USA Today Bestselling Author brings you romcom drama full of heat, hockey and laughs.
I'm eight years into my professional hockey career when I come face to face with my one-night stand from my rookie season. Her auburn hair and full body makes me crave a second helping. Hell, maybe even a five course meal.
But right now, I have a daughter that was dropped off at my door. She won't speak to me and I have no idea how to raise a child, much less a girl.
So, as much as I want to tell the ruby haired vixen that I remember who she is and that night is never far from my mind, I can't. She's my new teammate's sister and the woman that volunteers to be my new little girl's nanny.
This is a complete standalone in the multi-author series Hockey USA

SPICY AND SWEET!! Bryce is total cinnamon roll book boyfriend!! This book was so so so good!! Bryce and Emmaline were so perfect together!! I love brother's teammate/little sister romance cause there's always that one line from the brother.."my sister is off limit to teammates". It's like a challenge to see who can get his sister lol. Not in this book though cause Bryce and Emmaline have a night of passion before she knows what he does. What I lovEmmaline and her brother have been hurt by two people who they thought loved them, they were betrayed in the worse way. Despite the one night of passion that Emmaline had, these two are closed off to dating. Bryce has some past trauma as well and found out he's a dad to a adorable 5 yr old. She was not dropped off the best and needs to be eased into this situation. The author showed the emotions for Bryce perfectly. He was frustrated but patient with her. He used blinking to communicate and got the best nanny and kids to be around her. The journey he goes thru to have a bond and get the girl was so great! This book was so much fun to read with characters you will absolutely love as well. They have so much love for each other.
I absolutely adored Bryce and Emmaline’s heartwarming story and devoured it in a single day. Their journey begins with a one night stand eight years ago, after which they lost touch until fate brings them back together. When Bryce suddenly finds himself navigating parenthood, he’s desperate for a nanny. Enter Emmaline, who steps in to help at the request of her brother, Bryce’s teammate. Their undeniable chemistry resurfaces instantly, sparking an electric connection that neither can ignore. Though they have plenty of reasons to keep their distance, none prove strong enough to outweigh their growing bond. If you’re craving a sweet yet spicy hockey romance, this book is a must read!
Damn hockey romance is where it is AT!!!! These two had us hooked from chapter one! Bryce learning he has a 5 year old and reading his journey on becoming a dad was fun and amazing! Now, the back and forth banter between Bryce and Emmaline was SEXY and HILARIOUS!!! The way she shows up Jolie was also very heart warming! All around a really good read and we would highly recommend!!!
Bryce is swoon worthy. I mean super swoon. The only reason I’m forgiving Emmaline is for his sake. And Jolie, she made this story better than good. The way Bryce is with her, he just melts the heart.
I absolutely love single dad romances but make him a hockey star as well and I am a goner. This book was amazing and I cannot wait to read the next one. One of my favorite things about Kristin’s books is how we get to see characters from her books in the new ones. If you like single dad, he falls first and harder, and brother teammate then you need to read this book.
Absolutely lived this book. I definitely need to read the rest of this series. Love Bryce and Emmiline's story! Bryce becomes an instant father . As a professional hockey player he needs someone to help with his daughter while he is working. When former rival turned teammates gets his sister to help babysit. Bryce recognizes her. His one night stand from sever years before. Can they overcome all the obstacles in their way to find happiness and a family?
Super funny book with a great storyline!! I'm so happy with the way things worked out!! I loved that Bryce was so into showing Emmaline how perfect she was!
Emmaline “Rusti” Rustavelli was all set to marry small John Grant, and her maid of honor must have decided to do the nasty the night before the wedding. Talk about the ultimate betrayal. Then he says when she questions which of her bridal party, “Emmaline, I do love you. We’re just not compatible sexually. I can’t be what you want.” But she is soon standing in front of him in a corset with my boobs popping out the top, a garter belt, and a thin strip of lace. He swallows, and lust shadows his eyes. But he doesn't want her.
The a-hole dares to look at her with lust-filled eyes as he is saying it. He was always telling her they couldn’t do certain things sexually because of her body size, but as the story progresses, you find out it's because his Johnson is far too small. Yet his gaze says the opposite about his claim about her size not being what he needs. Her brother Roman is a professional hockey player, and Grant was his best friend and agent but not any longer. Now my brother is beyond angry, and she is just trying to lay low where Roman wants to lay low, and Roman has obligations and wants Rusti to go with him.
We’re a year apart—Irish twins. Our parents are still madly in love. Roman has been dating Penelope since his freshman year of college, and they’re getting married at the end of the hockey season. Rusti thought she had found the love of her life. Now she’s not sure if Grant ever loved her. Grant must have been taking the easy path where he got to hang out with his best friend all the time, even double dating. He must be hurting too. When Grant called off the wedding and told Rusti he didn’t love her, he knew he would lose Roman in the process. Yet it was still worth it to him to let them go rather than be in a loveless marriage.
When Roman’s anger subsides, he’ll be grieving the loss of his best friend. She didn't deserve this. Until then she was heading to Atlanta because Roman had a game against the Jets, and since Penelope had to travel for work, Roman figured she could cry in Atlanta as easily as she could at home.
Present day:
Roman is now in Atlanta. He goes with his teammates to go dancing and meets with the guys. Not knowing the one guy who chaps his hide is the one who rocked his sister’s world, or should I say, they curled each other's toes. They are at a nightclub so Bryce Wynward can have a few drinks in remembrance. Of his brother who passed away. And the survivor's guilt he carried. When surprised, a blast from his not-so-pleasant past comes calling, wanting to talk. Tells him he has a daughter, age six, and in a week she would be dropping her off; she needed to leave the country with her husband. DNA confirmed Jolie is his daughter.
When he needed someone to watch her, it was Roman who brought up his sister to watch her. Lives are about to get interesting. So much fun in this one, and tears involved in it too. Because it's Rusti who watches his daughter, and they bond very fast. Sweet, sexy story.
Love gets a second chance. Emmaline was dumped on her wedding day eight years ago. She thought it would break her. But a week later, she went with her brother to one of his away games, and she went out dancing after. She met a guy that she really connected with, and he made her realize that she was better off without the cheating ex. Bryce is the captain of the Georgia Jets hockey team. He's more than surprised when a former fling tells him he has a five year old daughter, Jolie. Worse yet, the woman drops her with him and bolts. Out of the country. And the little girl won't even talk to him. Can't blame her, since he's a complete stranger. But he has obligations to his team, and without someone to help him, he'll be sunk. His new teammate's sister, Emmaline, just moved to the area, and she's a child counselor. She helps out watching Jolie at a game, and he feels a weird connection to her. She's got a ball cap on, so he can't really see her face. But it doesn't matter. A teammate's sister is off limits. Bryce sees Emmaline again at the school he's looking at for his Jolie, and this time he recognizes her. She's the woman who ran out on him eight years ago after the best night of his life. He's never been able to forget her. She gave him a fake name that night, but he's sure it's her. And from the look in her eyes, she knows it too. But she's still his teammate's sister. And not just a teammate. A former rival who still doesn't like him that much. Even so, he still needs her help. He can't take care of his daughter by himself. He wouldn't know where to start. But Jolie just loves Emmaline, and the feeling is mutual. So he hires Emmaline as her nanny. Sweet torture, but worth it if she can Jolie to open up. As he watches Emmaline with Jolie, he can't help but feel like she belongs with them. And they can't deny how well they fit. But she doesn't want to tell her brother. She knows he won't react well. And Bryce won't be anyone's secret. He's afraid she'll choose her brother over him. How can he convince her to take a risk on him? Oh, they're so good together, and the chemistry is off the charts. Emmaline has a supportive family, and that's important to her. That's why she moved to be close to her brother. Bryce is all alone and dealing with crushing guilt from a past accident. Having a daughter forces him to see things differently, and he steps up to fulfill his new role. This was a good story, with a lot of growth and moving on. There were also plenty of meddling friends and teammates, a bunch of cute kids, and a bit of sibling drama. It was a lot of fun, and I can't wait to get to know more of the friends and teammates in this series!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I don't know, man. I couldn't get into this one. Some of it was the writing -- the phrasing just struck me as off . So maybe that's just me. Could have been the mood.
We open when Emmaline gets dumped at the altar. By her total douchecanoe player fiancee, who she did not realize was sleeping with one of her bridesmaids. Her maid of honor to be exact. Ummmmmmm.....
Then eventually, we find out that douchecanoe banged her sister in law. That results in her brother (Roman) divorcing and everyone being down on love.
So then Roman and Emmaline go away together. I mean, they went away together after the wedding fiasco. And that's how Emmaline meets Roman's arch nemesis and has a one night stand with him. So many things to unpack. Why would Roman leave her alone at a bar? If her brother is so protective, why wouldn't he notice that she goes from bummersville to okay-ish? Why -- 8 years later -- is he still protective of his sister to the point where he feels like he can tell her who to date? Why did they move to the same city? I mean, I like a protective alpha. But this weird brother dyanamic is a little fetish-ist for me.
Cue Bryce's issues: he has a secret daughter. His cardboard cut-out of an ex -- who probably doubles as a Disney evil queen, that's how awful and weirdly controlling and ignoring of her daughter she is -- drops her off at his doorstep with no warning.
So Bryce, who clearly doesn't know a damn thing about kids because he literally doesn't even install his carseat and then forgets about her and starts going for a run, then remembers her and jets home, then leaves her alone in a bathtub, has to become a dad overnight. Emmaline happens to be a counselor and work at the school where his daughter is enrolled. So she ends up babysitting for him and generally saving his ass.
Let's be clear: Bryce says he loves his daughter. Even though he's an idiot who doesn't even muster his considerable resources (18mil a year!) to even hire a nanny or someone to install a freaking car seat. He doesn't even google bath time. Guy has zero common sense. Like he was hatched. Even though one of his closest friends has like 18 kids.
Enough. I'm tired. I know kids are hard to write and I know that secret baby is a tough one. I generally don't read them, but I thought this would be sweet and fun. But Emmaline strips to a corset the day of her wedding as her ex is dumping her for no good reason, then her brother and dad show up and get her out of there. Did she get dressed? Yes. Did she stay like that and sob all over them while wearing lingerie? Probably. That's the sort of ick I'm talking about here.
Everything I love about a Sports Single Dad Romance and More.
I love a hero who changes as soon as he meets ‘the one'. It's everything that romance books are made of and even better when ‘the one' initially slipped through his grasp and our man spends intervening years thinking about her, either trying to find her, or be with so many others in an effort to get over her.
Throw in the single parent trope with an adorable previously unknown almost 6-year-old-daughter, mash it up with a sports background and when it's Author Kristin Lee writing, you're onto a winner. HAT TRICK HOLIDATE is most certainly that winner in my opinion and probably up there as one of my favourites from her.
Bryce meets his daughter around the same time he bumps into his new team mate’s sister. The team mate is not a fan of his new home team, nor of Bryce, and carries baggage. This adds the forbidden trope to the mix raising the stakes somewhat and sounds like a lot going on, but in the best possible way, Ms Lee makes it work.
What I loved most was seeing Bryce's relationship with his daughter blossom as she slowly comes out of her shell after arriving on his doorstep, withdrawn and silent. Not only was he immediately in love with his young daughter, but seeing ‘Rusti' again absolutely knocked his skates off. This was now a man who knew what he wanted, was honest about it, yet hid a huge vulnerability behind his cheeky smile and smart quips.
HAT TRICK HOLIDATE was beautifully and realistically written. While the chemistry between Bryce and Emmaline or ‘Rusti' was hot as all hell, their friendship around taking care of Jolie first developed slowly and solidly – until temptation won out. Jolie completely stole my heart and attention and I was impressed with the care Ms Lee took of her character.
As with all of Ms Lee's books, they stand-a-lone but have a bevy of much-loved back characters and I adored seeing them succeeding in their careers and family lives. It perfectly rounds out the entire book experience because no one in life exists in a vacuum, and even better when our favourite characters have a full background going on.
This is what makes a really good read into a totally great one meaning HAT TRICK HOLIDATE is easy to highly recommend and deserves every one of it's 5-Stars ✨️ 💙❤️✦
Emmaline is only a few minutes away from getting married when her fiance, Grant, knocks on the door... to tell her he can't marry her. That he didn't realize, until sleeping with her best friend the night before, that although he loved her... he wasn't 'in love' with her.
Grant, her brother's best friend... and agent.
Roman snuck her out of the church as their parents apologized to the wedding guests. Not wanting to leave her alone he invited her to come on his hockey team's road trip. Atlanta was a long way from California and just what she needed. Space.
Eight years have gone by and Emmaline is moving to Atlanta. He has been traded to the Atlanta Jets and after his divorce a few months before she needed to be there to support him. Especially after they found out that his ex-wife had been having an affair with her ex-fiance.
I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. Emmaline and Bryce's story is intertwined with characters from the Campus Stallions series with a story timeline difference of eight years adding children to their continued stories.
Emmaline had traveled with her brother to his game, but when the team had a required meeting after the game she hit the bar alone. She danced the night away in the arms of a stranger... leaving quietly the next morning without exchanging names.
Bryce just found out that he had a daughter when this five-year-old daughter was literally dropped on his doorstep. He needed a nanny - now!
This book is action-packed and smoking hot. This second-chance romance may derail before it has a chance as Emmaline knows how her brother will handle her dating a teammate especially one who has been rivals most of their careers. Will she choose her brother over her own happiness?
I love Kristin Lee's sports romances and each new book is my favorite, but this one is truly my favorite lol. I love how she merges longtime friendships in this story and how the characters from the Campus Stallions series are now married and with growing children. Highly recommend!
It is definitely worth reading All Your Fault, On My Knees, On Icy Ground and Out of Bounds first as the book will make "more sense" to you. They are also a brilliant read, you won't regret it.
Emmaline moves to be with her Brother Roman who has moved to play Ice Hockey with a new team. He has had a very rough year and she wants to be there for him.
Eight years ago her life was turned upside down by her Fiance Grant who then proceeded to turn her Brother Romans life upside down this year. Not the best Friend he thought he was!
She had her One and Only One Night stand 8 years ago, a night she still hasn't forgotten with a Guy who rocked her whole world that night. As it turns out the Guy in question Bryce plays Ice Hockey with the Team her Brother has moved too. A fact that never came up the night that they both can't forget. She gave her name as Rusti to Bryce that night and neither of them exchanged any details.
He has been on the look out for her for the last 8 years and can't believe it when he meets her again.
The Whole, Sisters are off limits comes in to question straight away. Roman warns all of his Team mates but it's something that Bryce finds very hard to keep away from. He has never been able to forget about that night and no one else has ever come near it with him.
Then there is the matter of one of his one night stands turning up and dropping off a Daughter that he never knew existed at his door step and taking off without giving him any information about Jolie. He gets left in limbo and needs the help of Emmaline which only brings them closer together.
I won't say anymore, but it is just a fantastic read. Loved catching up with the other couples and their lives in it and loved how it turned out.

This book is perfect for fans of heartwarming yet steamy hockey romances, complete with a single dad, a determined heroine, and a love story that will melt your heart.
Emmaline was set to get married and on her wedding day her fiance backed out and she found out he had been cheating on her. So she went out to a bar and met a guy and they had a great night together but no real names or phone numbers were exchanged.
Eight years later--Bryce Wynward is captain of the Georgia Jets hockey team. His ex shows up at his home and tells him he has a 5 yr old little girl "Jolie" and leaves her with him. She isn't speaking and he has no clue what to do.

Things change when she starts nannying for him and they grow closer. But will he cross that line with her and risk his teammates' wrath?
4.5 stars Great story, I really enjoyed it! Looking forward to Corbin's story.
“Hat Trick Holidate” is the third book in the “The Hockey USA Romance Collection.” Eight years ago Bryce and Emmaline had a one night stand, neither ever forget that night. They have never seen each other again until fate intervene’s. Emmaline’s brother Roman is traded to the Georgia Jets where Bryce is the team captain.
“I saw this fiery redhead across the floor. Her hips swayed hypnotically from side to side. The rhythmic waves of the strobe lights outlined her hair as it swung. Her hands were above her head, and she looked like a fantasy goddess set ablaze. Damn, that was quite a night. I don’t remember many one-night stands, especially one so many years ago, but this one was different ….”
Overnight, Bryce becomes a father to five year old Jolie, a daughter he new nothing about, until now …. Emmaline steps into help him out and falls for both of them! The issue is her brother who is extremely overprotective! Roman will not react well to her being in a relationship with Bryce, so they keep it quiet to see how everything goes between them. The more time they spend together, the more she wants to have a future and a life with Bryce. “Suddenly, everything feels like a dream, like I’m finally waking up next to the man I’ve been craving since that night, eight years ago. But it’s not a dream; it’s happening.” The story is beautiful, a love story for the ages. You will laugh, you will cry, you will get frustrated, you will even get angry at times but most of all, you will hoping that everything will work out for them! I have also enjoyed this book being entwined with the “Campus Stallions series” - catching up with all our favourites!
Once I started reading, I could not put this book down! This book will charm “the pants off you” and leave you going back for more. I thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful love story. You cannot help yourself, you will fall in love with Bryce and Emmaline 💞 From page to page, chapter to chapter, from cover to cover - you will enjoy this beautiful story! This book will not disappoint! Highly recommended 😊
- Hockey romance - Second chance - He falls first - Single father - Brother's teammate
After being left at the altar by her unfaithful fiance, Emmaline goes on a trip with her brother and meets a handsome man. She lets herself have fun as "Rusti", sharing an amazing experience with Bryce.
Now, 8 years later, Bryce still thinks of the redheaded beauty that left him wanting more.
However, when a former fling (who is married to another hockey player now) surprises him by telling him he's the father of her 5 year old daughter, Bryce isn't sure what to do. The mother basically leaves her daughter with someone unknown. I find that mother to be deplorable. But Bryce really wants to do the right thing.
So when he finds out his new teammate's sister is a children's counsellor, he asks her to help him connect with his daughter Jolie. And then he realizes she's "Rusti". And off limits due to her brother being on his team.....
But their chemistry and Emmaline's connection with Jolie have Bryce thinking of the family he never realized he needed in his life. *insert sigh and pearl clutching*
This is a sweet and spicy book that had me all in my feels.
Wow! I absolutely loved this story! There’s a lot of heartache in this book for multiple characters, but there’s so much love, too! While my heart broke for Emmaline with what Grant did to her, it was a blessing in disguise that somehow led to her finding Bryce and having an unforgettable night with him. As rough as what Emmaline went through, it was a cake walk compared to Bryce’s past. His story was truly heartbreaking! His newly discovered daughter was another unexpected surprise! I was surprised and ecstatic at how quickly he stepped up to make sure that Jolie was always cared for. Bryce and Emmaline face some difficult challenges on their path to happiness. Roman was by far the biggest issue. On one hand I was irritated by his reaction to finding out about his sister and teammate. On the other, he was being a protective big brother who was just trying to keep his sister safe. Bryce, Emmaline, and Jolie make a beautiful family!!! I’m hoping there’ll be more books about the Jets or some of their friends! I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest opinion.
Kristin Lee never fails to amaze me with the stories she brings to life. I absolutely loved every second of this book! 🏒💙
Bryce isn’t as grumpy as most people think, although he has a little past trauma of his own, he doesn’t let that keep him from getting what he wants. Just wait until you see how he is around those he cares for, total cinnamon roll… and hot lol 🥰🥵
Emmaline is a fire force that has a little low self esteem (she has her reasons behind it) but when she realizes she’s worth it all, how she blossoms. I love her growth in confidence with herself and in what she wants.
But Jolie?! I think Jolie was the real star here. The young daughter of the star hockey player that shows up on his doorstep. Automatically has everyone wrapped around her fingers. She instantly makes friends with Reed Bauer Cross’ family (he’s the star hockey player in On Icy Ground from the Campus Stallions series) Not to mention the huge progression in talking and opening up she makes during the storyline is amazing and emotional 🥹
I can’t wait to read more of this series and maybe see more of this little family 💙🏒
I love Kristin Lee’s books because she always works in appearances by beloved characters from previous books and series, but her books still can standalone. I don’t recall Bryce from previous books, but he was a memorable male lead character in this book.
Finding out he had a five year old daughter and that he wading going to have to assume full care and custody of her with little warning was a shock for the professional hockey player, but he dove into his daddy role. His shock at finding out his new teammate’s sister was the one night stand from 8 years ago he never forgot added some extra entertainment to this story.
Both Emmaline and Bryce had emotional baggage to deal with, but both of them were pretty cooperative and supportive of each other. Bryce wasn’t thrilled with being kept a secret from Emmaline’s brother his teammate and former nemesis, but he made an attempt at being patient.
Overall, for me this was a great chance to enjoy a new couple and to catch up with the lives of Reed/Brooke and Lettie/Dane.
I’m already eager for the next book!

Hat Trick Holidate is the perfect blend of spice, swoon, and second chances, with a hockey twist that makes it impossible not to fall in love. Kristin Lee delivers a heart-melting story that’s as emotionally rich as it is sizzling hot. From the moment the single dad hero re-enters the picture to the slow unraveling of their magnetic connection, I was hooked.
The characters are layered and real, flawed, funny, and full of heart. The chemistry? Off the charts. The emotional beats? Nailed it. And the banter? Witty and delicious. Kristin has this incredible way of making you feel like you're right there in the moment, whether it's a quiet, vulnerable scene or a laugh-out-loud one.
If you're looking for a romance with depth, heat, and a hero who’s equal parts rugged and soft-hearted (plus a dash of holiday magic), this is it. This book deserves to be read, talked about, and raved over. Kristin Lee is one to watch in the romance world, because wow, she gets it.
"Christmas Eve will forever be referred to as my Hat Trick Holidate"
Emmalines fiance believes that the best time to break off their marriage is shortly before they walk down the aisle. Heartbroken and devastated she finds solace by spending time with her brother.
On a night out, she meets a man, finds herself spending a pleasure fulled night with him with the belief she will never see him again.
Fast forward 8 years, she has followed her brother to a new city as he has been traded to a dofferent NHL team. She soon realizes that her brothers new teammate is none other than her one night stand Bryce Wynward.
Bryces life has been turned upside down when one of his previous partners shows up with a daughter that's been proven as his. Jolie is thrust into Bryces life while her mother jets off to who knows where. Jolie doesn't speak, which makes getting to know her and help her transition, difficult.
With the help of Emmaline, Bryce is able to bridge the gap between himself and his little girl and get her to finally speak.
These two battle through not only a new relationship but also getting to know a child as well as the struggles of their trauma from their past. The author does an amazing job at making you fall in love with these characters. I did find it hard to keep some of the side characters straight, but it didn't affect the overall story.

Emmaline and Bryce's story is stunning! Emmaline suffers such heartbreak, but finds herself again through Bryce, although she doesn't know who Bryce is until 8 years later. Add in the complication of Jolie, and it's a perfect storm for Bryce and Emmaline to reconnect, and discover whether their initial intense connection is still as intense, and whether it is a lasting connection.
I loved how the stable environment of Bryce and Emmaline truly helped Jolie - this was my favourite part of the story!
I also loved Bryce and Emmaline's connection, and I loved how Bryce went about winning over Emmaline's brother to his side, and showed Emmaline how important she was to him in the same way. It was SUPER sweet.
A truly fun, passionate read that is fabulous for the Christmas period!

Emmaline and Bryce—they originally meet in a bar the week after her fiancé called of the wedding on the actual day and had the most amazing one-night stand. She used a fake name—Rusti—and they didn’t exchange any info. Eight years later, she moves to his town because her brother just got traded to Bryce’s hockey team. When he needs someone to watch Jolie, the daughter he didn’t know he had until her mother abandoned her to him, and Emmaline’s brother suggests her since she works with children. She ends up being Jolie’s nanny and the fire between them rages on. But her brother hates Bryce and doesn’t want her involved with any hockey player, so they don’t tell him they’re seeing each other. They have some obstacles and separations, but in the end, they find their HEA. This book needs editing in a huge way. The story is great and the characters are pretty well-developed overall, but some sentences just don’t make sense.

"All the feels... spicy, swoony and did I say swoony?" Kristin wrote another amazing book, Hat, Trick, holidays follows Bryce & Emmaline. Bryce is a hockey playe, single father and can't get a fiery red head women, curvy woman out of his mind. 8 years later he meets Emmaline his team mates sister a curvy, fierce woman but that has gone through some hard times and is trying to stay away from falling in love. Reading this book you may or may not read some familiar friends 😉 what I love about kristin's book you feel like you are in these books and are living through the story, she killed it again with this book I loved the connection to the other books but also had its own story with Bryce & Emmaline.
My favorite quote “ As I hold her close, I know that she is my everything, my home, and my heart.” The swoon 😍 Thank you so much Kristin for allowing me to arc the book!
Hat Trick Holidate is part of the multi-authored series Hockey USA. This was a steamy, second-chance romance. Bryce is a hunky hockey player who's just inherited a daughter when his ex drops her off. Jolie is adorable but not speaking. Emmaline is the sister of Bryce's teammate Roman and is a child therapist. He asks his sister to help nanny for Bryce given Jolie's issues. But little does he know, these two had a hot one night stand 8 years ago that they never forgot. Emmaline didn't know what he did. Now, Emmaline and her brother are both jaded to love after being screwed over by her ex in more ways than one. But Bryce is determined to win her back and show her that he is all in. I adored Bryce. He was such a golden retriever. Watching his relationship with Jolie develop was so sweet. And I loved the slow burn friendship between this couple that finally just combusted. Their chemistry was hot, and the ending was so happy, but this was quite the emotional roller-coaster ride. I loved it!!.
