All I wanted was a gin and tonic, but after an hour in the bar, I end up making out with the bartender like we're teenagers.
The very next day, he proposes a fling.
I’m only in Sapphire Creek to visit my aunt for two weeks. I’m not looking for anything serious, no matter how downright hot and fun Cole Rivers is.
I’m here to escape the pressure of my reality back in the city. I might as well enjoy myself while I “get some distance,” as my overbearing mother puts it.
A fling with Cole is the perfect distance I need.
I was a goner with only the sight of him, so it doesn’t take much thought before I happily accept his proposal.
We have chemistry. Our kisses are electric. The way he owns me with a single touch is sensational.
But as we near our deadline, I wonder if my heart will survive...

Ivy is in need of an escape after she learns her ex-husband is remarrying someone younger. Her mother has set her up to go to her aunt’s in Sapphire Creek, she is very reticent to going, but soon changes her mind. Cole used to be a full time lawyer, and was pretty good at it, until he wasn’t; his heart wasn’t in it. Quitting and working as a bartender wasn’t what his lawyer father wanted for him.
Ivy and Cole’s meeting is funny and the sparks between them are huge. A little misunderstanding starts them off, but soon they are having a fling. And even though they have some rules for said fling and not getting over involved, you can bet there is so much more to explore in their relationship.
This short novella is such a fun and entertaining read, full of quirky characters and small town hard to forget. The main characters bring loads of spice, but also just such good energy. Go read if you want some small town, instant attraction tropes, it doesn’t disappoint!
What a fun story about a southern prim and proper gal who didn't realize that's not who she really is. It takes a divorce and her mother pushing her to visit her Aunt in a small town she spent her Summers in. A lot has changed in the town, just like her.
Her Unexpected Journey to Forever - Ivy’s only plan was to visit her auntie and relax until she started work again, so the last thing on her mind was meeting a man who changed her mindset on what a great relationship should look like. Cole was happy being single after his recent disastrous relationship, but he felt a connection with Ivy from the moment they met, that he was prepared to take a risk. Even though their agreement was meant to be a fling for a couple of weeks, they broke the rules right from the beginning and couldn’t keep their hands off each other.
Unfortunately, just before the end of their agreement, an incident caused them to spend time apart, which made both of them realise they wanted more than a fling. As luck would have it, Ivy and Cole found their way back to each other and embarked on a journey towards a happily ever after. This is a perfect story for a summer vacation, that will surely make your drink by the beach or pool, fell a whole lot better. Grab a copy of this book to read and you won’t regret it.
I received a copy of this book free and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
In the Stuck in Another Body book, Ivy is adorable. Not really, but her mother wants her to be this prim and proper lady. But inside, she's got more to her. When her mother suggests she go to Sapphire Creek or pushes her, Ivy has reservations from the last time she was there. When Ivy stops at a bar to have a drink, she doesn't expect things to go off the rails with bartender Cole Rivers. Cole's life has always been about being a lawyer, and he was good at it until he wasn't. Now he's a bartender and couldn't be happier with how things are going. Until a beauty sits at the bar and has him questioning his sanity. These two agree on just keeping it casual, but sometimes that doesn't always work, and the sparks between them fly higher than the fireworks. When things start to go off the rails, though, can Ivy see that Cole will be there to help hold her up no matter what? I loved this feel-good story of a woman who is just able to finally breathe and be herself.
A sweet, small-town, opposites attract romance that will have you smiling. Who knew a prim and proper Southern girl would fall for the town's bartender and sparks would ignite. Ms. Coffman tells us the story of Ivy, a woman looking for a break and maybe break a few rules, or just maybe let the girl inside come out. A night at a bar finds her going against all the rules she was brought up on and going into the back room with the local bartender, Cole. This led to an agreement of having a fling with an ending date. Can the two of them keep their feeling at bay, or will they surface and be unable to ignore them? Ivy and Cole are made for one another. He let the true Ivy come out, which made her a much happier person. Their love story is one where hearts are full and love brings out the best in people.

The Sight of You was a likeable and quick small town romance read. Cole and Ivy had an instant interest in and attraction to one another that, after a quick misunderstanding, sparked a fun fling whilst Ivy was in town for a few weeks. They had good chemistry and an enjoyable storyline, that within the parameters of its short timeline, flowed well but did feel like things were skipped over. The connection could not be denied and the novella was enjoyable and without a lot of angst or drama. I can’t fault this novella for what it was, it just wasn’t anything more than a 2 star read for me.
She's a good Southern girl who doesn't rock the boat. Her mama now wants to send her to her aunt in a small southern town where she used to go in the summertime. Who knows what this visit will bring? Her first stop when she arrives is the local watering hole and when her eyes find the bartender she remembers nothing else. He used to be a big time lawyer in Atlanta but got tired of the grunge and came back to his hometown. He now works as a bartender much to his father's chagrin. One night this sexy stranger sits at his bar and he has no idea what hits him. She's only in town for two weeks so why not have some fun. A fun start to the Sapphire Creek series.
Ivy is a proper southern gal on her way to visit her aunt in a small town for the remaining time in her summer vacation. Cole is the bartender who waits on her. They both agree to just a summer fling. However, when their fling is cut short they realize there are more feelings there than they both planned. Ivy is ready to leave the life her mother has outlined for her to step into the life she wants and creates. Cole is finally happy after leaving his job as a lawyer. They both come from pre-paved paths and are ready to break free! Will their fling turn into a HEA?
This is a charming short story in Sapphire Creek. Cole is the perfect bartender in the small town. When Ivy stops in on her way to visit her aunt she would have never expected to meet a man like Cole. Their chemistry is off the charts and their story will often leave you with a smile on your face. It’s a perfect story to disappear into for a bit and dream of living in Sapphire Creek with all its charm and small town chatter.
“The sight of her was all it took to know there was something special about her.” The Sight of You was a fun and quirky look into Sapphire Creek. All Ivy Smith wanted was a gin and tonic, what she never expected was the bartender Cole Rivers. Ivy and Cole were completely opposites. Ivy the most prim and proper southern woman around. Cole just a small town bartender.
Thank you @authorgeorgiacoffman for the ARC! Rating:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🔥: “You’re going to kill me, aren’t you, darlin’?”
Such a lovely introduction to Sapphire Creek. The delectable Cole and the ever so slightly uptight (but with good reason) Ivy getting their HEA was a delight to read. The chemistry between these two was pretty hot from the start! There are a few introductions to upcoming and recurring characters too which is always interesting. I’ve read the next couple in this series already and I’m looking forward to more! Highly recommended.
A charming and sweet with just the right amount of heat book that I thoroughly enjoyed. Ivy and Cole are a wonderful couple although she comes across at the start as a bit snooty, but with Cole she blossoms and becomes the best version of herself. Cole is just a dream of a man, although he suggests they have a fling whilst she’s in Sapphire Creek he falls for her and falls hard. Great story line, MCs and surrounding characters.
This was a beautiful and fun short story about coming home and finding your one true love. Cole and Ivy were so cute together and although they both agreed to only having a fling, it soon did develop into something so much more. The story was perfect and the characters were charming, with lots of hot chemistry. A wonderful small town romance.
✨ Review ✨ *** The Sight of You was such a short and fun read. I loved Cole and Ivy. Their chemistry was amazing and their relationship grew into something beautiful. I loved this short novella. The spice was perfect and the story was fast paced. The ending was sweet and romantic. *** Stars: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Romance: 🩷🩷🩷 Spice: 🔥🔥 ***
Such a sweet read that has it all and I devoured it in no time. All Ivy is looking for is maybe an escape even if it’s in the bottom of a drink, the last thing she expects is Cole the bartender to catch her eye. The sparks fly between these two almost instantly, but they set a time limit on this fling of theirs, but when other emotions come into play will they both be able to just walk away? I adored these two together because they brought out the best in each other and it just melted my heart.
With pulsing chemistry, southern charm, and two people looking to have a fresh start, you don’t want to miss out on the Sight of You. With some insta-attraction and a few bumps in the road, the magnetic pull keeps Ivy and Cole circling each other in a whirlwind romance. This short read packs a full size emotional punch that you don’t want to miss!
Oh my lanta! I love Ivy and Cole! A small town guy moves back a year later and a big city girl comes to visit and they fall in love! So heart warning!! Aunt Carol is a hoot! This may be a short book but so much happens! Good read all-around.
This was an amazing story of two people meeting and before long it changes their lives! It starts as a one night stand but soon becomes more! This was a fun storyline! I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
I did enjoy it, but I think it definitely should’ve been a full length novel. There was much more that could be said for these characters to make the big moments feel more impactful.
Another spicy one from Georgia!! I just wanna pack up and move to Sapphire Creek! The men here are on another level and I’m here for them!!! My only complaint is that I want more!!!
