Imagine having the best date ever, only to find out he thought you were someone else.

Blind dates are challenging enough, but when my best friend hijacks my Tinder account and sets me up? On my first night in a foreign city? That’s just asking for trouble.

Especially when the man I find waiting for me leaves me speechless and feeling all kinds of things. Liam is God’s gift to women, and I end up at a hotel having the night of my life.

If only it could have stayed like that.

Our dreamy night takes a dark turn when he sees me at my new job.

Turns out, Liam owns the soccer club that hired me to rehab their star player. And that’s not even my biggest problem.

Here's the Liam thinks I'm an escort, not a doctor.

Why? Because that’s who he was supposed to be on a date with last night, not me.

Now he sees me as a threat to his club's reputation. Here to… ahem, “service” his player in ways that would revoke my right to practice medicine.

Liam’s demanding, bosshole personality is enough to make me want to quit. But I won’t. I’ve got something to prove. And he’s got a lesson to learn.

I just don’t know how I’m going to work under him without ending up 'under him'.

If you like romcoms with a sassy, strong FMC and an alpha, billionaire MMC, packed with lots of banter and dirty talk, you’ll love Boss Abroad.

4.75 stars!

A billionaire workplace romance that delivers all the uniqueness and heat in a spine tingling way. Rachel’s debut novel Boss Abroad was such a pleasant surprise in many ways and I was here for every second of it.

April, a distinguished surgeon travels with a famous patient to monitor his progress and crosses paths with Liam, a domineering billionaire in the best and funniest way. From their first meeting to their epilogue, what ensues is the most delicious push and pull and chemistry. The banter between these two big personalities is top notch humor laced with the type of sexual tension that will have you blushing and begging for their explosive intimate moments.

April was a hard nut to crack but Liam knew just how to nurture her. He was a man that never expected an attraction and obsession for a woman but April blew all his reservations out of the window. This man? He may have been dominant in the bedroom and pushed April to the edge of pleasurable ecstasy but outside of the bedroom he was her biggest cheerleader. And I LOVED that dynamic. His filthy mouth had me swooning and I found him to be such a real character that knew when to push and when to step back.

Liam was the perfect man for April because she needed someone willing to meet her in the middle. She needed someone that allowed her submissive side in the bedroom but fed her dominance in the work arena. She was feminine and graceful but also took no crap from anyone. April was playful yet serious and I adored the way she let Liam be her safe place to be whoever she wanted to be.

For a debut novel, this was amazing. I think Rachel not only wrote an engaging story but a romance that had all the elements to create a couple that complimented each other in all the ways that matter.

“Your little body somehow fits mine, April.” I kiss her longer now. “Fits my hands.” I lean on my elbow to palm one of those round, perky tits of hers. “My mouth.” I lick, suck and scrape my teeth on the other one. “My cock...”

Liam and April were spicy through words and actions and I thoroughly enjoyed their road to a HEA. There’s nothing better than an alpha male that’s dominant at the right moments and a heroine that’s both fierce and classy at the same time. What a great story! What a great snippet into what’s coming next as well. I need the next installment like now 😂.

If you like billionaire workplace romances with plenty of steam, banter and a plot that’s hot, YOU have to give this a try. You won’t regret it.

Boss Abroad is Rachel Kellar’s debut novel and tells us Liam and April’s story.

This story is heavy on the spice and light on the plot. That’s not a bad thing if that’s what you’re in the mood for. Liam is your typical alphahole billionaire and perpetual bachelor. He owns the soccer team with an injured star. April is a young, sassy doctor charged with making sure said soccer star can return to the pitch. A case of mistaken identity initially brings Liam and April together.

Liam and April are likable enough, but both could use a bit more character development. Liam’s character is the stereotypical billionaire alpha. April’s character is the sassy FMC with childhood trauma and daddy issues.

While I love spice, I think more time could have been devoted to each character’s backstory and building up the plot. Because they hardly left the bedroom enough to deal with any of their issues, the story and resolution just felt rushed, and the characters lacked depth. I did enjoy the story for what it was: a very spicy read.

Loved this!! I cannot believe this is the author’s debut novel.

The chemistry between April and Liam was absolutely sizzling. Like, ridiculously so. The spicy scenes were so so good. Let me tell you, Liam is a deliciously dirty talker!!

Apart from the sizzle and spice are so many layers of emotions, insecurities, the desire to connect but being afraid of actually doing so. I love banter — and the banter was very, very good— but the dialogue here is excellent. The interactions between April and Liam as they navigate this electric zing they have, the conversations, their thoughts as the chapters switch from one character to another.

It’s all just so good. Is it too early to read it again? Because this I especially getting added to the “revisit often” rotation!

It’s a quick & dirty read that falls short of a higher rating. If you’ve read any of my other reviews you’ll know I’m here for the spicy books- and yet this was so OTT, pages & pages of all the trimmings sex, multiple orgasms & all the holes each & every time that I flicked through it because it was SO much. I got bored of it, it felt like reading a sexual grocery list.

There’s no chemistry between Liam & April because the focus of the writing is on nailing the…. Nailing. Which is a shame because the premise of the their first meeting is fun.

Other bits that grated my enjoyment:
- their characteristics are so cliche. The friends are over bearing.
- he’s always adjusting himself when she’s around. I get it, it’s a quick way to show how constantly turned on by her he is, but it gives me major ick. I don’t wanna be in a space where a guy is constantly rearranging his junk. Do better, he’s a guy in his forties.
- the timeline. The whole storyline can’t extend beyond a fortnight.
- the ending. What in the land of the unrealistic sudden endings was that?!

April was a great FMC, feisty, strong etc but it’s hard to bond with a checkbox of desirable traits. Hot/ Super smart/ advanced in her field/ sexy/ funny/ everyone is in love with her/ gives great head. Remember that thing in the 00’s about the “cool girl”? The one who loved to give head & hang out drinking with the guys, who never wanted to be tied down?…. This is her. It’s hard to be likeable & relate to something so cliched.

Liam is a total billionaire alpha, unable/unwilling to form connections so instead is working his way through London escorts one night at a time. If he sounds familiar it’s because you’ve met a guy just like him in a million other romance books.

I will say it shows promise if next time there’s more actual story around the couple & we can pin down something unique about them.

I love a good smutty book, but with that I also love great character development and plot….so basically I want it all! This book will give you everything you need if you want a super steamy smutty romance. I would have liked the book a lot more if the plot had been more developed. The plot really sucked me in and I wanted to know more! Unfortunately most of the book was spent in the bedroom which is perfect if that’s what you are looking for!

A fun read with tons of spice and laughs. If you're looking for a romcom with smut galore, look no further. The writing style is heart-warming and the banter between all characters is realistic. I was hooked from the very first sentence. If it wasn't for adulting, I would have read this in one sitting.

#BossAbroad debut novel by Rachel Kellar. 😍 👏🏼

What an epic read! All the smut, all the praise, all the sass, all the laughter! 🧎🏻‍♀️Absolute fire! 🔥

I recommend this as a very easy pick up that you won’t regret! ❤️‍🔥

Congrats Rachel, what a fantastic job! So happy to keep seeing all the positive hype for you upon your release. And thank you for spoiling our kindles with Mr Gunn!

Looking forward to reading what you have in store for us across the pond! 👀

🚨 My random bookish thoughts while reading [may include little spoilers] ‼️ …

Wow, is that mistaken identity actually what I think it’s gonna be? Damn that’s one bold bestie move right there! [Update] Thank god that was not the case!

WOW! Holy hell this is hot! Grab me a cup of Liam!

There’s sassy FMC, then there’s April! Her leaving him in his office the next morning brought me so much joy! 🤣

Chapter 14 was bloody amazing, well they’ve all been amazing. I can’t believe this is a debut novel!

Epically funny (but not in a cheesy way) everything so on point and hot as hell!

Oh the praaaiiisseeee! 🙌🏼

So not Mia and Noah but Mia and Preston?? 🤨

Can not wait for more from Rachel! 👏🏼

Who would have guessed that a one-night stand and a mistaken identity could have such life-altering consequences? All thanks to the enigmatic Callie!

This book has quickly become my new obsession. I devoured it in a single day and already feel the urge to reread it. The fast-paced plot, coupled with the captivating characters of Liam and April, kept me hooked from beginning to end. The well-written smut scenes and dramatic elements added depth and intrigue to the story. It's hard to believe this is a debut novel—it's clear that the author has a knack for evoking strong emotions in readers.

The romantic excitement, giggling, and foot-stomping moments were all part of the exhilarating experience. Liam and April's chemistry is undeniable, and their connection is both passionate and intense. If you're curious about this book, I highly recommend giving it a try. The release date is July 25th, so be sure to mark your calendars.

This dual POV age-gap workplace romance was so HOTTTTTT!!!! If you love yourself a strong FMC and a deliciously naughty billionaire MMC, keep reading. (Oh, and you also gotta love a little k!nky seggsy time stuff!)

Boss Abroad gets started with a case of instant attraction mixed with a little mistaken identity. This steamy novel brought in hilarious banter between April & Liam and had me laughing at her strong will and take no $hit from anyone kind of attitude.

This author is a brilliant at making you fall in love and deep, deep LUST with Liam and his grumpy billionaire bad boy self. I’m fanning myself off thinking about how this man can command a bedroom even better than he can a boardroom. In April, Liam has absolutely found the perfect fit…even if she was a little worried at first, wink wink!

Get this book today and let it be one of your SIZZLING summer reads!

Firstly, thank you to Rachel for letting me be part of the ARC team - I have loved reading this and can't wait for everyone else to do the same.

April travels to London to rehab a star football player and ends up on a date with Liam after her best friend hijacks her Tinder account.
After a night to remember, she goes to her new job only to find out he owns the football club. Even worse, he thinks she's an escort, not a doctor, because that's who he was supposed to be meeting.
Where do they go from here?

Yes, there was a touch of cliche at points, but it was subtle enough that the book itself wasn't. The plot was good and left with enough of a cliffhanger to lead into the next one without leaving any loose ends.

And the spice 🥵 Oh my God...

I love, love, love Liam - like I need him to step off the pages into my life! He is snarky, bossy and at times completely unreasonable. The best part so is Alice! After what is (as far as I'm concerned) the funniest, hottest, mistaken identity meet ever Keller's book takes off and never slows down! Liam also manages to gain constant consent and make it look hot and not draw the focus away from the spicy times. Liam want to be exclusive but fights it every single step of the way. Alice has no interest in long term so never considers anything permanent - though it does occasionally pop into her brain. I loved them both, wanted to hit them both (many times - lovingly of course) but finally they get it figured out. The side characters are amazing and need their own stories. Keppers writing creates full, living characters that could walk off the pages and into our lives. There were little to now spelling or grammar issues. If there any they do not detract from the story I would give this book more than 5 stars if I could! Boss Abroad is an 18+, spicy read that never loses the plot.

This book hit every one of the book tropes I throughly enjoy. I knew when I read the blurb I’d enjoy the book but wasn’t expecting to enjoy it as much as I did. I loved the chemistry between April and Liam and loved watching the story develop. The banter between them was amazing and I often found myself smiling like an idiot while reading. And boy was the spice spicing. It start off hard and fast and I loved it. Boss Abroad was a great workplace billionaire romance with a fun alphahole MMC and a sassy headstrong FMC.

High Spice
Billionaire Boss
Age Gap
ONS gone wrong
Possessive MMC
Confident FMC
Mistaken Identity

Firstly, the book starts hilariously with the mistaken identity and the sharp whip from April when she puts people in their place is badass, I love that woman she is fierce. The spice starts early on with a ONS gone wrong and sets the tone for what is to come... Or cum? Take your pick, pun intended!
Liam is a billionaire alphahole used too getting his own way and certainly not used to having anyone question him or out him in his place, especially not a 5'1 fireball who has him by the balls.
So the story, oh yeah, she is a doctor who comes from the US to continue treatment for a start footballer who plays for the team Liam owns. She's only here until he has recovered and has no plans to settle ever let alone for the time she will be in the UK. When she had a blind Tinder date with Liam she thought The book up would be for one night til she sees him the next day and chaos ensues. Tempers fray and she swears she won't sleep with him again as he's her boss but clearly that idea doesn't last long so they settle in using each other in the time they do have.
Liam, at 42, has never had a relationship or more than one night but from almost The moment he met April he knew one night was not going to be enough, he is the first to realise his feelings for her and plans on winning her over before she has to go back.
The banter is funny and the story is fast paced and keeps you hooked, there is no lull or boring parts ending you are a fan of spice then buckle up cos these two deliver in bucket loads.
I am looking forward to book 2 with anticipation, I will defiantly be reading it!

Boss Abroad by Rachel Kellar is a romance book that dives into the lives of Dr. April Hadden and Liam Gunn. April is a young and successful orthopedic surgeon who has created quite a name for herself. However, in order to get to where she is, she had to face a few life changes and reality checks. Life, being filled with lots of twists and turns, finds her moving overseas to provide support and observation to a patient after groundbreaking surgery. But on her first night in a new country, things take a twist that she never expected. Liam is a hotshot owner of a soccer team in London who doesn’t do relationships. He gets his fill how he see best and he doesn’t do repeat encounters with the same woman. So what happens when one coincidence changes your life to something you didn’t expect? April and Liam have to navigate this new desire towards each when they find out that they work together due to a case of misidentification. Can the successful doctor stay away from the grumpy billionaire or will temptation be too much for them? Boss abroad is a great book full with bits of laughter, passion, workplace romance, age-gap, banter, and dirty talk. It is a page-turner that captivated me from the get go and couldn’t put down. Make sure you grab this book and dive into the lives of April, who is a strong FMC and Liam, an alpha MMC as you won’t regret it. And Rachel, you did a great job bringing these characters to life. Truly enjoyed every bit of this book. Enjoy reading

Congratulations Rachel Kellar on your first book, and what a great first book it is!
This book follows April and Liam's Journey. April is a young orthopaedic surgeon from America, she's a feisty go getter, who stands up for what she believes in. She ends up traveling to London to help her star football player patient keep his sponsorships and not play again too soon as he has just had an experimental surgery that April and her mentor created. This is where she meets Liam, her much older boss the club's owner. Liam is charismatic, a typical billionaire who is used to getting his way, Strong, and powerful. After a night of hilarious coincidences lead to them having a "one night stand", Their chemistry is through the roof and they both break all their own rules, to be together. Liam only ever uses escorts and never the same one twice, April, who has trauma from her past also has commitment issues, just can't stay away from each other. This book is full of spice, that is off the charts. I loved that this was a dual pov book. I will continue to follow this author as I cannot wait to see what she has in store for the rest of her characters.

3.5⭐️ rounded up for GR

Boss Abroad was a fun, flirty, feisty, SPICY read. For a debut novel it was good.

April is a young doctor at the very top of her field, Liam is an alphahole billionaire who owns the football (soccer) team that April’s patient (Max) plays for. Max has been injured, has had surgery, but is still under April’s care. Liam’s team wants him back sooner than medically advised, so the compromise is to have Max AND April make the move across the pond to London.

Liam and April meet by accident, in a case of mistaken identity, and have a HOT night together. The next day they realize who they are to each other (professionally) and chaos ensues. But the embarrassment and animosity don’t last long because Liam is used to getting what he wants and he wants April. April, despite her better judgement, and ignoring all her rules set in place for self preservation, gives in to her carnal desires and they agree to “keep things casual” while allowing themselves unfettered access to the other person(‘s body whenever, wherever.)

Heavy on spice, light on conflict, deep plot, or character arc/growth. It does end with an HEA, and a nice set-up for the next couple’s book. Easy, fun read if you’re looking for a fluffy and SPICY getaway.

First book of the year 2025 and it did not disappoint. I wasn’t expecting it to be so good…smutty yes, but surprised by how the story kept me engaged.

I loved the main characters and the secondary characters as well. I’m hoping this will be a series so we can catch up with the other characters from the book.

This was filthy and sweet, definitely a panty soaker.

If I could give it more stars I would.
I saved 42 highlights, y’all.

This was a terrific read from a new-to-me author, and one of my best of the year. I loved how emotionally intelligent and irrepressible April is. Liam “will it fit” Gunn does his billionaire alpha thing and his growing respect for her is his undoing.

The dirty talk is filthy and gorgeous and never cliché, and April and Liam’s chemistry is intense from the very start. By the end, their love scenes are both raunchy and deeply romantic, which is a tough thing to pull off.

What to expect:
—Liam is an unapologetic BDE alpha; the “little girl” talk isn’t constant and seemed to me to be playful (wink wink) and not demeaning.
—April sees him clearly and doesn’t hesitate to push back when he crosses one of her boundaries.
—The author never undermines April’s professionalism. Her sense of herself and fierce protectiveness of her career is so so welcome. You can see why she’s the youngest in her field.
—Found family of the best kind.
—A bestie who is a genuinely hilarious and someone I *must* have more of.
—Millionaire trope without the worst of the clichés. He doesn’t surprise her with a complete wardrobe, for example. He knows her too well.
—The consent is always enthusiastic and always adds to the heat of the scene.
—Did I say it’s funny?

Shorter version of review:
I may have your next favorite book. Especially if you love alpha BDE, books where he’s the match and she’s the fuel, probably the best dirty talk you’ve ever read, characters that can actually articulate how they feel, a FMC who knows who she is and pushes back when he crosses one of her boundaries, secondary characters you MUST have more of, and copious over the top bedroom (car, wall, closet, office) scenes. Highly recommended.

Overall, this story has a great plot line, but could definitely use some more details into aprils background, especially more with her father. I was captivated throughout the entirety and cannot wait to dive into Preston and Mia’s story in the next book!

Synopsis;
This book takes place in London as a young, brilliant doctor travels to care for a football player she just completed a new surgical technique on. On her first day, her never friend sets her up with a tinder date (fun fact, it ends up being the wrong guy!). This leads to a night of wild attraction, only for her to find out the next day, her date is her new boss! But he mistook her as an escort, as he never dates and only uses a service for sex. YIKES
As April traverses her predicament with unyielding attraction to her boss, she has to determine if this is worth risking her job for. As she continues her sexual escapades with her hot boss, Liam, she finds herself falling unexpectedly, even though she has sworn off any commitment.
Liam finds himself just as attracted to April, and doing things he has never done for any other woman before, including exclusivity. He ultimately falls for April despite his attempts to stay away and moves to America to be with her.

I had so much fun reading this one! I didn't expect to laugh so much and I absolutely loved it!

This follows April, a young orthopedic prodigy, who gets brought to England to continue treating a famous athlete. On her first night there she meets Liam on what she thinks is a Tinder date. He mistakes her for a date he hired, she has no clue who he really is. The shock of discovering who they really are the next day leads to some hilarious and steamy encounters.

I really enjoyed all of the great banter between the characters. And not just the main characters, the side characters too.

The fact that, as the reader, you don't immediately know who Liam is, lends to the story really well. I was definitely shocked when that bomb was dropped. Reading as their feelings developed against their will was enjoyable. And even though he seems like a big bad Billionaire, he's secretly a teddy bear when it comes to her. Their chemistry was perfect and the tension between them jumped off the pages. I justin couldn't help falling in love with them.

I loved this story and absolutely can not wait for the next book. I'm got so excited when I saw who the main characters of the next book will be!

I would give a summary but I don’t wanna spoil this adorable story too much! I will say this: He thinks she’s a sex-worker (escort), she’s actually a career driven woman who’s just looking for a one night stand. Soon enough she has him wrapped around her finger and he wants nobody else but her. This is REALLY short because obviously there’s more to the story than just that🩵
🌸
My opinion: After a fantasy book, I always want to read a light book to breeze through and just giggle. That’s exactly what this book is. The spice made me blush, the romance made me giggle, the banter made me laugh- This book was written in a way that makes it easy to read and just RACE through it. It’s filled with AMAAAAZING spice and Rachel definitely isn’t afraid to touch boundaries when it comes to spice and kinks. I like that. Also, April is a career woman who has made a name for herself. I love it when female main characters are independent queens 🎀

The ONLY thing I would say is that I wish there was more. The book was short, which was easy to read. But I hope that in the next book there will be a little more fluff too to balance with the spice. But that wasn’t a big issue obviously, just a little note!
🌸
Over all I rate this book ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!! Can’t wait to read the second book in the series🩵

This book had me from the first line. I love April's character and I feel like sometimes in books like this the FMC kinda loses their fight and they become compliant but April keeps her independent thoughts and knows her worth, which was great when it was bouncing back and forth with Liam who wasn't used to not getting his own way.

I liked Liam too because he also wasn't your typical asshat. He was authoritative and confident but not a d*ckhead.

The banter between the two of them was refreshing, and I just love how they met!

The cast of side characters added more humour and comfort to the story, and they were very likeable.

I read this book so quickly due to the nice short chapters and the dual POV. I love reading books like this from mpov because it give more insight to the characters, so you see them from another perspective and not just how they see themselves.

This was so easy to read, and I can't wait to read book 2

This was a fun unexpected read! It starts a little slow with a classic case of mistaken identity you need to suspend your disbelief for, but quickly turns to pages upon pages of delicious spice, dirty talk and bedroom antics. What I loved most is he falls first and NEITHER of them want a serious relationship (even if our H is jealous, demanding and bossy of her attention). Neither are virgins, the heroine gives as good as she gets. If you read it for anything it’s the scene where she leaves him with his cock out in his office 🥳.

I needed a good pallet cleanser and this definitely fit the bill.
