Reese (23) & Dawson (35) meet when she hides from an awful first date in his tattoo shop. They share a smoldering kiss, but then part ways. Flash forward 3 months and he’s her new boss. A no fraternizing policy has them avoiding any feelings they may have towards each other, but obviously that won't last too long.
A lawyer by day and a tattoo artist by night, Dawson has a ruthless, grumpy attitude going on, but deep down he’s a real sweetheart. The things he does for those he cares about really puts him in the book boyfriend category. You don’t want to get on his bad side, though. He’s one of those billionaires that uses his money for good and not douchy things, too.
Reese is fiercely independent and doesn’t want any handouts. She is working two jobs and using all her spare time studying to get into law school. Her relationship with her grandma, who raised her, was really something special.
With such undeniable chemistry it's hard for them to stay away from each for long. She tried, she really did, but he was relentless in getting her close. They're total opposites in every way, but I liked how Ann weaves Dawson's backstory into Reese's future.
Overall, an enjoyable read. There's a great cast of characters, except for one, there always has to be one that needs a throat punch. I’m sad he didn’t get one. Loved the cameos with Harrison whose story will be told in If You Give a CEO a Chance.

The lawyer romance that will keep you warm this fall season with the palpable chemistry between Reese & Dawson...
I never thought that a cameo of Dawson in Ann's previous books would turn into one of my favorites in this series. And on top of that, one of my favorite lawyer romances that I have read in a while. After Ann released the synopsis, I knew I would fall hard for Dawson. He is ruthless and gets what he wants, whenever he wants. And him being introduced with such a grumpy exterior in the previous books in this series, allured more to wanting to know more about him.
And Reese, oh my sweet hearted and lovable Reese; she took me by surprise as well by how much I sympathized with her and truly found her character beyond endearing with a strong dose of independent resilience. Everything about her from start to finish made me adore her through every page. Her chemistry with Dawson from page one is as well a scorching match. With Dawson's internal struggles to keep his distance from Reese, no matter how much he craves her, makes the story better. And when they finally let their cards out on the table, these two are ones to truly want to read and thoroughly enjoy;

I didn't expect to fall head over heels for Dawson Tate, but this grumpy lawyer with a hidden artistic side completely won me over.
From the first page, I was hooked by the electric tension between Dawson and Reese. Their workplace romance sizzles with witty banter and stolen glances. The author masterfully crafts their relationship, balancing Dawson's brooding nature with Reese's sunny optimism.
What truly sets this book apart is its exploration of identity and passion. Watching Dawson struggle to reconcile his buttoned-up lawyer persona with his love for tattoo artistry was both heart-wrenching and inspiring. The scenes where he finally embraces his ink-stained fingers alongside his crisp suits were simply chef's kiss.
The supporting cast deserves a shoutout too. Dawson's found family at the law firm and tattoo parlor brings warmth and humor to the narrative, softening his sharp edges in the most endearing ways.

Dawson is a managing partner at a law firm with a grumpy exterior, but when he meets Reese outside of work and realizes she’s the new paralegal, he softens for her and takes matters into his own hands to see more of her because he just can't get enough.

I do have to say that age gap is prominent in this book, and honestly, the author did a fantastic job portraying both characters' life stages. You’ve got Dawson, a super successful 35-year-old and Reese, a 23-year-old just trying to survive financially, who doesn’t want to be taken care of (meanwhile, I’m over here irl screaming, PLS TAKE CARE OF ME! 😂)
The tension between them is so THICK, and I loved how determined he was while she stayed stubborn. Don’t worry though..once the tension breaks, the spice is so worth it 🔥.

It wasn't entirely bad, but because it's short and fast paced, I found it hard to connect with the MCs or even feel their chemistry. I don't know how to say it, other than it was underwhelming for a huge part. 🫣

We knew Dawson from the previous brothers book, and now it's his turn! He gets smashed with the love bug asap when he meets Reese when she barges into his tattoo shop hiding from a bad date. Sparks fly between them, and they share a kiss, and that's that until they meet again at the office. Both try their hardest to resist the pull.
He bull dozes alot 🤣 which I'm glad Reese says no. The banter between the two was funny. And enjoyable at work and home when he tries to boss her around. He worries that her girl is working 2 jobs and taking classes to be a lawyer. Plus, making sure grandma is taken care of.
Don't worry, not all rainbows they do have drama and tension with a coworker. Who no one likes.
We also get some moments with the last? Brother and his woman.

Tadında, çerezlik bir hikayeydi.

Це мала б бути гарна історія, я очікувала чогось по типу "Black rainbow", яка мені дуже сподобалася, а на ділі вийшло, що вийшло.
Почну з плюсів: адекватні головні герої і максимально здорові стосунки. Ну це все.
Для мене це дуже посередній любовний роман, було нудно не цікаво, іноді я читала по діагоналі, щоб просто дійти до кінця.
Головні герої якісь картонні, а їхні стосунки настільки ідеальні, що аж тошно.
Він - мільярдер, крутий адвокат, працює таємно татуювальником (на безкоштовній основі), турботливий, уважний, цілеспрямований, знає чого хоче, поважає особисті кордони, турбується про бабусю головної героїні, жертвує мільйони в притулки, вміє розмовляти, враховує свої помилки, катається на байку і в минулому був бунтарем. Весь такий ідеальний, що прям куди там.
Вона - працює на двох роботах, одночасно намагаючись вступити на юриста, всюди встигає, допомагає бабусі і живе в будинку, що розвалюється, бо немає ґрошей. Добра, розумна, щира.
Зустрілися якось ці двоє ідеальних людей і почали будувати ідеальні стосунки. Звісно ж в обох була сумна історія, пов'язана з батьками, яка не зламала їх, а зробила сильнішими.
Повторюсь, мені було нудно, я чекала хоча б драми якоїсь, яка трохи встряхне сюжет, а то все занадто солодко. Навіть сцени 18+ не врятували ситуацію: нецікаво, однотипно, з максимально заїждженими фразочками, які трапляються в кожному другому романі. Ніякої оригінальності.

Повторюсь, мені було нудно, я чекала хоча б драми якоїсь, яка трохи встряхне сюжет, а то все занадто солодко. Навіть сцени 18+ не врятували ситуацію: нецікаво, однотипно, з максимально заїждженими фразочками, які трапляються в кожному другому романі. Ніякої оригінальності.

There is just something about 𝑨𝒏𝒏 𝑬𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒐𝒏’𝒔 writing that makes me so happy. Her characters always burrow their way into my heart, literally every time I pick up one of her books. For this being a shorter book, the story and character development was phenomenal!
I was so curious about Dawson’s character from meeting him in, 𝑰𝒇 𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝑮𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒂 𝑩𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒊𝒓𝒆 𝒂 𝑩𝒓𝒊𝒅𝒆. He’s grumpy and ruthless on the outside to everyone except those he’s let into his heart. The man has an actual heart of freaking GOLD. I absolutely loved him and how protective he was over everyone he loves. Him being a secret tattoo artist for those who are recovering from past trauma is just the sweetest thing I’ve ever read.
I loved Reese. She’s tough and willing to do whatever it takes to keep her grandparents house and cover the cost of her grandma’s care facility. Dawson really went all out in his pursuit of her. Every single little thing he did to make her day easier was the freaking sweetest. Dont let all the sweetness fool you! This book was absolutely SPICY! 🔥

I just love this charming series SO much! Ann Einerson writes such charming characters. Her men, usually grumpy but with big hearts, are protective and possessive to just the right amount.
I left for Reese so much and even though her personality is very different from mine, I know how terrifying a new job can be. I also really related to her overwhelming financial state. She's trying to do right by her grandma and it is squeezing all the joy out of her life.
Dawson is a tattooed, grumpy white night. He may be a bit tarnished but his heart is fully intact and he is so caring right from the start. Looking out for her before they barely know one another.
This book read a bit like a Cinderella story and I am absolutely okay with that. That's what I'm looking for in Billionaire Romance anyway. Seeing such a good person like Reese get everything she deserves made my heart feel so full.
I think this was a fun entry to the series and I love that even though this was first announced as a novella, the author just let the whole story come out. It is still a quick read and we get to spend a bit more time with this couple.
The heat was also just the perfect amount. Their chemistry was so good and they sizzled on the page.

I am so excited I got the opportunity to receive the ARC for this book. The book exceeded my expectations and I devoured it in one day. The book is about Dawson and Reese. Dawson is a handsome, grumpy, workaholic lawyer who moonlights as a tattoo artist and Reese is the young, kindhearted paralegal. They have a chance encounter and now they cannot stop thinking about one another. I loved the chemistry between Dawson and Reese and how even though he is a scary grump for everyone else he lets his softer side out for Reese. I can’t wait for Harrison & Fallon story from the glimpses that were provided in this book.

They share an unexpected kiss and when Reese leaves, she never expects to see the man again. But when she starts a new job as a paralegal at a law firm three months later, this man —Dawson Tate— turns out to be her boss. Wielding the tattoo needle is just his part time side business.
A romantic will they/won’t they story starts and we learn a great deal about both main characters. In one sense they’re very different (he’s a billionaire lawyer who keeps people at arm’s length, she’s broke and the epitome of warmth) but their stories also have a lot of overlapping elements. They both grew up without their parents and they both care deeply about the people that raised them instead of their parents. They both also care deeply about helping out the needy and vulnerable people in society.
It’s a fast paced book, which I enjoyed. It’s mostly lighthearted and fun. A quick and easy read.

I loved Reese and Dawson. This book gives you all the feel-good moments. Reese is so sweet, juggling multiple jobs to support her dreams and her grandmother. Dawson may have controlling moments, but they always come from good intentions. The lines this man comes out with and how much he cares about her dreams had me swooning. The beautiful, sentimental moments mentioned in the book, such as the shoes and drawing flowers on them, were just wholesome. The chemistry between Dawson and Reese was brilliant. I also enjoyed that the series follows family members, but this one focused on a family friend. I have to say, I’m excited for Harrison and Fallon’s story. I love Ann’s writing and look forward to reading more in the future.

💭This book is a standalone but still part of the Aspen Grove universe, so if you’re familiar with the series, you’ll know Dawson as the lawyer for the Stafford family. Kind of a reformed bad boy, he grew up in the system and had some run-ins with the wrong side of the law until a lawyer adopted him, and he turned his life around. Now, he’s a successful attorney who secretly does pro-bono tattoo work on the side. He doesn't believe in love because of his past, but that all changes when he meets Reese.
Honestly, Dawson completely captivated me throughout the entire book. This man knows what he wants and goes after it. Sure, he pushes the boundaries sometimes, but the most important thing is he respects Reese and her wishes, and I adore him for that.
And then there’s Reese. My heart just breaks for this bright and sunny girl. She’s been trying to handle her struggles all on her own, and while I admire her determination to not accept help, I love how she eventually allows Dawson to step in. It really shows that leaning on someone doesn’t mean you’re weak.
I can’t get enough of their relationship! Dawson is so thoughtful about the power dynamics between them, and the lengths he goes to ensure they can be together really won me over, it was just perfection. I love it when the MMC actually spends money in a billionaire romance, and he did just that.
✨Ann continues to surprise me with every new release! Even though it’s a shorter book, it’s packed with so much emotion and swoon-worthy moments that I couldn’t put it down. I was giddy, swooned, and even had a good cry with this book. This is no doubt my favorite so far!

This novella is a little bit on the longer side however I ate it up in a few hours & found it to be fast-paced. This book was so cute, sweet & ridiculously charming! It had me laughing, giggling, swooning & even tearing up at some points! I loved it😍
Reese is quirky, determined, intelligent, hardworking & independent, & over time she learns how to stand up for herself. Dawson is a grump & a mystery on the outside, but on the inside he’s a giant softie! He’s kindhearted, loving, generous & thoughtful. Oh, & he’s tatted & rides a motorcycle (meow😼). I thought he’d be put off by his feelings for Reese due to his past, so to watch him be so comfortable & open with them was so beautiful to see!
These two had such a healthy bond. The immediate tension, the way Reese challenged Dawson, the strong pull between them, & their banter created such a great dynamic👏🏼

Dawson and Reese were just what I needed! Dawson is a ruthless lawyer by day, tattoo artist (with hidden tatts) by night. Reese stumbles across his studio while hiding from a bad date. These two have a moment of chemistry, before going their separate ways. So imagine Reese’s shock when she starts as an assistant at a top law firm and realizes the elusive managing lawyer is the man she shared a kiss with months ago!
I enjoyed everything about their connection. Dawson and Reese both have emotional pasts that have shaped who they are, but at their core they are loyal to their loved ones. They may show it in different ways, but you see beyond Dawson’s grumpy demeanor and Reese’s stubbornness after handling her problems alone for most of her adult life. They brought out the best in each other. I was positively giddy at so many protective moments between them, and enjoyed how potent their chemistry was, even months later.
Highly recommend. This series has been great, and I can’t wait for Harrison’s book!

This was so much fun and I just love this series! This is a novella, billionaire, opposites attract, forced proximity, workplace, age gap romance!
After a horrible first date, Reese flees the restaurant and finds a nearby tattoo shop to hide out in. There she runs into the tattoo artist and they end up sharing a quick kiss. Months later she runs into him again, as he’s her new boss at the law firm! Dawson is a lawyer by day and a tattoo artist by night! I loved how into her he was immediately and would treat her any way he could. Such a fun addition to the series, loved their banter and chemistry!

I LOVED this book!! It was short, sweet and spicy! Dawson was phenomenal and used “good girl” like be was born doing it! Reese was so fun and lovable! I couldn’t put it down and is safe to say I definitely recommend it!!

If you've been following me for a while, you'll know how much I adore the Aspen Grove Series, and this novella is no exception! While I was left wanting more of Dawson and Resse (the novella length, of course!), it still delivered the perfect balance of fun and swoon-worthy moments.
Dawson, the tattooed lawyer by day and tattoo artist by night, instantly stole my heart. Resse, an aspiring lawyer working multiple jobs while prepping for her LSATs, was equally relatable and determined to make a difference in the world. Their story begins with a date gone horribly wrong for Resse, which leads to an impulsive kiss with a stranger at a tattoo parlor. Fast forward months later, she discovers that this mystery kisser is none other than her new boss at Thompson and Tate!
Cue all the workplace romance drama! The way Dawson supports Resse, from rearranging her workload to giving everyone bonuses so she can focus on her LSATs (seriously, where do I find a Dawson?!), makes him the ultimate book boyfriend. His balance of professional success and free-spirited side was the perfect combination, and I loved how much he cared for Resse.
And can we talk about Harrison’s cameo?! I won’t spoil it, but it was such a treat, and now I’m counting down the days for his story!
Overall, this novella was a quick, enjoyable read that had me rooting for Dawson and Resse from the start. If you love workplace romances with strong, caring leads and a little sprinkle of fun chaos, this one is for you!
