Alana and Damion have known each other since they were little kids and grew up living next door to each other, they were best friends. Alana tried to keep things in the friendship zone because she knew being lovers would mess up their friendship...when they reconnected, they could not deny their serious chemistry. Damion always had feelings for Alana and had known they were going to end up together, Damion's dad West is a nasty piece of work, and has killed to get what he wants. West main objective is the keep Damion & Alana apart, he believes Alana is beneath Damion and never cared for their friendship. Damion keeps trying to protect Alana with disastrous results. It's heartbreaking because of their powerful connection they're meant to be together. However, West Damion's father is pure evil. He keeps poisoning every part of their lives.

Thats when Damion hires our trusty friends from Walker Security. It was a breath of fresh air to read about the Alpha men with Walker Security, Blake and my favorite Savage is back providing comic relief. Never thought I would see the Walker Security Alpha men again so loved they played such an awesome part of Damion & Alana's life. There are so many ways this story twists that you don't expect. Can't wait to finish last book in series. Fabulous read.

Author Lisa Renee Jones has a way of pulling the reader into a story and then BAM, the cliffhanger hits before you are ready.
Damion wants to keep Alana safe and telling her who he is might make her leave. So he has to tell her one piece at a time. When someone starts stalking Alana, Damion hires Adam (from Walker Security) to watch over her. While Damion and his father are against each other, Alana's parents are pulling her in different directions.
This is a roller coaster ride that I highly recommend that you get in, hold on, and keep your arms in because it is going to be a tummy-flipping ride that you will enjoy and leave you wanting more.
I have to say that this author is one of my favorites and an automatic go to even if I don't know what the story is about, I will read it.

Oh my... Things are getting heated and dangerously so, it seems lines have been drawn in the sand now.
It's time for War now.

This one straight off continues from where we left in book 1 as we see Damion's father has already begun to fire shots and ruin what Damion has carefully planned to woe a client over.

Damion is aware that it's not going to be easy dethroning his father and taking control of the company, but what he certainly didn't seem to have anticipated is the extent and boundaries that his father is ready to cross just to see his son fail.

We are finally getting the seriousness and commitments where Alana and Damion are concerned.
Even though things are still rocky and a bit uncertain because of the volatile circumstances regarding the business war that's going on, yet I was glad to see these two finally finding that common ground together.

I cherished the beautiful moments we get with Alana and Damion and especially seeing Damion tackle the green eyed monster where Alana is concerned was such a delight to witness.
I loved Damion's possessiveness and how he's outright about how much Alana means to him.

The plot thickens as Damion in a quest to uncover hidden skeletons to takeover and defeat his father, finds out the shocking things when he engages the extra hands to help him in this.
The risk factor is high now as well as the danger and Damion needs to cover all his tracks to ensure that he protects the one thing that matters the most to him.

That ending .... What the.... I'm running to read that finale and see how finally Damion will defeat his father who's been a whole tree of thorns in his side.
Also, what's the deal with Alana's mother, I really want to know, if there are any secrets there too.

That ending was oh so shocking and I can't wait to dive into the next one. ❤️

Scorned Queen by Lisa Renee Jones was a thrilling, suspenseful, and heartbreaking book I have read this year. This book is the third book in the Wall Street Empire: Strictly Business series and will end with Burned Dynasty. Scorned Queen is a dark contemporary second-chance romance touching on dark themes and topics. I was super excited to devour this book; there is suspense, drama, spice, and action. I read this book in one night. I thought the storyline was original and beautifully written with vivid detail. The characters are complex and have scorching-hot angst and chemistry. Be prepared for a rollercoaster of a ride with this book. I felt all the feelings while reading this book. I laughed and cried for both characters; they are going through so much throughout this book. Deception, secrets, lies, and angsty spice had me turning the pages until I got to the end. This book does leave off on a cliffhanger, I can't wait to see what happens next!!!

Alana is strong, determined, and loyal. I loved the growth throughout this book. Her backbone keeps getting stronger and more resilient. Damion is determined, possessive, a total Alpha, and a whole lot broody. I loved his dedication to making sure Alana was safe. The road that they are traveling has been paved with bumps and detours. Their chemistry is undeniable and scorched the pages. Their love story is tragic, heartbreaking, and heartwarming. This series is definitely exciting, spicy, and captivating. -By Brooke

Scorned Queen, part two includes also part one or the first thirteen chapters of Damion and Alana's story. And it's starts just where Protege King ended. On that cliffhanger where Damion's father played mind games with them. And let me tell you Scorned Queen is not for the weak at heart. For starters Damion is dead set on moving on his relationship with Alana . They had some much needed conversions on clearing the situation between them and convincing her that ring on her finger is for real. He even plans some strategy with Alana . There's so much happening not only in a day but for a couple of days there are new players and the stakes are sky high. The mind games continue on a higher level. But this time Alana has her input in reading the situation and coming to some conclusions. In all this she has to deal with some of her family drama. I was so disappointed at the role her mother played in all this added to the threats of Damion's father. All that's happening only makes them even stronger. But Damion is so protective of Alana that he almost disabled her . She needs to stand up and show that she's strong and can fight alongside by Damion. And that ends up in The Queen's gambit she played at the end of the second book. No need to tell you that this cliffhanger is killing me big time.

First of all this story is the second in book the Wall Street Empire series. If you haven't read Protege King, you really want to read that book first. There's so much good back story and steamy bits.
You really get invested in the story during the first book. Second important thing to know is that book three won't be out until October 2024 and book four January 2025. That's a long time to wait, especially when this book ends on a cliffhanger. But the story is worth the wait.

In this series Alana and Damion have known each other since they were little kids and grew up living next door to each other. Alana’s world is unravelling in more ways than one. She loves Damion. She loves her father and mother. She’s in a career she wouldn’t have chosen but she is learning to love that, too. Damion is still a typical do as I say because I know best alpha male. The pressure he feels as he works to destroy his father while balancing his growing relationship with Alana.

This is a tough story to review. You have to have read book 1 or this makes no sense. I thoroughly enjoyed it but I don’t understand the name. How is she a scorned queen? Anyway, the author does a good job showing how bad the bad guy really is. The revelations about Alana’s parents was really good. I even enjoyed the addition of the security guys from other Lisa Renee Jones books. Where I have trouble reviewing this is that I recommend not reading this unless you intend to read the entire series back-to-back. This reads like part 2 of a larger book rather than it’s own book.

This is a contemporary romance set in New York. Both main characters are adults with demanding careers and complicated families. There is murder, corporate intrigue, second chances and heartbreak. If you like silent alpha males and strong-willed women, give this series a try. I will definitely read more from this author in the future.

Received as an ARC and leaving my honest review voluntarily. This is book 2 in the series and because I read book 1 some time back, I just couldn't recall the story so it felt like I was going in blind with missing parts to the story. And since there is 1 more book to go, I would suggest waiting until all 3 books are out before reading, which is what I plan to do.

There was a lot of speculation and plotting in the story, both on Damion's part and his father's (or what he guesses would be his father's next move) but there wasn't much moving forward so it just felt like things became repetitive and it felt like a stalemate. The only action came about right before the cliffhanger, which I guess is deliberate so the reader would look forward to the last book, wanting to know what happens next. But it frustrated me on some level as it felt like I had spent x-hours on a book that didn't build much into the story except for the last 15-mins then it ends! Honestly, book 1 and 2 could probably be combined if you removed the fillers and repetitive what ifs. Well, I'm waiting for the last book so I can finally know what happens next and hoping it doesn't take too long to be out.

Incredible story continues

Wow! Wow! Wow!

SCORNED QUEEN, book #2 in the Wall Street: Strictly Business trilogy, was an incredible, suspenseful, emotional, and romantic journey. It continues from the conclusion of Protege King, and yes, you must have read that one first. Damion West And Alana Blue continue a battle of wills against Damion's father while trying to re-establish their own relationship.

After the events of book #1 the stakes have just become higher. Damion is doing everything he can to garner support against his father, who is playing a dirty, vicious, and deadly game. Lives are at risk, new players are brought in to help, yay Walker Security. Alana is growing strength, she is determined to help Damion in any way possible, but is she putting her own life at risk? Damion will do anything to protect her, but at what cost?

Of course LRJ concludes this one on a cliffhanger, and what a cliffhanger it is! My jaw was on the floor, sure didn't expect that one, such a huge mic drop! Now to wait patiently for the epic conclusion of this thrilling trilogy, Burned Dynasty.

So Scorned Queen pretty much continues where Protégé King left off and WOW... LRJ cannot do wrong in this series! It was filled with suspense, lies, deception, betrayal and most of all, Damion and Alana's love - to be or not to be?

Damion proposes a fake engagement with Alana in order to protect her from his mercenary father. West Senior has always disliked Alana for being the biggest distraction for Damion. With the ongoing battle to overthrow his father for his brutal business practices and protecting Alana, things start getting real. Alana's in danger, as well as her close ones. Will they be able to come out on top or are Alana and Damion just destined to never be?

I loved how we got to see more of Damion and Alana's relationship in this. The worries and insecurities are evident in both and I could really relate to them. The fact they have always known they have been each others 'person', but not knowing if love is enough to pull through... Gahhh my heart 🥹🥹

I CANNOT wait to see what LRJ has in store for us next in book 3, and I really hope Alana and Damion finally get their well deserved HEA ❤️.

Some people are so full of greed, evil and arrogance they really need bringing down in such a public and determined way they can never escape or recover, West senior is one of those. Damian and Alana deserve to be happy and love their lives together, their love has lasted their whole lifetime despite obstacles and others interference. It's rocky, intense, steamy and so full of love, but that isn't always enough. Honestly! I want to put an end to the evil myself after reading this, I'm emotionally wrung out, it's gone from smiles to anger to sadness and a whole lot inbetween. Corruption, lies, threats are just some of the issues faced by this couple, the fact it comes from family makes it even worse. Twisted, suspenseful story that finishes on a cliff edge to be continued. To get full enjoyment of this story you do need to start at the beginning and invest the whole series, personally I can't wait for the next part. Well written plot that is packed and grips from start to finish it's intricate and has many levels but this author is known for just this style and it's what I love most about her books.

Captivating!! So thrilled to be back in this storyline once again! Finally Alana and Damion are together and are trying to build their HEA! Love this second chance romance trope and loving all the suspense and seduction that this author only can bring to a story!

But in their world full of power, control, greed, secrets, jealousy, distrust, danger, blackmail and deceit they have their work cut out for them if they are going to make it!

This is action packed. Full of intrigue, drama, secrets, lies, and family members betrayal. Alana and Damion’s lives have never been their own, always being manipulated by their own parents. Their relationship could be full of possibilities, but the problems they must face are enormous.

Will they be able to get through this together? Or will they be left bleeding from their destruction? Luckily they have Walker Security on their side but we will have to wait to find out in the next book in this series! Which I need ASAP!!!!

Interesting second part

As I said in my review of book one in this series- I think the three books could have been condensed into one book around 450 pages, as there is a lot of repetitive emotional stuff. I also have issues with the poor editing of this book (as I did with book 1), having found nine glaring errors.
That said there’s something about this series that has grabbed hold of me and I will be completing the series as I want to know how it all plays out. Apart from the editing errors the book is suspenseful and by the end of this second book there are plenty of strings that are enticing enough to keep the reader along for the ride. Damion reveals a slightly softer side of his character and Alana has grown a spine apparently. That was the only part of this book I found a bit far fetched… throughout the book she’s declaring that nothing Damion does/says with make her break up with him yet at the end of the book after the first challenge to their relationship (admittedly a devastating event) she immediately leaves him.

And just when things are really getting good, Alana drops a bombshell and it fades to black…

Another entertaining and twisty read by Lisa Renee Jones. I’m always left on the edge of my seat, desperate for the next in series. This one won’t disappoint but it will leave you wanting to know what comes next?!

This story picks up where Protege King ended. of Damian and Alana's story with the cliffhanger where Damian's father played mind games with them. This is a captivating story filled with intrigue, mind games in a war between father and son to take over the Wall Street billion dollar company. Alana has alway been Damian’s best friend, now fake girl friend, but everything feels so right. Damian just has to convince her it’s not fake and protect her and her family from his father. The story has a few twists and turns as the story unravels and Damian and her family’s secrets are revealed. I love a book where I get invested with the characters. This book is exactly one of those books. In book 1 of this series Damion stays away from Alana because he think that will protect her from his father and his rath. He realizes that he can run from his love for Alana anymore. This story has all sorts of twists and turns in the storyline. These 2 are star crossed loves who can’t seem to catch a break causing them to be damaged by life events their parents created. It is a great story but has happy and sad events. Hopefully with the next in the series they will be able to overcome and be able to love each other with pain. Hopefully her mother and his father will get what they deserve as well.

Scorned Queen is book two in the Wall Street Empire: Strictly Business series and I recommend you read book one Protégé King before you start this one. This book includes what was originally Scorned Queen Part 1 and Part 2 and it continues Alana and Damion's story. They have loved each other since they were kids and their love for each other has only gotten stronger over the years. These two go through a lot in this book but it makes their story that much more intense as they fight to take the throne. Scorned Queen ends in a cliffhanger so now I wait for the next book to come out to find out what happens next. Great writing and a page turning story make this a great addition to the series. My only complaint is the wait between books is too long. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

There was a lot going on in this book that is the continuation of Alana and Damion’s rocky story. The family drama is getting worse and the couple is facing so many lies, treats, intrigues and obstacles. I’m so delighted they have Walker Security on their side with amazing supporting characters like Blake, Savage and Adam.

Lisa Renee Jones is truly an amazing storyteller and I’m a big fan of her style. She demonstrates once more with this series her ability to weave together gripping storylines with powerful emotional complexity. Another heart-stealer for sure and I can't wait to read the next part of their intense story. Overall rating: 4.5 stars!

Scorned Queen was solid! 4 stars

I didn’t realize there was going to be one more book after this one, so Scorned Queen was a solid middle book. At the beginning of this book, Alana still became angry over things I didn’t think she should. Damion was possessive of her, and I enjoyed it! There were cameos that entertained me, and that’s all I will say! Alana said, “Protecting this bond between us feels more important than ever.” After what happened, will their bond still be in place? I can’t wait to find out , and I am nevertheless rooting for them to have a HEA!

Scorned Queen is a fantastic read. This is Alana and Damion facing their relationship head on. Alana has great strength going up against everything being thrown at her. Damion is strong but he's still trying to find that leverage to get his father out also while keeping Alana safe. I love the chemistry and how Alana isn't so afraid to call Damion out on his stuff. I love how Damion will do everything to keep Alana safe even if it means the possibility of walking. There is this cliff hanger that will having you needing the next book right away. I for sure cannot wait for more of Alana and Damion and see what happens with them. Go one click this and enjoy the ride now.

Scorned Queen by Lisa Renee Jones is the continuation of the exciting, enthralling story of Damion and Alana. Soooo much DRAMA in this story!! Damion can’t have her….but, he can’t let her go. There’s only one other alternative. But, that will create another deadly monster, one he can’t control.

Holy smokes! What a ride this book was! I literally could not put this book down!

She's loved him since they were kids. He’s always wanted to be more than best friends. She's his. They were always going to find each other again and this time it means war. They're each other's ride or die and there's something dark, dangerous, and possibly destructive on the horizon but can they survive to find their HEA? We're going to have to wait for the next book in this must read series to find out and I can't wait!

This book starts where the last one left off.

Alana is struggling with what she has learned. Things with Damion are getting more complicated, and she tries to protect herself. She wonders if she can continue pretending with Damion. Damion not only wants her but loves her. he wants to protect her from anyone that is a threat. Will they be able to figure things out before its too late?

This is a great story that will draw you in from the first chapter. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.
