I enjoyed this book because it wasn't bogged down with too much detail and description. The writing style was simplistic with a fluid flow. The pace was well balanced with the length of the book and I was impressed with how the author still managed to build a variety of characters in a relatively short book. I really like sci fi but am not a die hard fan preferring fantasy. Allot of hard core sci fi fans will probably say the author should have given more insight into the Kilvertians, their planet and history but I thought there was enough
detail for the plot of the book. The ending was satisfying also.
