Listen. This is weird and old and creepy. I love it. I don’t always understand what the point of each story is (not completely sure they did either. Some of them sound like the story you tell a kid that keeps pestering you for one more story so that he will never ask you to tell him a story again. Nevertheless, my kids always want one more. I think Hans Christian Andersen does it better with more Christian influence. But there is a reason these stories have survived through the ages.

Book 14/255 of the Rory Gilmore Reading Challenge
I just read Cinderella! It was great to finally read the original version of the fairytale after growing up watching the Disney movie. There was no “fairy godmother” in the original story which was interesting to see that among other differences that Disney didn’t include. I have read the original version of Rapunzel and well and a major difference from the movie that Cinderella also shares is that it’s much more gory/violent.
