Cassie stands at the crossroads of fate. Will light or darkness prevail?

Her soul is splitting in two, and only one version of herself will survive. To stop it, she must find the Twin Cup, a powerful relic that could finally sever the bond with her dark side. But every step forward drags her deeper into the unknown, and the road ahead is full of trials she may not survive.

In the midst of it all, Cassie learns of a prophecy that ties her fate to Hero in ways she never saw coming. The truth shakes everything she thought she knew as she learns that love doesn't always triumph… especially when fate has other plans.

As whispers spread of Zeus’s secret weapon, the Warriors of the Night, the team prepare to fight back. The gods are shifting their pieces, alliances are cracking, and the war is closer than ever.

The world is teetering on the edge. Cassie must choose who she wants to be, who she can trust, and how far she’s willing to go to change the course of destiny.

I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who reads this book and who has supported me along this journey. I appreciate you all, and I hope you enjoy reading Of Mirrors and Ice! It's been such a pleasure to write the story of Cassie and Hero and the rest of the gang, and we'll all be back next year for the 3rd installment! All the magic, Locklyn <3

This is how you write a sequel! It takes off right from where Of Stars and Tides left us and you get right back into the action. The story is compelling and energetic and we get to know the characters on a deeper level. The multiple POV’s gives us a broader understanding of this group and their individual goals, growth and struggles.

The spice was written in a hot romantic way, and it felt like watching your favorite fantasy television series come back with an epic season two. Come to think of it, this series would be an amazing television adaptation! The way Locklyn wrote the chapters / scenes is so vivid, it all played out as scenes in my head.

This series works perfect for you if you enjoyed Shadowhunters or the Percy Jackson series.

I received this eARC courtesy of the author. Thank you for the review opportunity!

I came for the story, got chained by the angst, and I’m never ever leaving .

You could not believe the gasp I let out when I saw the trigger warnings. I had just finished reading the first book and that cliffhanger just about broke me. AND YOU GET THAT? HELLO? I’m in pain (positive). We start off after the end of the last book, a bit after Hero wakes up alone, following Cassie. And oh my god. Locklyn, I gave you my heart and you tore it apart (positive).

In terms of world-building, we definitely get to learn more about the other Arenas as well as Cassie. And not just her story! There’s a whole lot of information that we’re getting, for better or for worse. Of course, I believe, it’s for the better.

The plot. We have long gone from the comforts of New Orleans. There’s much more at stake now, with the prophecy looming over their heads. And not just one god making sure things go his way, but more. There’s more action, more exciting situations, and revelations that’ll have you gripping on the edge of your seat!

Dual POV became Multiple POVs. In the first book, we simply followed the story of Hero and Cassie. But in this sequel, we find ourselves seeing the world through Titus’ and Nyssa’s eyes. Man do they not disappoint. I know I said I wanted to know more about them but this just about broke me. We learn so much more about them and how things unfolded to get to where they are now. I just wanna give them hugs.

Angst. You know how I loved the angst over on the first book? I got more, and ten-fold. There’s angst from all around, from every character, every relationship and every point of view. And I can’t get enough (I’m seeing a therapist, I swear). Prepare to be hurt. Prepare to feel. Prepare your heart. Just prepare.

Cassie and Hero. This was absolutely delicious. A wonderful concoction of emotions that can bring you to your knees. Every single moment of their relationship will make you feel alongside them. The spice got spicier (and definitely more than the one at the end of the first book) and it’s to die for.

Titus and Lukas. There’s angst, there’s love, there’s tears, and there’s pining, What else can you ask for? They’re my precious babies and they have come so far. They have grown.

Nyssa and Elijah. It’s sweet. It’s romantic. It’s wholesome. They’re there for each other, supporting each other, caring for one another.

Artemis and Quinn. I want nothing more for them to be happy. Locklyn, however you want this to happen, I trust you (please break me).

Locklyn, please. I will forever be grateful for the opportunity to read this book before launch. I offer my heart and soul to you.

So go straight into the action. From chapter one till the end. You do get different point of views in this book which I like because you get to understand the other characters more. So I love that a lot about this book. But you also get to learn more about Cassie, Hero, Quinn, Nyssa, and Titus. I actually love learning more about Nyssa and Titus. It's gives you a different POV and you get to understand why certain things have happened to them and why they did what they did.

Honestly I was so mad at Cassie throughout this whole book. I understand why she did what she did but oh my was she selfish at certain times. The fights with Hero, her and her dark side, and just not knowing when to pick something and stop fighting. I was so mad at her that I couldn't stand her at times. I still love her but ughh!!!! You just want to shake her at times. But man that ending. First I wanna know who that was and second I knew it!!!! Ahhh!!! I need book 3!!!! I must know what happens!!

I was provided an ARC copy in exchange for a review.

Ok, this was a good book! The story continued, we met new characters, we had battles and we fell in love!

No spoilers here but I do like the way the story flowed. I enjoyed the multiple POVs, a bit more spice in this one. Which I like in my stories.

Ends on a cliffhanger so looking forward to book 3!

The only thing I disliked tbh was the MMC, I honestly didn’t like him as a whole. It’s a me thing as the character is good in general, just wasn’t my cup of tea!

I don’t have a lot to say about this book. I think I read this at the wrong time. It was a busy week and my attention span wasn’t the best which unfortunately made this book a tad difficult to read. I enjoyed the first one but for some reason couldn’t really get into this one. I couldn’t really remember who was who and how they were related to the story. And I feel bad because I definitely don’t want to give a bad review.

This book isn’t bad at all and the author is really talented in writing and I’m definitely reading more books from them. This maybe wasn’t for me right now.

However I would recommend if you’re looking for a good fantasy read!

Thank you to the author for giving me this arc in exchange for my honest review.

*****Review from an ARC reader*****

As a sequel in Locklyn Blake’s captivating series, "Of Mirrors and Ice" takes the themes and world-building introduced in the first book and elevates them to new heights. I can say this novel is a gem that sparkles with imagination, emotion, and deep thematic resonance. Imagine the action-packed, witty adventure of Percy Jackson set in a world where the Zodiac signs are more than just symbols—they're powerful forces that shape the destiny of the characters. Set against the atmospheric backdrop of New Orleans, this book adds an extra layer of spice to an already captivating mix.

Cassie's conflict between her light and dark sides is one of the most compelling aspects of this book. Throughout the story, she is pulled between two forces—one that represents her strengths, virtues, and the potential for good, and another that embodies her fears, doubts, and darker impulses. The choice she faces is not just a simple good versus evil decision; it’s about understanding and accepting all parts of herself.

The tension and urgency added by the prophecy elevate Hero and Cassie’s relationship, making their banter and interactions even more meaningful. This added layer of conflict not only deepens their connection but also affects how they and the other characters navigate their intertwined fates.

Of Mirrors and Ice is a sequel that hits all the right notes for those who grew up loving mythological adventures, astrology, and supernatural drama. With its dynamic blend of Percy Jackson adventure, Zodiac mysticism, and Vampire Diaries intrigue, all set against the evocative backdrop of New Orleans, this book offers a richly satisfying read that feels both nostalgic and refreshingly original. Whether you’re drawn to the fantasy elements, the character drama, or the enchanting setting, this story delivers it all.

I was lucky enough to be an ARC reader for the fantastic second installment of the series!

Of Mirrors and Ice by Locklyn Blake is an enchanting and spellbinding fantasy novel that had me hooked from start to finish! The world-building is absolutely captivating; Blake has created a lush, intricate universe filled with rich details that make it feel incredibly real. The magic system is unique and refreshing, with just the right amount of mystery and wonder to keep readers eagerly turning pages.

The characters are wonderfully complex and easy to root for, especially the protagonist, whose emotional depth and personal journey are truly compelling. The dynamics between the characters are beautifully developed, making the stakes of their relationships feel meaningful and important.

The pacing is spot-on, with just the right balance of action, suspense, and tender moments. Blake does a fantastic job of weaving together intense plot twists and emotional moments, keeping the reader engaged without ever feeling overwhelmed.

What I especially loved was the seamless way Blake mixes action with emotional depth. It’s a book that’s as thrilling as it is heartfelt, and that’s not something you come across every day.

Overall, Of Mirrors and Ice is a must-read for fans of fantasy, with its immersive world, complex characters, and an unpredictable storyline. I can’t wait to see where Blake takes us next! Highly recommended!

This is the 2nd book in the series.

In the 1st book Cassie, Hero and the team manage to find the potion. The 1st part of the things needed to split Cassie from her evil Twin within her.

In this book the team sets out on multiple Quests. Cassie and Hero both made an blood oath with a seeker (demon like creature). So part of the group goes to the Japanese Arena. And Hero, Cassie, Artemis and Quinn go to the Icelandic Arena. They need to find the 2nd part (a cup) for the split. And they need to fulfil the blood oaths before the time runs out.

We follow both story lines. And again this book is written so well! I dont mind the multiple Pov at all. And you always understand in the first few sentences who you are following.

Although a lot of things are happening its not to much or confusing. I really enjoyed this part. And the end. I need book 3 like now, no pressure Locklyn 😉.

This book gets ⭐⭐⭐⭐💫. I really recommend this serie so far! And im sad i have to wait for the next books

I was so honored to get an ARC of this before it came out. I remember seeing videos about Of Stars & Tides before it came out and I knew I had to read that book. Of course, once I finished the first book, I knew I was going to be in love and completely captivated with the second book.

This picks up right after the events in Of Stars & Tides. I have loved seeing the friendships in this book blossom, really loved seeing Quinn & Hero’s friendship! I don’t want to spoil too much but this book just made me love Cassie so much more. She weirdly feels like my Gemini sister lol. She cares very deeply about Hero and what happens to him. She cares about the whole zodiac crew and will do anything for them. The ending of this book, I sort of saw coming but ugh reading I was still shook and the ending!! What does it mean?! 😩 I can’t wait for the next one!

Holy smokes!! What a sequel!! The adventure continues in such an epic way!! This had so many twists and turns, I couldnt put it down! Expect the unexpected and prepare yourself for a lot of darkness. This one has a bunch of action and it does get gorey and bloody. You also get more POVs with this book and even more information! I'm so excited to see how this all plays out because this was an insane follow up, the antes are upped and the trials are even more mind blowing! You're not ready for this one, so just jump right in!! Also if you were hoping for more between Cassie and Hero, you're guna be very happy!! The romance is romancing (and not just between those two).

4⭐️

This is the second book in The Divine Prophecies series - it picks up right where the first book ended with Cassie deep into the newfound world of Zodiacs and Gods. This book focuses on Cassie and her internal struggles of light vs dark and the right choices throughout various trials and tests. With so much happening throughout the story, it did feel like some bigger scenes were skipped over or the story jumped around a bunch. There is so much action, you will not want to put the book down. If you enjoyed the Mortal Instrument series, you will love this series!

Thank you to Locklyn Blake for the eARC, my review and thoughts are my own.

The second book in the series, Of Mirrors and Ice continues right where Of Stars and Tides left off. I am a huge fan of Cassie, our main character who had been unexpectedly thrown into the world of Greek mythology, demigods, etc. unexpectedly. She is strong, independent and a complete bada$$. Even though her life has shifted so drastically over the course of the books, she continues to fight and persevere. I can’t wait to see what comes next for her.

Note: There is more to the series coming in 2025, so Cassie’s story doesn’t end here!

Wow! I loved this book. Book 1 was good, but book 2 just amped it all up. I loved the multi pov in this one, seeing Nyssa and Titus’ sides. I loved the duality with Cass and her dark side, how I didn’t see what would come at all. Mind blown, and I’m pleasantly surprised that there will be a third book!! Cannot wait to read it, I desperately need to see how this will all finish, what will happen with Zeus etc. So good!! Thank you so much for the opportunity to ARC read this, leaving a review of my own volition.

What a fantastic follow up to the first book! The details and depictions of the action, characters, fight scenes, etc are exactly what I was hoping for in world building from Of Stars and Tides. The writing style and voice are totally on point. And once again I'm left in suspense now awaiting Book #3! So much adventure and depth to get lost in. I'm thinking this entire series is going to become a classic in the genre, and it really is a great series for a well-rounded collection of any fan of this genre!

This book begins right where Of Stars and Tides ended (which I love - I hate time jumps). The plot steamrolls ahead from the first page, and it is a wild ride for the entire book.

All the relationships between the characters continue to grow, and the multiple POV gives you insight into more members of the team. I couldn't help but feel for Cassie this book. She takes so much on herself to protect the ones she loves. If it were me, I would have said "screw it" a long time ago. If you wanted some more spice than book one, don't worry - it's got it! Also, that ending?! I can't wait to see what happens in book 3!

Tropes:
-fated love
-found family
-good vs. evil

Perfect for those who wanted the Percy Jackson series to grow up with you!

I received this book as an ARC. This took me such a long time to read, my focus was off and I probably would have enjoyed it more if work hadn’t been crazy and between people visiting. But I struggled wanting to sit and read at night. I liked that the story picked up right where it left off from the 1st book. But I found some of the story telling a little broken or jumbled, and incredibly cringy at times. Will I read the 3rd book when it comes out? Maybe.

Now that’s a sequel! I absolutely love the first book, and the second…it’s great. The action continues but you also get wonderful development of more characters than just the MCs. As always there’s twists and turns, some a little expected and others being complete surprises. I can’t wait to see what happens next! Only downside, having to pretend to be patient and wait for the next book lol.

This book series is addicting! It’s so easy to get sucked in and read it all in one day! I will be eagerly waiting for the next installment.

I’m very glad that the two main characters end up together during this book, and I liked how more of the found family characters were included in the POVs. I think it was not only helpful for the plot but brought them to life even more.

4.5⭐️s if I could. I loved this book even more than I did the first. This book the characters develop even more and we learn so much about each one, and the world they live in. Also the relations ships both romatocs and not become so deep and meaningful it's amazing to read and real feel what they are feeling. I cannot wait to see what happens next!

I was very excited to get back into this astrology and zodiac inspired world as the first book ended with my breath catching because ... what next?

And picking up right where the first left off, I got my "what next" question answered and even more than I bargained for. More questions too, of course. The constant battle of emotions, of good and bad, of balance are always at play, almost too much because as a reader I didn't know what side I was rooting for and why I was uneasy even trying to side with a character in the first more. There were things that just seemed too easy. Also, there was just so much missing (and still missing!) and I got to experience the frustration of trying to figure out what along with the characters--all of whom I want to give hugs and am proud of for the progress they made in this story. The multiple perspectives really helped balance out the ... well lack of balance (and sometimes the slowness of the plot or my annoyance with Cassie) because readers get to see a little of everything as it all comes together (or not).

I was disappointed to face another cliff hanger although this one was expected with how the last few pages of the story unfolded. I'll be waiting for more!

For fans of shadowhunters, zodiac academy ; this is definitely a book for you. Cassie keeps getting on my nerves but if you look at it from her POV i think you'll get why she behaves how she does. I love Hero and how his so understanding and jus there to follow her lead.

I DNF’d
I liked the first book but I felt like the character building was still lacking and I had little emotional connection with them.

Maybe I’ll come back and read at a later time and redo my review, but as of now I just can’t get into it.
