leave her boyfriend of nine years, the one whom caused her to burn bridges with her family. Will Jess finally do what she should have done long ago and leave her boyfriend, or give up this promising opportunity?

Thoughts: This book has my heart 🥰 I was so happy to receive this ARC because it meant going back to Haverpoint with the Scoopers (I previously received the ARC for book 2). I love this group of fictional characters so much they almost feel real! Kevin is the ultimate golden retriever mmc and Jess compliments him so well. I didn’t want to put this book down! The amount of gasps, tears, and goosebumps I got from reading this was unlike any other experience. I wasn’t sure if I was going to enjoy Jess’ story as much as I liked Rory’s from book 2, but it truly surpassed my expectations! It’s bittersweet to say goodbye to these characters, but I’ll definitely revisit.

Read if you love:

cette série me ramène à mon adolescence.
maintenant, je veux goûter au kanelbullar de jess, it’s not a want, it’s a need.

The final and third installment of the Scoop series delivers sweet summer vibes and small town charm.

Jessie is a long-term relationship that has her doubting her love for herself and her boyfriend Charlie. Willing to try to make it work she sacrifices what is most important to her, leaving her feeling empty and searching for her happily ever after.

Kevin owns the local bike shop that is struggling to stay afloat. He and his best friend come up with a business plan that may save the shop. However, the person who they have in mind to run it is reluctant to do so once she hears their proposal.

Torn between following her dreams, Jessi makes a decision for herself and deals with the consequences of that choice. Unwilling to sacrifice her heart once more, her friendship with Kevin leaves her wondering what could be.

The story is a perfect summer read. Kevin gives golden retriever vibes to Jessica's grumpy cat persona. You can't help but fall in love with him a little too as you root for them both.

The epilogue had me swooning, as it was the perfect ending to this perfect series.

4.5 🌟 First, thank you so much to K. Sinko for the advanced copy of this book for my honest review. It was a pleasure and a ton of fun to read another one of your books!

The Offer is the final book in the Scoops series that follows a group of friends who found each other while working their summer jobs at the local ice cream shop. It follows Jess, one of the older ones of the group who, when we last saw her in book 2, was navigating working multiple jobs and juggling a lack luster relationship.

Admittedly, I wasn't sure what I was going to think of Jess's story because she definitely seemed less friendly or likable than the other friends, but I was so pleasantly surprised! This book had me smiling and giggling and I honestly looked forward to picking it up every single chance I got. I loved Jess's more complex character and her soft interior hidden beneath that tough exterior. And as for Kevin...if I could put him in my pocket and protect him forever, I would....that sounded weird...but, honestly, I stand by it :) This was my favorite book of the Scoops series and I really enjoyed how the people who showed up for Jess extended beyond their friend group, but to the community as well.

This was a marvelously written book and I highly recommend it. K. Sinko is one to watch out for because this lady knows how to spin a great story.

review 🥐 the offer by @authorksinko

This book. I knew from early on I would adore this book & spoiler: I was right. It is amazing. 💛

We are back with the Scoops crew one last time (& the perfect ending to these fun books). Kevin, Calvin's happy go lucky friend, is running a bike business that isn't doing so well. His solution? Make an offer to the girl who can bake pastries like none other, Jess. The offer: leave her no-good boyfriend & she can run her own pastry shop.

This book was just everything I was hoping for Jessica + Kev. It was surly, sweet & sassy and I was here for every dang part of it. This one was just the most fun & had summer vibes for dayssss. If you're eagerly anticipating the conclusion of the Scoops series, you won't be disappointed. And if you just want to read a book that has black cat+golden retriever energy and so much more, pick this one up!! 🚲

Read this one if you like:
- a sweet guy whose love language is touch

The Offer, by @ksinko is the final installment in her Scoops series. A sweet, beach town, closed door romance trilogy.

In this last installment we return to Haverport, and follow Jess’s journey to happiness. Jess is a sullen, exhausted, introverted cake decorator at Scoops, the local ice cream parlor. She loves to bake, but has to work to pay the bills even when her second job at the local grocer closes down the bakery section where she found joy. Her friends see her struggle - especially her high school friend, Kevin. They want better for her. Everyone wants better for her, except Charlie. The very man who SHOULD want the best for her.

I found this particular story harder to read, at least until Chapter 6, due to my personal life experiences. I have lived part of Jess’s story. Having a partner who is NOT a partner can truly tear a person down. I pushed through though, and I’m so glad I did.

I truly enjoy K. Sinko’s work. Her stories are sweet, balance the light with heavier issues, and are always relatable. They are written well.

This is an easy read, and a great “palate cleanser” for those of us who regularly read darker material.

Thank you K. Sinko for an ARC of this book!

This is small town romance, full of summer vibes! Jessica Valerie is a hard working and fierce woman. Working two jobs (at an ice cream shop called Scoops & the market bakery), living under the same roof as her high school sweetheart (Charlie Sullivan IV) and trying to make ends meet. Life changes for her when the bakery at the Post Road market closes, and Kevin Perkins sweeps in to make a nice offer for her. To open a bakery at his bike shop, and leave Charlie.

If I’m being honest, I didn’t really like Jess at first. I wasn’t really a fan of her stubborn personality, but I definitely saw character development when she was with Kevin more. Kevin’s such a gentleman that definitely cared for Jess’ needs. He was there for her during her panic attacks, and wanted her to be happy. There are life lessons in this book that readers can learn from, and I am so glad I read Jess’ story!

I am sad this is the last book in the Scoops Series, but the pleased about how the book ended.

Thank you K.Sinko for an ARC in exchange for an honest review!

"You deserve to be pampered and loved. I want to show you off because you sparkle even brighter than this ring, brighter than the ocean beside us, brighter than the sun above that beautiful head of blond hair."

I have been waiting months to read this ARC and man, I am not disappointed. This might just be my favorite out of all the scoops series. I felt so proud of jess for conquering her fears and being brave. And I felt so greatful for Kevin for being the one to help Jess be brave. i am so glad that they eventually *spoiler alert* got their happy ending. Throughout this series I have loved how every character was incorporated into the next book and how the scenes matched up. I absolutely love the scoops family and reading about their adventures in Havenport Connecticut. I am sad to know that their adventures are over, but i am so excited to see what K.Sinko comes out with next!

This is book 3 in the Scoops Series and boy was it a phenomenal book and it is the last in the series. I loved Jess and Kevin's story. The first two books are more young adult and this one is more a contemporary romance due to the fact that both main characters are not in high school.

I think the entire summer bucket list was my favorite part of this book. To do this with anyone would be such a fun idea especially when your friends. Jess and Kevin form a friendship by working together and building a business together. He has a bike shop, and she puts in a bakery within his shop to bring in more business. This helps get her out of a dead-end relationship and a dead-end job she hates.

This was such a beautiful story with characters that you fall in love with. Plus...a cute puppy you can't help but want to hold. K. Sinko, you did us a favor with this beautiful book. You gave us the Scoops in a beautiful ending.
