Fallen

Rate this book
A serial killer unicorn. A new designation. And protective Basilisks as mates. What more could a Chameleon shifter possibly want?
Investigating a string of brutal deaths by a unicorn shifter isn’t exactly my idea of a honeymoon present with my new mates. Especially when the next victim is found propped up in my truck like a sick game.
Whoever is one step ahead of us is just toying with my investigation.
It doesn’t help that I’ve barely gotten a handle on my designation and that my mates can’t seem to stop touching me, my traitorous body constantly melting in their presence.
At this rate, we’ll never find the creature leaving bodies all over the city.
Until the unicorn shifter leaves a clue that I can’t possibly ignore. He’s someone I know. Someone I’ve trusted. Someone I might have even loved once upon a time.
Hopefully, the new magic I’ve learned will help bring this case to a close.
Or maybe it’ll get us killed.
Fallen is the second novella in an 18+ MMM shifter slow-burn cozy suspense featuring a Chameleon shifter and his basilisk mates, a murderous unicorn shifter, and a whole lot of chaos. Ends with an HFN. CW in the Author’s note.

Loved!

This story is so unique and I absolutely love it! It was nice to dive back into Levi and his mates story! This book continued right where it left off from book 1 and I loved watching the dynamic and relationships grow throughout this story. This story had me flipping from page to page. I couldn’t put it down. The suspense had me on the edge of my seat.

There were twists and turns I didn’t see coming at all. I love how well balanced this story was with the cozy and steamy moments. It made me swoon at certain moments. The chemistry between the characters is definitely undeniable.

Overall, I loved this book so much! I can’t wait for the next story in the series. I highly recommend if you love shifter stories! This one is so good.

It was nice to return to Levi and his 2 basilisk mates. I liked the mystery in this with the unicorn killer and elements of Levi's past coming back to haunt him, and seeing the private investigation develop. There was still a splash of spice, but it was more drama and mystery focussed with the serial killer.
I liked seeing more of Levi's unique abilities in this too, and in definitely suspicious of his mentor's intentions for him. Looking forward to the next.

I liked the first book in this series, introducing us to Levi and his mates and had been looking forward to this one.

Book two gives us more insight their relationship, and as well as showing how Levi navigates his powers.

There was mystery and suspense, and a unicorn serial killer (!) and was an enjoyable, quick read.

3.5 ⭐️. Honestly, I didn’t love this one. The first book was fun and interesting and I feel like this one was just alot of the same thing scene after scene just strung together differently. I liked that this one was steamier and the mystery aspect to it though. Watching Lev try to figure out his power and learning more things about himself is great. Rowan and Amand are just as possessive and protecting as ever, and I can’t wait to see what goes down with Gerald. Even though i didn’t love this book I can’t wait for the next one as I do really enjoy this author!!

This series is such a delight.
I genuinely don’t know what to categorise them as. They’re paranormal romance obviously, but there’s a mix of humour in there as well as mystery and crime solving. It’s such a fun, interesting combination and the format of novellas that each focus on a different case is so different to anything else I’ve ever read. I’m really enjoying them.
This one was focussed on a killer unicorn (not something I ever thought I’d write!) and our hero and his 2 mates need to save the day.
It was short, fun and thoroughly enjoyable.

Fallen Cozy suspense Novella

Leviathan is a complex character, and at times it's difficult to determine whether he is actually happy about having two very possessive partners, the basilisk twins Rowan and Amand. Their possessiveness is almost adorable.

I loved the private investigator aspect of this story, but I was slightly disappointed that the unicorns weren’t portrayed as sweet and fluffy.

This fast-paced novella is filled with action, humor, and a touch of spice. And Medusa? I really need to know how that came about!

Killer Unicorns anyone

This is the second book in the Designation Series which follows Leviathan along with his two basilisk mates Amand & Rowan.

The twists and turns in this book had on the edge of my seat and I could not put it down until I found out what happened with the killer unicorn. There is also an underlying plot as to somebody possibly hiding something major which really kept me thinking throughout the book.

Cannot wait for the 3rd and final book in this series to have it all wrapped up.

Much higher heat than book 1, so no longer a cozy, but the mystery and suspense is still very much the main genre. Loved the mystery with the unicorn shifter and Levi's scummy but mysterious ex, Silas (didn't see that twist coming, wow).

I loved seeing Levi's powers progressing. Now that he is mated, it seems to have opened up and excelled his powers. It's nice to see he kinda has a support network in Gerard's PI agency, with Gerard training him, and all those high-tech gadgets they have.

Shame that Levi can't shift into a chameleon, but with his new powers, he's able to shift into any other creature that he can change his scent to, so that's super cool. And the teleportation, and invisibility upgrading to being non-corporeal.

Can't wait for the next book!

You can't help but love Lev! It's no wonder everybody wants him.

This second instalment is as good as the first one. It keeps you glued to the pages and has both humour, spice and a good plot.

Leviathan is a delicate mix of straightforward-ness, sass and self-issues, and his mates are amazing with him, the dynamic between them all perfect.
