About the Author Earl Nelson Higgins, a native Guyanese and former National Bishop of Guyana and Suriname, embarked on his journey with our Lord Jesus from childhood. He served as Senior Pastor for three Local churches for a total of forty-two years. While under Pastoral and National Appointments, Bishop Higgins planted six local churches and was involved in the construction of eight church buildings. He also played a role in establishing a local church in Suriname, purchasing a plot of land and submitting a building plan for their National Multi- Purpose Building.
Bishop Higgins is happily married to his “Juliet,” Daphne Yvonne for forty-eight years. They are blessed with three children, all happily married with spouses who are actively involved in leadership roles in their local churches. Beyond his church responsibilities, Bishop Higgins is a professional teacher with twenty-five years of teaching experience in five government schools. To further equip himself for ministry, he obtained a Master’s degree in Religion with the Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary.
Bishop Higgins is a servant leader who has passionately and sacrificially laboured beyond the normal call of duty. He is driven by the Great Commission and empowered by the abiding presence of the Holy Spirit.
