Reading my third innocent FMC from this author paired again with another walking red flag hoe isn't going to work with me anymore. One was bad enough, but three—yeah, crap that. 🥴
I thought this would stop with Monroe (the pucking wrong number) and Anastasia (the pucking wrong man), but it seems since this is a new college series, I guess innocent FMCs in the upcoming books wouldn't be surprised at all.
To make matters worse, all the MMCs look like major manwhores. Gosh, we don't need more of that. 🤮
Also, I skimmed this, and maybe I missed something, but Casey is soooo freaking bland. And Parker, idk, his red-flag ways felt tame and looked forced. Dunno, maybe I missed a lot of stuff, 'cause again I skimmed it after knowing she's a freaking virgin.
Anyway, this is a ME thing, obviously, but the virgin x manwhore pairing will always be my definite mood killer. Had I known, I wouldn't have borrowed this at all. 😒🤦♀️

PS. I feel like some of the scenes are recycled and have already been done in the "the pucking wrong" series. Just like that scene when Parker locked Casey in the basement after she tried to escape once she found out what he did. Yeah, just like what Linc pulled on Monroe when she did the same thing. So, like, most of it was pretty much the same old stuff, which made it kinda boring, and that’s probably saying something since I just skimmed through it. 🤷♀️
PPS. Also this is completely wrong on so many levels: "What would you say if I got the drugs from Jace’s brother, and I tossed it into a drink and gave it to Gray? What would you say if I watched him drink it with a smile on my face before I sent a girl after him." If the roles had been reversed, I'm sure the reaction would've been worse. 🤦

I love it when the hero immediately wants the heroine sooo bad and obsessed with her already and knows that she’s the one! After the first time he saw her!!!
I don’t know but y’all but I love that very much and this hero here really delivers that! Yesss! 🏄🏻♀️🏄🏻♀️🏄🏻♀️
AND THE WAY THE HERO WANTS THE HEROINE IS IN ANOTHER LEVEL🌬️ 🔥🔥🔥🔥
The love in first sight scene just made me really curious about this story and i know i need to continue till the end! Especially when the hero really immediately made the first move introducing himself and pursue her sooo much. ALL IN. No holding back ~ Wow that’s just the best! AND LET ME TELL YOU THAT 95% OF THE HERO’S POV IS ALL ABOUT THE HEROINE…. about wanting the heroine, thinking about her and many more. So prepare yourself for a EXTREME OBSESSION FROM THE HERO 💖💖

Where do i even begin…
The story starts with the heroine’s POV. It start with the heroine was meeting her childhood best friend and her first love name gray in the campus cause his already there… When they meet it shows how much the heroine care about this gray person and how much they shared a history together along with her late brother. He even walked her to her dorm and promise to meet up later… at this moment they weren’t dating yet, just close friends and who haven’t seen each other for a long time like two years if I’m not mistaken… And the last time gray did is kissed her, only kissing. Nothing more…
When the heroine meet with her amazing roommate, the next day they went out together around campus to get to class. When they stopped at a building, gray showed up. But this moment we also can see that gray didn’t help this heroine during her first day at campus, only just walking her through the dorm. He cancel the first dinner, so the heroine’s haven’t see him much… Gray asked her if she wants to have lunch and what’s her schedule but she already sent him the schedule so she was a bit annoyed that he forgot. Suddenly he kissed her but i think it was a quick kiss, no intense one because he immediately just walked away after that… Super weird.
The heroine went to her class and that’s when the hero first saw her… When they officially meet for the first time…
The hero is also a teaching assistant and the heroine went to his professor’s class. We also can see the first POV of the hero that many women likes to flirt with him and sending him flirty things… Like his first POV a ex one night stand comes up but the hero pushed her away because he said she was insane so a big no. And then here at the class when he meet the heroine for the first time, a few women try to flirt with him as well…
But this class really change his life for the first time because he finally meet the heroine… And he even proclaimed the heroine immediately is “the one” he was looking for…
“I froze, completely forgetting what I was supposed to be doing. It was like a literal goddess had been dropped into the fucking room.
I was losing it. The Davis family had a curse. Or at least they liked to think that they did. Our male family members tended to be one look and that’s all kind of people. When they found “the one,” that was it.”

A woman saw he was hard and thought it was because of her but when it’s not at all🤣 “literally licked her lips at me, and I flinched like I’d been shot, my gaze jerking back to the beauty in the back because suddenly any girl’s attention but hers felt unacceptable.”. I love that the hero really just don’t like that at all because his mind and his body inside out is already set with the heroine…
“Like she had a magnet attached to her head, my gaze went to hers. Fuck. She was looking at me. Something sparked to life inside me. Like I’d had a dead heart all along, and now it was finally beating.
Because of her.”
He even said that the heroine is a goddess at this class. He wants to know everything about her immediately and he even got stutter when he have to introduces himself as the TA because of the heroine.

And he went after her after class, wants to know her name! Actions speaks louder than words 😜

Yes when i write extreme it is extreme 🔥🔥🔥😙 The hero used to be a manwhor3 he said but not so much anymore before the heroine came to the picture because many women liked to fvcked things up he said. But the exact time, he didn’t say…
His personality is very interesting, he’s close with his older brothers like truly have an amazing relationship with them because the group chat is so funny to read, smart straight A’s student, not arrogant, not alcoholic. Dominant for sure. Have 2 loyal friends with him and their group chat is also funny…
THE HERO’S POV IS 95% about the heroine 😁😁😜🥰
‼️‼️‼️THE HEROINE… The heroine is definitely an introvert, she’s not sassy tho, she’s been through a lot in her life especially with her own family… The heroine knows how to play a piano and a bit submissive to the hero… We also can see her insecurities but not too much tho. And about her mental health but not too much tho, not too much where it’s heavy for you to read so relax 🤗 The heroine even though she’s an introvert, but she also opens up with her new roommate, and that roommate became her best friend as well which is the best thing too because i hated when a roommate is a burden 😄😄 The heroine also describes very cute and even though she’s very beautiful, but she’s not arrogant about it and she also is not a cold person even though what she’s been through is hard for her…
I love it when the heroine is sassy but even though she’s not, I still considered this heroine a good one…
and thankfully she’s not childish and not annoying 😅

When the hero went to see his brother with the heroine, the hero have to close her eyes couple of times because he didn’t want her to see the mens stretching or doing a workout 🤣🤣 This is first for me to see a hero like this and i love it!!!! “Fuck,” he growled, quickly placing a hand over my eyes. “Maybe bringing you down here was a bad idea.”
“Are you going to introduce me?”
Walker asked, winking at me.
“Hey, no winking,” Parker snapped, covering my eyes again.” 😄😄
‼️‼️‼️There was a ex boyfriend from the heroine that shows up and ex one night stand that shows up from the hero. The one night stand shows up like twice and it was a quick talk, nothing more. And also there’s one scene where the heroine hear and saw another ex one night stand from the hero but that was also only one time.

The ex boyfriend is was quite confusing tho. So get this… The ex boyfie dated the heroine first and claimed to love her so much… BUT… He never ever make an effort for her! Seriously zero efforts. He always busy and the heroine is the one who always looks for him which is disturbing😅 The ex and her only kissed and sleep together but no s3x tho! And it is so confusing as well when the ex always shows up more when they broke up. But during the relationship he never prioritize her 😅🥲
Since the hero pov started, he actually never ever touch any other woman again even before meeting the heroine… So that was nice to see ~

Before they’re relationship, when the heroine was still dating her ex, the heroine went to the games with roommate and suddenly they’re were on a screen. The roommate do the dance move but the heroine didn’t and the hero staring at the camera watching the heroine on the screen blew a kiss and pointed at it which is the heroine! Like wow🥰🥰 And then when they’re officially dating, there was this big game the hero had and after he finished set a goal he immediately runs towards the heroine in the bleachers and kissed her in front of everyone! Talk about a cinderella story moment right now😜 And this is just in the beginning of the relationship!
The hero stalk the heroine, he immediately know that the heroine is the one for him since he first saw her, in just few minutes after seeing the heroine for the first time he immediately felt disgusted when few women try to flirt with him (it was pretty quick which is amazing), he starts to think about the heroine having a future with him, the hero even promises himself that he will never ever use a harsh tone to the heroine (idk but that was a very nice gesture), he immediately goes to her profile in the computer to see where she comes from, he pays attention to every single details about her like her class everything!, he even waited the heroine at the door after she closed it because that’s how much he is happy to see her, the hero can’t stop touching the heroine like when he sees her every time he always make sure to kiss and touch her all the freakin time even when he was driving 😄, HE SPOILED HER EVERY SINGLE DAY AND GIFTED HER A PIANO OF HER OWN TOO WHEN THEY FINALLY LIVE TOGETHER, the hero always buys her coffee and food even she didn’t ask him to, he always sees her even when they are surrounded by group of woman like HIS EYES IS ONLY SET ON HER SINCE THE FIRST DAY!!!, the hero always make sure the heroine is in every conversation he has with people that talks to him, even when they’re at a party together he make sure the heroine is next to him and holding her all the time, he always opens door for her, he even goes to the cemetery to see her brother and talked to him and asks for permission🥺, when they’re finally officially dating he always walked the heroine to her dorm and make sure to have breakfast lunch together every single day, he even cover her ears if the guy friends started talking about inappropriate things, and when they were living together he make sure to know how to cook for her favorite food without her asking him to! LIKE OH MY THIS HERO REALLY WILL DO ANYTHING TO HER…. ANYTHING 💙💙💙💙

Even though it started with the heroine dating someone else and usually i don’t like it when it started like that! but because that ex boyfriend of hers was not giving the best for her it made me not liking him 🤣😄 But the heroine also was totally broke up with him when she allow the hero to be closer to her than ever so i think it was okay. Before that the hero can only touch her hand few seconds and kissed her cheek one time (also after he kissed her cheek she runaway and said she can’t). Even tho she moved on so quick🤣 But because the hero is so amazing to her so who wouldn’t resist 😜🥺🥺🌬️

The side plots were slightly messy because everything just miraculously worked out for Parker. I thought that maybe the secret society plot was a bit underwhelming. BUT THE GRIEF WAS SO PALPABLE ALL THROUGH! The author did an amazing job describing the conflicting feelings of loss and what it means to “move on”

Am I the only one who feels bad for Gray? Like, he wasn’t a bad person, really, at all. His friend died, and he turned to drinking a lot. And all of the past scenes of him and Grace show he was actually a really good person. Yes, he should have given more attention to Grace when dating her, but he wasn’t a bad person. And then what Parker did to him—secondhand sexually assaulting him and drugging him—I really don’t know how I feel about that. And then, trying to explain it to your girlfriend that you didn’t cheat on her, that you were drugged and sexually assaulted, but not a single person believes you? That’s so sad. If this was the other way around, and Gray was a girl, everyone would go crazy. I felt extremely bad for him trying to tell her he was drugged and that Parker sent the girl over to assault him, and she wouldn’t believe him. All I do know is I want his book badly and hope he gets a happy ending.

Hehehe, I needed another red flag man, and honest Parker wasn't too red in that department. He did some stuff, but it wasn't super bad.
Casey baby, she felt so alone even when her brother was alive. And when he died, she felt even more alone since the one person she thought cared for her left. Gary 🤮 he said all the right things before he left, but then like sorta ghosted her for 2 years, sending her texts from school. You know he wasn't faithful even if they didn't say what they were. Now she's at the school and still feels like she's a 2nd thought when he cancles always come with his frat brothers. It's giving her mixed feelings.
Then she meets Parker, who is sprung on her the first moment he met her in class. He's all about Casey. Even his close friends know this is different, lol. I did love how he nudged another woman to break up Casey and the guy.
He knew what he wanted and went to get it. Even as going far enough to lock her in a basement with him lol. 🥰.
The secret society was okay it didn't truly bring to the plot in my eyes beside like one thing to blackmail a teacher beside that nothing really.
I love Jace and he's a manwhore but let's see how his story turns out. Matty I wonder if his person is his female stalker?

How dare booktok place this book in the likes of The L.O.R.D.S. Shame to all of you. Parker has nothing compared to Ryat, Sin and Tyson. He's not even in the same atmosphere breathing the same air. Nothing can be trusted these days.

This was so entertaining in that unapologetically toxic charming stalker kinda way that sometimes just hits the spot—don’t ask me why, I refuse to self-analyze (more) today. Plus I enjoyed the ride-or-die jock bromance almost as much as my all-time favorite one (Kavanaugh & Gibsie, obvi).

Is this book exactly the same as the Pucking Wrongs with the same style of over the top obsessive MMC? Yes. Does it have the exact same style of group of friends that reminds you of the Pucking Wrongs, Jace is Ari, Matty “might” be Lincoln and Parker is Walker ? Yes. Does it even have the same text group style? Yes. DID I LIKE IT REGARDLESS? YES ! 😂
At this point I am convinced that C.R. Jane can write a grocery list in a funny text message group and I will read it AND like it.
There’s nothing new in this book, it’s the Pucking Wrong but in a different sport. He was way too tame for this authors heroes. She was boring like no personality at all other than shy. Shy is not a personality its blah. She was so boring I barely made it thought the book. I need heroines who are worthy of their heroes and the last couple of books from this author have failed miserably to meet that qualification.
Tried way too hard to be funny and was not funny at all.I have already heard those jokes the author did not write her own jokes she just wrote in already existing jokes. Snowballs is a very popular joke way too over used.
Also she would have felt major guilt that her brother died because he came and got her because she is awkward at parties but no where does it mention that . She is sad about her brother but it does not mention the guilt. She would have had survivors guilt and believed it was all her fault but that is never mentioned.

I tried, and tried, and tried, but was unable to connect. Too wordy, no flow. Casey should have let go the childhood crush years ago. That crush seemed redundant. I DNFed at 60%. The whole alpha hero felt forced.

If you love red flag book boyfriends as much as I do, then you’re going to LOVE Parker Davis. He’s completely crazy about Casey from the first moment he sees her, I would expect nothing less from Disney’s brother. If you like secret societies, football players, funny banter, and a guy who will literally do anything to keep his girl, give this book a shot.

I really wanted to love this book like I loved The Circle of Trust but Parker definitely didn’t outshine Walker.
it seemed very rushed and honestly Gray deserved better. Yes, Casey deserved more from him but he was gone for two years while also hurting from the loss of his best friend. They needed time to get to know each other again but he didn’t seem like a bad person, especially all of her flashbacks about him. 😐 so for Parker to ruin it the way he did was eh… cause if Gray was a complete jackass I would’ve seen the reason for it.
I didn’t feel the chemistry between Cas and Parker either. I also felt like there was a lot going on. You had Gray, Sphinx, Professor Hendrick and it was a lot we could’ve gone without. Like a whole chapter for the grave scene?
I see that Jace has book is coming out and I really wish we got to know more about him and Matt to want to deep dive into the next books. Would’ve also thought Nat would be more in the mix, she’s feisty and I loved her more than Casey.
My favorite part is Parker talking to his momma towards the end. 🖤

It's a talent to write a book about a stalking psychopath in a way that it reads like a goofy and cheesy rom-com🤣🤡🙈

She had given up on life after losing the love of her life and was the reason he chose the University of Tennessee which was close to home.
The story: At her brother's funeral, Gray had kissed Casey and at the time, he knew she wasn’t ready. He told her he was willing to wait for her to get older. So, when she arrived at the University of Tennessee, he was there for her. He was now in a fraternity and had a lot going on, though he made time for Casey. Though things were a bit strange between them without Ben. Gray seemed like he wanted to be with Casey, but he was acting strange. He cancelled dates on her and seemed touchy feely when they were together but seemed to care more about what his group of guys thought than her.
When Parker goes to the history of the roman empire class where he works as the teacher’s assistant, he sees Casey when she comes in late and knocks down her desk. He is immediately obsessed with her. He had heard tales of his family curse where members of his family immediately know when they meet the love of their life and are destined to love them obsessively forever. He sees this curse in his mother who lost all interest in life after his dad died. Casey was attracted to Parker from the start as well, though she had first seen him on a football poster. She couldn’t believe that he was interested in her.
I liked that each character had their own traumatic backstory. Casey started dating Gray right away after getting to school, though she found that he was a stranger, a frat boy who liked to party a bit too much and she didn’t have much of a connection to him despite the fact that she had always had a crush on him and they had the crash and her brother in common. Her attraction to Parker was hard to deny as well. Parker does things that aren’t normal, though he freely admits to his psychotic tendencies. I think he went too far though to make Casey his and keep her. I wouldn’t have forgiven him, but she did and even admitted to herself that she kind of liked how far he went. I have to admit I liked the way he supported her, and he did adore and cherish her, and isn’t that what we all really want?
This audiobook was told in multiple points of view via duet narration and was narrated by Lucas Wesley and Alexis Paige. I love that this one was done in duet narration, because not enough romance books are done that way and these two have the perfect voices for the characters. Alexis has a great voice that sounds age appropriate for Casey and Lucas has a deep, yet soft voice that I really enjoyed.

I absolutely loved Parker in this. He had the “crazy” that all of our men from The Pucking Wrong series have, but then he also had a really freakin’ sweet side.

In classic CR Jane fashion she gave us a red flag of all red flags. The things he would do for her or to her to get her! Damnnn I loved it!

You know that sound you make after drinking a cool, sweet drink on a hot ass summer day? The one that goes "Ahhhhh!"? that was me reading this book 😂😂 The H is the bestest with his obsessed, jealous self and after reading so many books that don't have enough of that, I drank this up going AHHHH!!!!!! The h tho? She had the personality of a window. You know she's there, but you just see right through her. Its all about the H 👀
This starts With her brothers best friend, her brother and h driving and they get in an accident. Her piano hand is injured so she can't play at Juilliard anymore and her brother dies. Two years later, She goes to a Tennessee college since that was where her brother was going to go. During the two years leading up to her going to Tennessee,the bros best friend texted her every once in awhile and barely visits. He's too busy with his frat and probably effing other girls. The weird part is as soon as he sees her on campus, he kind of just tells her they're together? And she just goes along with it like a blob fish. He's like a completely different person than what she remembers him by but Okur 🙄🙄🙄
Then she goes to her history class and he sees her😁😍😍😍 I love Insta love 😊 that's probably why I loved the first hockey book by cr jane. there is a no fraternizing between the TA and students but he no give no shits 😂😂

1. He is a BIG BRAIN and gets perfect scores/all As. she's a tutor at school so he gets tutoring at a math class he took two years ago and aced every test 😂 he
2. He creates a fire in her dorm room so she has to move in with him
3. He slips a drug into Grey's drink (bros best friend) and then sends a girl over to him while he's drugged up to make out with him. She comes out of the bathroom and sees them.
4. He gets antsy when shes not with him for long periods of time 😂
5. He makes her friends have her sit in the middle of them during games so no guys can talk or sit next to her 😂😂
6. His bff tries to hand her the winning football and H was having none of dat 😂😂
7. She finds out about grey and the drugging so shes about to pack and then he takes her to the basement and locks her there til he feels like shell never leave him 😍😍😍😍💅

What did h do? She was a blob fish. She was like a NPC. For people who don't have kids who game all the time, that's a non-player character. Uh huh. She was as fun as watching paint dey. Or grass grow. She literally was just there to sit still and look pretty.

The Wrong Quarterback was just all around enjoyable and smutty. Casey’s past was really heartbreaking but when Parker saw her, everything changed and he became her safe space.
Parker was all red flags and I loved it. LOVED IT. I enjoyed the storyline and the smut. Just a super enjoyable read.

The Wrong Quarterback was just all around enjoyable and smutty. Casey’s past was really heartbreaking but when Parker saw her, everything changed and he became her safe space.

this book is ridiculous. i had a fun time.
thoughts:
- I pretended these people weren’t in college the entire time bc a 20 yr old acting like this is too much
- the most insane part of this book was not the MMC’s stalker behavior, but that any Tennessee university would ever win the national championship (i’m from TN)

This is my first read by C.R.Jane, and it won't be my last for sure.
And here I am again with a YA college romance, which is not my normal reading style.
The hero Parker is a psycho for his girl.I dont recall in my reading journeys ever coming across a hero that is so utterly crazy,jealous,possessive, and obsessed as this one.Did I mention his stalker tendency?
While some of his actions were questionable, the more I read,I began to really enjoy this hero and the total love he has for his girl.
This may not be for everyone,but I enjoyed this .
Virgin heroine
Past manho,once he met the heroine,that was it for him
Football player H/ heroine is a college freshman who is still mourning the death of her brother from 2 years prior.
OM drama,they only kissed
Steamy sex scenes
Best friend camaraderie

Has epilogues 1 year later

1.5 stars, rounded. What the hell? First of all, I do not condone what this stupid ass hero did. Second of all, this book was all over the place. All of this author’s books are overdramatic and meant to showcase a red flag hero, but this wasn’t even entertaining enough to let that slide. I didn’t care for Gray, but Parker’s actions towards him were disgusting. The heroine, Casey, was also drab and devoid of any personality. How could they both be so boring yet so full of warnings simultaneously? The amount of telling rather than showing also threw me off; I don’t remember previous works being this bland in writing quality, but maybe it’s always been that way. Yikes.

Prologue 🌸
Two years earlier. After a devastating life situation, Casey is having a panic attack. The way Gray handled it was so wrong!!! And since this is only in the prologue I can safely reveal that when a person is having a panic attack you do not kiss them senseless and then leave them to the promise of seeing them again when they're older!!
Nope! That's downright dangerous, careless and selfish.
🚩 Instantly hated Gray.
Forward to the present 🌸
Parker, our MMC, is so unhinged and deranged! His POVs endear him but if it were from only her POV we definitely would have pointed him out as a walking red flag.
🚩 Modern feminists, this book is definitely not for you.
The book is a bit rushed. The author had so many things going on. The secret society induction. The exboyfriend, Gray. Parker's obsession. His football prospect. His mom.
It was more about him than about her and the fact that she is an inexperienced woman who was bulldozed by the hurricane that is a specimen such as Parker didn't give her much space to grow as a character.
She believes that the stars must have aligned to be able to attract a man such as Parker. She has zero self confidence. Zero self credit and we don't see her work on that at all. She just went with the flow, the flow being an over six feet tall larger than life man who literally swept her off her feet.
I understand his instant obsession/infatuation but I would have appreciated more delving into their own traits especially hers. His only attraction to her is this unexplainable surreal infatuation but other than her being pretty, I don't get why he's so obsessed.
Also, the way Parker handled Gray, mmmm I wanted her to know who Gray really was, a fuckup who doesn't know what he wants or appreciate what he has, always keeping her as an afterthought rather than be happy that she's finally in college with him. His love was not believable at all.
And I wish she saw that by herself without Parker meddling in it.
Despite all of that I loved the story, loved the plot, adored his unhinged obsession. Loved the "no drama llamas" club 😂. His friends are adorable. And I loved his proposal 💍
And Yes this book is faulty and has flaws but look at me caring 💅
If this is what to expect from C. R. Jane's other books then I'd take her over Rina Kent anyday! Ok scratch that, CR Jane is a master author of reverse harem 🥴 NOTTTT my cup of tea. 🍵 It's a one and done then with her.

I was 1 book away from my reading goal and I extended it because I didn’t want this to be the one that got me the goal.
What a disappointment! This was boring, the characters were all unlikeable. Casey had no personality at all, she was just.. there. Parker didn’t come off as a loveable stalker like the pucking wrong guys he came off as a poser trying to be like his brother and his friends and he failed.
The pucking wrong guys were unhinged in some of their methods but you couldn’t help love them anyway and root for them, that didn’t happen here at all. I didn’t like Parker and his 2 best friends weren’t any better, like did they have to all be manwhores? And of course Casey was a virgin 🙄
What was the point of the secret society shit? it was so pointless to the story.
I’m gonna compare again to the pucking series but that series was actually funny, I laughed so many times in every book, the group chats, banter between friends and the antics were so good. This book tried too hard to be funny and it was just giving cringe.
