The attacks against me should have sent me running from Moretti Academy, but my stubbornness prevented it. Now the dragon, wolf, and fae were the least of my worries.
A monster had me cornered, threatening everyone I loved, and I had no choice but to bend to his whims alongside the Unnaturals refusing to leave my side. But fighting was pointless when the most important people in my life were being used against me.
I’d do anything possible to protect everyone, even at my expense, but I was way out of my element. We were all captured beasts, and there was no other option but to follow orders even as the guys mercilessly shielded me from the evils confining us.
Worst of all? I didn’t know what I was, yet I feared I was the most horrifying beast of all.
CAPTURED BEASTS is a 103,000 word paranormal romance with love-hate themes. This is an RH novel, meaning the main character will end up with more than one love interest by the end of the series. This is book THREE in the series. Read CW page inside the ebook.
What happened to Elliot? Is he even important anymore? So much time was wasted on sex. Very little plot happened. I still like the FMC, but she needs to stop acting like she doesn't want her guys, like it's been 3 books a whole year, either forgive or move on. So much happened near the end. I'm hoping that the 4th book will pick up.

Sigh… where do I even begin. This series has me saddened because I had so much hope for it in the beginning. The main problem I find with this series is that the plot is constantly being drowned out from the overload of spice scenes thrown in. To the point where a lot of them were unnecessary(for example: they’re currently in a tense scene hiding from people that are hunting after them. Why are they now having loud sexy time when they should be focused on what’s going on).
My advice to the author as purely constructive criticism is that it’s okay to have spice in the book, a little teasing here and there in tension scenes too, but there has to be a balance in order for the readers to immerse themselves in the plot. Coming from someone who loves a good plot twist and spice in a book, I wasn’t able to enjoy the plot from being drained when every chapter was spice scene after spice scene.
I wanted to love this one as much as the others but I think it is definitely suffering from middle book syndrome. I feel like we are reading about a whole new character at this point. I get it, lots of shit happened to her but she has almost become a different character altogether? 🥲
Also kinda wish there was more grovelling haha, like they put her through shit and she seems to just be okay(ish) about it (dang that pesy betraying body! hahaha SMH)? She is only making Beckett suffer at this point 😅 And what happened to Elliot!? I am still assuming he is a part of it... But he is MIA 🙄
I feel like there are also a few unanswered questions... Like why would they go back to the academy after all that? Like it would seem obvious that the Cyrus dude would just replace lukas 🤦🏼♀️ Which means the 4th book will just be a repetition of the 3rd. So I am not exactly rushing to start it like the other few books.
BTW - totally called it from the jump that her sister would betray her haha!!
Okay I cannot be the only person disappointed about the fact that we got three mate bonds in one chapter. I know why it was done that way because otherwise the other two wouldn't have found out but it made it feel rushed and cheap when so much of their relationship has been like pulling teeth. Shocker though it's one reason I again didn't like this book as much as the first. Why are still doing the "but I don't like them I promise" after her behavior? They sleep together, have sex, defend each other and yet she still is "don't speak to me in public" really? I get angst and build up but at this point it has become an annoying personality trait for the FMC. Also we still need the grovel.
Also I struggled with this book because for two books we don't have a ton of plot movement then all of a sudden we are thrown into a massive plot of selling people, her sister is in on everything, and a whole illegal underground.
Maya is one lucky Unnatural. She has the 3 hottest guys at Morretti Academy fighting over her, but it's put a target on her back not only with the other females but also with those in charge. She is forced to go along with the dark things asked of her by Lukas Morretti until her beast finally breaks the bars on the cage she's forced it into and nobody is prepared for the monster that emerges. But the players in the cruel world her guys have tried to protect her from are finally being revealed, and everything she thought she knew is about to crumble to dust. This book has all the spice and some gruesome bloody scenes, so check the trigger warning at the front of the book. It has been a great series so far, so I highly recommend this series in my book groups.
I’m in that weird spot where I’ve now completed more than 50% of the series and it would feel like giving up not to complete it but I’m just so bored.
Don’t get me wrong, this was a decent book but it seems like the author’s attempt to make the plot complex just makes the story drag on unnecessarily.
Things I didn’t like:
I didn’t read any of the « she wolf » chapters and I got the gist of the story… just seemed unnecessary.
Also, it’s the 3rd book, she has 3 mates. Why does she still have these internal monologues about not being able to forgive them when she’s been sexing them all up? There was been no groveling so you don’t even feel bad for the guys.
What happened to that vampire she was hot and heavy with? He just disappeared. And let’s not get started on her sister being a bad guy, who didn’t see that coming?

How not to love this saga? I loved that Tanner finally stopped being a stubborn jerk and stopped walking away from Maya, I loved that he finally put his bitch of a sister in her place and I loved that even though he loved Claudia he put Maya first.
The forest scene 😍. The 3 of them finally realizing they were mates and fighting over her was the funniest and most tense thing in the book. I loved how Maya did NOT immediately forgive the boys and kept putting them in their place. I loved how much they cared about her and I loved when Maya's changed form was finally shown. It was wonderful. I want to continue the saga, but I'm waiting for the last book to come out, because it hooked me from beginning to end and I want to finish the saga with book 4 and 5 in a row.
This was good, but all the back and forth gets so tiring.. One minute she wants them, then next minute she's doesn't, and within the same page! The guys are all assholes, and I really don't like any of them. And just about every female is an absolute nightmare, and treats her terribly, but she seems unable to stand up to them. It gets really old.. I'm glad we finally know what she is though. It's the only time I've actually really liked her, and we're seeing what she's capable of. Hope there's more of that!
I started with her stand-alone RH, which was great, and now this series... Awesome!
We are finally getting some place with Maya's power, and I want her to get revenge on EVERYONE (Rita, i'm looking at you), cause she deserves it. I wanted a bit more grovelling from the men, but at least the power shifted and Maya is the new boss around.
I am loving the character development with Maya and Enzo in this book! She has turned into a little baddie and I am here for it. Once again, the cliffhanger pissed me off, and I’m left more confused than ever. Wtf happened to Elliot? I was sure that he was going to be in the harem. Maybe with Enzo out of the picture for the time being, it’ll give him the opportunity to shine though, so fingers crossed!

A twist I did not see coming! I can’t believe that ending. I loved seeing the relationship between Maya and Tanner finally grow into something more. At this point in the series you can definitely see why these characters acted the way they did and I would be okay with Maya forgiving them (not Andrea)
Wow. This is a great story. We finally get some answers in this book - learning the truth about Maya’s designation and just who the guys are to her. It’s a pretty brutal story - definitely not one for anyone with triggers. Can’t write any more though - I have to go rescue them all from that cliffhanger!
Not unpredictable, but still a fun ride. The Gala scene was wild. I was expecting some flavor of what happened in the last chapter, but I’m looking forward to seeing how that plays out.
Also waiting for some kind of update with Lucien. And maybe Maya’s dad. That could be fun.
Wow, the harem has finally gained some traction and the spice level has risen. So much happens in these books, with twists and betrayal galore. Brilliantly written, I can't wait for the next one!
I loved this series so much that I didn't want it to end. I fell in love with the characters. Strong female and the guys were just awesome. The bullying was bad in the beginning but they did redeem themselves.
Book 3 continues to suck you into the story. Brings out the feels while keeping you entertained and engaged. I really like the characters and can’t wait to see where it goes next!
This was a great installment, with lots of angst, spice, and some laugh out loud humour as Maya discovers who her mates are and they all have to try to learn to get along whilst under Lukas' thumb.
This book was phenomenal! I honestly do not want this series to end! I have a feeling that it's about to get so much worse. Great writing and characters, especially Maya. This book shows the characters slowly learning to trust and forgive while learning more about themselves and each other.
Loved this book. They keep getting better and better. Poor Maya just can't catch a break. I loved everything about this book. I am going straight to the next one. There's a good cliffhanger that I did not see coming.
This is a good series so far, lots of twists and turns that you aren’t expecting, although the FMC might be beginning to grate a little. Will continue reading and see!
