Wonderful story and I enjoyed it way more than I expected to. It is sweet and spicy and wholesome.

I have read a few polyamory books and this one is well done. I think the real life scenes were just as heartwarming as the intimate moments. There is a good balance between plot and spice.

I love how the family accepts Drew as a whole and there is little to no conflict.

It took me a few days to figure out what to write for this review, Ive already read the book three times, as it has become a fast favourite after receiving an early copy to read.

The story follows a married couple who decide to explore the world of polyamory with their best friend. And I have to say, Morgan wrote the story beautifully.

So many books about ethical non monogamy are trashy, or focus solely on the drama or sexual aspect of the relationship, why it will fail, and this book is absolutely nothing of the sort.

It approaches even the sensitive topics that arise in a triad with respect and authenticity, showing the reality of living with a partner(s) who works too much, blending a non traditional family, and parenting through all of it. Even still, while tackling these subjects in such a real way that it had me feeling like I was reading from my own journal at times, she managed to add a delectable amount of spice.

The restaurant scene, showing them deal with social stigma, and be proud of who they are had me giggling and kicking my feet, while the suspense of the arsonist and ongoing fires in the background adds just a bit of intrigue.

This book is amazing and a must read, especially for those who love a why choose romance.

This was a refreshing read that centered around family and adult responsibilities more than other triads I've read. This book was very realistic (which can be a bit dull at times like life can be), but it was nice to read something like this for once. I thought it was paced a little quick and would have liked to read more internal dialog from the characters. But for a quick read, it was pretty good. I'm interested to see where the side characters' stories go from here!

You know that saying “show don’t tell”. This is all tell. Tell everything. Every single movement of every single character even the people you’ve never heard of. Almost like reading a statement of events for a police report from someone with a photographic memory who really wants you to know every. Single. Detail
It feels almost robotic sometimes the way the characters talk to each other.

This author kept my attention and I loved this book.
I was a little hesitant about reading this book when I realized that it was about polyamory. Only because of my personal opinion. I couldn't do it personally. I loved that Morgan brought up the sensitive topics that would arise in a relationship like polyamory. It was not about the drama or the sex. It was about an honest relationship. I loved it, and I now have a better understanding of how polyamory relationship works. And I definitely can now see how that lifestyle works for some people.
This was a very good book. Worth reading for sure

Amazing!! The real-ness of the response to the triad situation was perfect. So many books make the partner automatically on board, which is fine, but I really appreciate a book touching on different reactions to the topic. The characters are well written and feel very wholesome. The flow of the story is very well done. I can't wait to read more of Morgan's books!!

I loved this book. I devoured it in one sitting.

Usually I’m not into poly dynamics, but this book was hot as hell.

I’m excited to keep reading the series.

Morgan did an incredible job with Sparks of Desire. I was immediately dropped into the life of Emerson and Owen. Their day to life of navigating between staying present with their family and friends all while working demanding jobs. Drew has experienced an unimaginable tragedy. When he relocates to a new town leaving his past behind, he forms a friendship with his mouth watering coworker Owen. Weary at the relationship growing between his best friend and wife, Owen soon learns he brings much more to their friendship. Sparks ignite much more than wild fires in this novel of three people finding their way to back love, friendship and desire.

This is the second book I’ve read where a married couple decides to welcome a third person into their relationship. And this one was much better than that!

Emerson and Owen already have a marriage and 3 kids. Drew is Owen’s best friend. So the way that the story flows into their new relationship is quite easy. Drew already felt like a second dad to the two younger kids so that made for a seamless transition for them. Emerson, Owen, and Drew are all very good at communication which not many couples in real life are lol so the entire relationship just worked well.

The other plots involved with the fires and other characters were also interesting.

I was picked to be an ARC reader for this book by Morgan so I have to give an honest opinion. I was glad to see it's not a traditional romance. It covers LGBTQ+ relationships and unconventional relationships and navigating this which I really do like about this book and would recommend this if you want to explore a different kind of romance. You can also see she has a lot of knowledge of the challenges and dangers firefighters experience in their day-to-day work which you can easily see as you turn each page.
However I had to give 2 stars as I did find the book very repetitive, the writing style wasn't for me as it wasn't that descriptive and it made it hard for me to imagine the story and the characters. I also didn't feel the characters were relatable to me which made it a little hard for me to get into fully.
It's great to see Morgan tackle a storyline that's not the norm for a romance and something that should be celebrated.

The book was really engaging all the way through! I really enjoyed how realistic it was, not just focusing on the romance but that they’re real people with jobs and a family. It felt like the transitions between family and work as well as intimacy were done pretty seamlessly. I loved seeing Drew, Emerson, and Owen develop as individual characters and also see their relationship evolve throughout the book. There were sweet parts as well as spicy, and they were well mixed. I think it was a bit fast paced at times, but I don’t think it really took anything away from the bigger picture for me. Overall a great read and I finished it very quickly!

A story of connection and love without any boundaries!

Sparks and Desire had me hooked from the opening chapter as it left me wanting something for the character of Drew (MMC).

We are introduced to Emerson (FMC) as Owen (MMC) afterwards. These two are a married couple who seemingly have everything they could ever need. Family, jobs and children.

Due to the nature of Owen and Drew's work, it often adds more stress and pressure on Emerson. Though she never complains as she loves her husband but at times there seems to be a hint of something missing. Drew being a close family friend would often help out when Owen could not be there and that starts to build some feelings on Drew's side.

As the story went on, I found myself drawn to the need for happiness for Drew and I wanted him to get everything he wanted. To avoid spoilers however, the story progresses in a way that is both respectful and explorative on all parties allowing a happiness they did not know they were missing.

To finish this review, the cuteness of some of the family scenes helped heal parts of my own heart and soul that I didn't know needed it.

Thank you, Morgan. For writing this story for me to find some hope for my own possible future!

Many Hands Make Light Work and Full Hearts

Emerson and Owen Callaghan are happy and content with their marriage and three children. Drew Makris is a broken-hearted widower and spends every minute he can at the firehouse pouring himself into his profession, but Drew can't help the pull he feels toward his best friend and his best friend's wife.

This is a story about a duo that's happy and doing just fine, but when they make the leap to become a trio, everything just clicks into place - for all of them.

I enjoyed reading this story. There was compassion, conflict, heartbreak, some worrisome moments, and finally and HEA. I appreciated the underlying mystery about who keeps setting the fires and I especially loved the reference/pronunciation guide at the beginning. However, I want to know what's going on with Lamont - will we get some of those answers in a forthcoming book?

I would recommend Sparks of Desire to anyone that likes firefighters, trios, a little mystery, some heart-tugging, and an HEA.

A slice of life, spicy firefighter romance.

I felt the dialog was a little stilted at times, and sometimes it felt like it wasn't how a real person would speak, but overall the characters do communicate well together and consent is strong in this book.

I also felt there were a lot of repeated words in the same sentence often and that distracted me a lot from what was actually happening as I felt it didn't flow as well as it should. The POV switches almost always repeated what had just happened in the previous POV which was a little jarring and repetitive.

The actual plot has good ideas and intentions and the characters were very loveable, the spicy scenes tasteful and communication was always at the forefront, as the characters developed their relationships.

A really great book. I have read it several times now and each time it just gets better. It follows a married couple Owen and Emerson and their friend Drew, and how they all eventually act on their secret feelings for one another. You get to see new relationships form and old ones get even stronger. The family dynamic between them all was amazing to read too how the children were all so supportive of drew joining their already formed family. This is quite possibly the best mmf romance I have read. It has also left me wondering what will happen with Lauren and Lamont!

Plot- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I enjoyed this book.
It was a sweet palate cleanser from what I usually read. (Which is fantasy/dark fantasy romance). I got into the book easily and I got attached to the characters quickly and enjoyed the interaction between our main characters.
The thing I would have wished for is a little more... drama. It is all nice and sweet with a little angst, but for me who is used to slow-paced series, like to see some more bumps in the road and in depth dialogue. There are some, and what is here is fine. I am just greedy and wish for a little more. XD
But I believe with how the book ended there might be more books coming and I am sure there will be some trials and errors for our lovely characters. And I can't wait!

I really enjoyed this book. I loved Drew so much. My heart broke for him, and I was so happy to see him find his happy after suffering such a loss. My only complaint about this book was that I wanted more. I wanted more of their courting and more of their happy ever after. I love a good triad and this was a good triad.

I just loved this book. Emerson and Owen are a happily married couple with 3 kids. Drew lost his wife and son years ago. Moved to a new city. Befriended Owen at work. They are both firefighters and became best friends. Em and Owen have always treated Drew like family. They respect each other’s feelings and navigate into a relationship all together. It’s so sweet how it was not anything missing with Em and Owen but rather they all gained love within each other. It was heartwarming. Will definitely read more from this author.

I received an advanced copy, and this is my honest review.

This story was so sweet. Low angst, no third act break up. It was a slow burn build up of a couple looking at evolving their marriage to include a friend. Nicely written, with relatable characters. Some small drama moments but all quickly resolved. Quick story, and great pallet cleanser

I was HOOKED from the beginning! Literally finished it one sitting! It was sooo good! I haven’t read any firefighter books before so this was a great start and now I need more in my life 🥵 the spice was great! Detailed but not overly done and no weird place words like some authors do! I CANNOT wait to read more from you!

This is a sweet story where the buildup is phenomenal. Transitioning from friendship to love is not that easy to do and here it happens naturally. Emmerson is an amazing FMC and maybe even a bit too comprehensive, while Owen transitions from a bit possesive alphahole to give her the world or whatever is in his hand and Drew gets over his lost wife to embrace a relationship with his best friends

Who wouldn't be tempted by a story for hot firefighters in equally hot summer!?!
I liked the concept behind the story but it lacked the emotional depth and believability, I usually look for in the books I read. The problem is probably in me, because I need vivid descriptions and vibrancy and richness of the storytelling to be able to feel inside of a story, not only looking from the doorway.
If I have to summarise what I did like, it was the subtle, but very strong thread that was screaming at me " Dare to try" and the 3 characters didn't disappoint on this front. Emerson and Owen were in a traditional, happy marriage and their love, care and respect for each other were palpable on every page. But when Drew moved in, in the town where the couple lived in and started working in the same Firestation as Owen, a beautiful friendship bloomed. A friendship that grew beyond their expectations, tested by time and life challenges. A friendship that turned in so much more when feelings were involved, that the classic boundaries started to blur and morph into something new, a little bit terrifying and a lot more daring! The story gives a homey, cozy, intimate vibe. It has a variety of interesting elements like a wonderful bi-awakening for Owen and Drew, overcoming great loss and finding love again for Drew, falling in love with not 1 but 2 men which was a novelty for a devoted to her husband and very sweet Emerson; exploring the depths and unknowns of triad relationship and finding the balance in all of the new relationships for all of them.
The 3 characters dared to try something new, to put their hearts on the line in the process and were determined to find their happiness, despite the constraints of a small town, closed-minded thinking. Overall it was a good read, I just missed the feeling of what was written in the title - Sparks of desire.

Reading this book feels so homely. I can easily imagine these people exciting in real life. Which made it such an easy read. I felt such a strong connection to Emerson because of how motherly, caring and loving she is for everyone in her family. I love how this starts with an established relationship between Emerson and Owen. It’s very refreshing this way.

If I’m not mistaken this is the author’s first book and I enjoyed the way she writes. During the last 20%, I did start to have some trouble with the repetitive choice of words but that shouldn’t take away the joy I experienced while reading it.

As a reader who enjoys characters with deeper layers, I did miss certain aspects when the story started to evolve. For example: we know what a traumatic past Drew has had. I would’ve loved it if we got to see more of the effects those emotional scars have when he starts to fall in love again.

Reading this book in under 24 hours shows how much I enjoyed reading it and I hope to see more books from this author!

This book had me hooked from the beginning. I could't put this one down and I read it so fast. The characters were so relatable. I loved how this story followed a couple and their best friend and everyone trying to figure out who they were and what they wanted. This shows how much a happy and secure marriage changes with communication and everyone being happy and fulfilled. I also like in this book how the kids were also in a lot of this book and were referred to many times.
My heart broke for Drew in the beginning and was really hoping something amazing would happen for him. Emerson was so relatable and could see parts of myself in her. Her finding herself with the struggles of having a husband who is a firefighter and all that entails.
This book introduced a lot of characters for the series and I cannot wait to read the next in the series.

It's hard to write a non-spoiler review for this one as I was so invested! Normally, when I read polyamorous romance, we usually start at the beginning for all parties. But here, we have a loving husband and wife who are perfect for each other, but find there's that one thing missing. Enter Drew.

First off, Drew's backstory is HEARTBREAKING. From the blurb, you get an idea of what happened, but I was not expecting to read it first-hand. It really made his loneliness tangible, and I was rooting for his happiness throughout.

The way the author presents the characters' struggles with confronting the expected social norms when being in a non-traditional relationship was very well handled.

There was the right balance of romance and intrigue, and neither part overshadowed the other. The mixture of watching the relationship grow, while following the mystery of the arsonist, made for a delightful read.

On a side note, while I don't have kids myself, I am the eldest of many siblings, and some of the family scenes gave me (good) PTSD 😅

I received this as an ARC and this is my honest review.

Sparks of Desire is a sweet, steamy and heartfelt story about what happens after the HEA. Though we never have any doubts about the original couple’s feelings for each other, it’s a joy to watch them both slowly fall for their mutual best friend (and vice-versa). This is a lively woman-centred story that mixes the everyday realities of life, work and family with powerful moments of intimacy as the main characters navigate their new hopes and desires. The very authentic firefighter/EMT backdrop adds elements of excitement and tension to the domestic storyline. An amazing first novel from Morgan Beacham!

I loved this love story. The relationship development between Emerson, Owen and Drew was written in such a way that felt organic, genuine and wholesome. The love that both Owen and Drew showed Emerson was just the sweetest, and I love how they also fell in love with each other. You can't help but fall in love with the three of them. The way Emerson and Owen incorporated Drew into their family worked so well, and how he became another father for their kids was just the icing on the cake for me. The story had a great subplot, the spice was delicious, the pace was just right, and the romance was off the charts.
