The Bratva king took one look at my innocent, voluptuous curves. Now, he wants to knock me up. I tried to forget about my problems by going out and letting off some steam. That’s when my best friend’s Bratva dad takes my virginity. That’s when he decides he’ll force me into marriage and impregnate me with his baby.
He says he can take care of all my problems if I become his wife and give him an heir. I’m shocked and run away. But the Bratva don’t care whether you come willingly or not. He throws me over his shoulder and tosses me in the backseat of his car. He lays down his punishing rules. All of which mean that I have to obey him.
I try to get away from him, but he just laughs and thinks it’s cute. He lays me in his bed and thinks he owns my helpless body. He traps me in his house and plays my weak curves until I’m exhausted. Will he bruise my heart until it’s soft and pliant?
Or will his cruel Bratva hands break it forever?
The Fokin family is the most powerful Bratva family in California. These cruel monsters will use whatever means necessary to achieve their aim. And when you’re the woman they want, you will have no choice but to submit to their wishes.
I really liked Asher's writing style, and appreciated the fact that she doesn't always give you the perfect happy moments. The relationships between characters were realistic, and it had the perfect blend between the romantic storyline and backdrop of the Mafia world.
This is the first book in the series and it is awesome. Great plot and characters. The h is a beautiful, curvy woman who is best friends with the H’s daughter. He doesn’t recognize her and meets her at one of his clubs. They have a one night stand and he becomes obsessed with her, he proposes marriage, she has always had a crush on him. She tells him who she is but it doesn’t matter, they marry. There’s the attempted kidnapping, murder and betrayal that add to the drama. They faced their obstacles to get their HEA. Great epilogue.
This romance was well written. It hit on all the feelings needed to keep you ingrosed in the book til the end. I couldn't put it down. The only thing I didn't like was the killing of Sergai. I wish the author had only injured him. But to each their own, I guess.
I enjoy age gap and Bratva stories with hot men and steamy spice...and this was all that and more rolled into one. Loved the story and the characters. I even shed a tear when a character was lost. Highly recommend this book. I will be starting the next one when I finish with this review.
Hard life growing up in the Bratva. Not much easier being orphaned at 16 with14 year old sister and losing everything because your dad embezzled from his company and his clients. Can opposites fund love?
I did not need to read the novel to give it a rating and the rating is not even 1 it is in NEGATIVE 5
..SERIOUSLY ....BEST FRIEND'S DAD IS DOING IT WITH A GIRL WHO IS THE SAME AGE AS HIS DAUGHTER AND WANTS A KID FROM A KID how in a world is that romance... what are the people who are rating 4 or 5 star thinking this is not age gap this is perversion to the EXTREME Tell me something how would it feel to know that the husband dearest is having an affair with a young girl the same age of your daughter.. then would you tag it as romance. Regardless whether the guy is a widower or divorced .... this kind of relationship is MESSED UP AND JUST PLAIN PSYCHOTIC.
it could have been the older brother, cousin or even .... hmmm.. let's say her best friend's dad's best friend's SON THERE that would make more sense wouldn't it a man equal to the age of a DAD DOING IT TO A WOMAN WHO IS EQUAL TO THE AGE OF HIS DAUGHER. I JUST CAN'T GET MY HEAD AROUND IT. HE SHOULD BE SEND TO A MENTAL ASSYLEM honestly in my point of view these types of genres where the "daddies" are attacking "daughter age" girl/woman should be banned Or the very least should not be tagged romance but rather P*R*
I dislike this novel. Age-gap isn't one of the likes/loves reads. I can go up to 15/17 years age gap, but after that, It's yuck. It starts with good scenes, and I initially liked it.
It was when the main characters came together and had sex. It was like her father was doing it with her, and this was only due to his age and not looks, and the fact was he was her best friend's father on top of that.
Then I had an issue with the forced marriage...to me. It means the female has no choice but to go through it. In the book, she was told, but she still was able to fight against it until they made a deal that you will need to read it.
It wasn't forced, really, in my mind, due to the deal; it was more like an arranged marriage. Maybe it was a good thing about the sex scenes, and there weren't that many of them.
Overall, this book was a ⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars for me.
If you like large and daddy type age-gaps, this book is for you.
I’m not sure where all the 4/5 stars are coming from, the editing on this book is horrendous! So many misspelled words, incorrect grammar and syntax, and obvious cut and pastes from other stories. The plot was ok, though over the top a bit. The fact that one particular characters name is constantly switching spelling is a dead giveaway away!
It’s hard to appropriately give a detailed description of why it’s a 2 star read without giving spoilers, but it’s mainly due to the aforementioned errors.
Action ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Believable storyline & overall plot ⭐️⭐️ Entertainment 🌟🌟 Spicy 🌶️ 🌶️ Triggers 🚩🚩🚩 (graphic murder, kidnapping, violence towards FMC, etc) Writing style & written format ⭐️
Overall a solid 2/5
Note the lower the 🚩 the better, meaning not many triggers & defines it as a romantic read not dark romance.🥰
The age gap in this was so big it made me wonder if he had old man saggy butt syndrome. and even then it could be okay if he were super sexy and the chemistry was there but it wasn't anything special. So she's a loser chef who quit/failed/got fired, I really couldn't tell what was going on except the fact that 1. she can't find a chef job and 2. instead of telling her he'd fund her own restaurant, he's like I'll ask my buddy to give her a job. Is this dude a billionaire or a celebrity adjacent? There was no luxury or glamour. Just a grown-ass dad looking for a baby. Also - you already have a grown adult daughter. Why do you need a burping baby toddler again? Is he going to just get rid of her too once their kids is adult age and date another 21 yo?
A really good start to this new series it is exciting and full of interesting characters and content to keep you turning the pages, well written with a well thought out storyline that makes it interesting and entertaining.
It was a decent book. The storyline had some interesting aspects. For my taste, the whole marriage thing happened a little too fast and I would've liked to read a little bit more about the whole thing with the daugther. Nevertheless did I liked reading the book. It's 3/5⭐ for me
