Samantha Mark's life is not turning out the way she imagined. Thirty, single and hanging with the girls. When they suggest a fetish party, it seems the perfect way to break out of her sexual rut.
The moment she sees bad boy Jake, she knows she made the right choice. He's the kind of man she's always fantasized about. Sexy, rebellious and completely in control. Getting in the spirit of the party, Sam gives into temptation and indulges in her fantasies.
But when fantasy and reality collide, everything changes. Jake is no longer an anonymous lover in a public hallway. Refusing to just be a fantasy, Jake plans to make her realize just how much fun it can be to let go.
I am happily married to an amazing man. We have two children and the requisite 2 dogs.
After picking up my first romance book in my teens, I was hooked on the happily ever after. Sure it's often a bumpy road to get there, but then the best things in life are worth fighting for.
Interesting setup. Samantha goes to a fetish party -- it's very much not her scene and she's uncomfortable. She meets hot guy Jake, but he appears to be with someone (and she assume he IS into the scene), so she heads off on her own. She ends up watching three people having sex through a glass wall, and Jake follows her and they have sex in the hallway. She's so mortified by her behavior that she flees, thinking she'll never see him again. But that's not in the cards, and he ultimately wins her over. They definitely had chemistry... so much that they couldn't even eat dinner first, lol! Steamy sex, so that was nice. And it was a nice HFN ending.
Sam, a single career woman, is taken out on her 30th birthday by her friends to a fetish party being hosted by a big shot Hollywood producer. There, she meets and has an incredibly hot sexual encounter with a gorgeous guy named Jake. Can a relationship develop from this one encounter, or will this be a one-night stand Sam will look back on in embarrassment? This is the premise of Letting Go, a steamy short novella by Lauren Fraser which I enjoyed reading.
One downside of erotica is that quite often, the likability of characters is sacrificed in favour of titillation, but this wasn't the case here. Both Jake and Sam's characters are well developed and appealing, which allowed readers to invest in the romance between them, despite the short length of the story.

Sam goes to a fetish party with her friends on her 30th birthday. She has just one hot little encounter with a stranger. She has a pitch to a potential new client. Guess who?!? Jake had hoped for more with her at the fetish party, but she disappeared. There's just a bit of kink at the party. Jake has his work cut out for him, trying to convince Sam that he's serious about her. The book is short and steamy, just perfect to read one afternoon. LETTING GO is all about losing inhibitions and getting kinky between the sheets...err... or in the hall...in public...at a party...
This was a hot story that included a little kink that involved voyeurism, exhibitionism, and sex with strangers - possibly finding love along the way.
