Drama! Intrigue! And Some Really Bad People!!

This series just keeps getting better! But I would expect nothing less from one of my very favorite authors. There was definitely more going on in book 5 than in previous editions of this very entertaining series. A large farm corporation owned and operated by some very unscrupulous individuals decide to intimidate, threaten, and harass Shea after cows from a nearby farm escape and trample her winter garden. Naturally this causes a severe loss of profit that would have helped see her through til spring. At the urging of others Shea files a lawsuit which results in more than just threats.

This was as always enjoyable and entertaining with some edge of your seat drama near the end! I highly recommend this series or any other books written by this very talented author. You won't be disappointed. True cozy mysteries with wonderful characters that seem like old friends. I read this in one sitting and can't wait for more books in this series. I can only imagine what's in store for us as the winter holidays approach. Tons of happy reading I bet!! ❤

Kudos 🎉🎉🌟🌟👏👏📚📚

Home. Mafia. Shotgun. Rabid dog. Litigation. Poo pile. Intimidation. Fire. Adult toddler. Cattle. Friends.
Those are all words to describe the happenings in this book.

Summer Prescott’s books are always good. I should know because I’ve read over 50 of them!

If you like small town cozy mysteries, farm life, best friends and neighbors helping each other out, animals, and people in love or getting there, you’ll like this series. Heck, if you like all of that you’ll like all Prescott’s books!

Next is Book 6, “Baa-Baa Bad Medicine.”

A smelly situation

Shea wakes up to the sounds of mooing. She is a little confused since she doesn't have cows.
After all the cows are removed from her property, Seth takes her to where they came from. A very nasty place.
After Shea realizes her winter crop is destroyed, she sets off unwittingly a new problem for herself.
Samson is a hero and saves her after an intruder is found on her property.
What a whirl wind.

I’m a sucker for any book with an animal in it so a book that has multiple animals is definitely going to speak to me. Who could resist a cranky rooster, some stubborn goats, a sweet dog who just appears at the protagonists farm fully trained, and some stray cows. You get the idea I’m sure. The story was engaging and the characters are my new best friends. Can’t wait for the next one!

Shea has started to get use of farming produce and now added some animals. But one morning she wakes to a dangerous situation with her animals. Things start to get scary as things start to go wrong. Can she figure what is going on and who is tampering with her farm?? It’s one farm cozy you d onot want to miss.

So much drama in this one. Shea has a couple of run ins with some very bad people. Corporate greed is at play. I enjoyed this very much. I especially like how things are developing between Shea and the sheriff. Looking forward to many more adventures.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book provided by the publisher.

All those corporate jerks and their thugs were making me feel angry for Shea, but she didn’t need much help telling anyone off. Pup Samson proved super helpful during the ending showdown. Who’s a good boy Samson? It was awesome how it ended with everyone gathered for food and fellowship. I can’t wait for the next book.

Goodness she doesn't own cows, so where did they come from?

Now that sound of mooing is the one animal sound that shouldn't be heard! The farm is now getting a new problem! But that's not all. So what can be done to protect the farm, our girl and all she cares about? Call in the Sheriff to help.

Awesome series

I hope this series never ends. Ok, I know it has to happen sometime but I will be profoundly sad when it occurs. I love the characters. I have started preparing a spot for my own garden. And I am on the hunt for a local farmers market!!

Those darn city folk are ruining Oklahoma dang it. The author excels at pushing the boundaries of the cozy genre and this is a good example of that. I'm underwhelmed by the unrealistic banter among characters but still love the plotting, the characters, and the series.

Excellent Read

I am really enjoying reading Summer Prescott's farm fresh books. They can be read in a short period of time and each book is a standalone. I also enjoy reading the travel ones, just can't think of the designation right now. Keep up the good work!
