Take a dark descent into a world of supernatural evil! Explore true horrors of sinister spirits, ominous ghosts, angry souls, menacing monsters, malicious demons, and cursed creatures in this collection of the malevolent paranormal!
Sometimes the monsters are monsters — swimming the murky waters of Loch Ness, stalking their victims the streets of small town America, or hunting innocents across the desolate British moors. At other times, the darkness lies within the human soul itself — the falsely accused who were executed for witchcraft in Salem, those hounded to their graves (and beyond) by cruel pursuers, or those cursed by all forms of vile spirits. Then there are the devils and demons lurking in the darkness, capable of possessing and tormenting the living.

I'm a 48-year-old child who has no plans to ever actually grow up.
I make my living as a paramedic, clinical educator, for a busy hospital system and work as a street medic in a 911 system.
In my free time, I serve as the director of the Boulder County Paranormal Research Society, and investigate claims of haunted properties, people, and objects on both sides of the Atlantic. I love to read, particularly SF/Fantasy, history and historical fiction, the paranormal, and basically anything that piques my interest. I appear on the TV shows Haunted Hospitals, Paranormal 911, Paranormal Night Shift, Haunted Case Files, and several others.
I am an avid video gamer, table-top gamer, and love to build Lego. My wife and I are the proud humans of five adopted rescue cats and one smelly but adorable dog.
Another 5 star read by the incredible, Richard Estep. “Dark Spirits: Monsters, Demons & Devils” takes a deep dive into the darker side of paranormal. In this Richard takes you on a journey of personal experiences of his, along with tales, history & folklore. He talks about prior investigations at different haunted locations with a dark history. Including Malvern Manor & Villisca Axe Murder house here in Iowa (plus several other locations). He talks about shadow people (including the “Principal” at Farrar, which will forever be one of my favorite locations to investigate along with Malvern.), Black Eyed Kids, Skinwalkers, aliens, curses, demons/devils and so much more. If you’re wanting to learn more about the darker side of paranormal this book is for you. If you just enjoy paranormal in general this book is also for you. It’s educational and enjoyable to read. Give it a read, you won’t be sorry!
I’ve certainly got some healthy new fears now and maybe a few new places to explore on future vacations. 👻
I loved learning about these haunted locales and the spirits that enhabit them. There were a few I’d heard of before, but a bunch of new (to me) ones which is always a great discovery in a book.
I found this to be a lazy book filled with the same legends and stories that are on the travel channel weekly. A deep dive would have been nice or some focus but none of that was interested. I usually love books like this because they are fun to read but this offered nothing.
