A fresh and inspiring account of history’s most important Church builder – from his perspective.
Far from the untouchable images of heaven-gazing saints, the apostle Paul ruthlessly focused on his earthly duty to build God’s Church. Before his dramatic conversion he had violently tried to stamp out a heretical sect of Jews – the first Christians. But Paul’s encounter with Christ turned his boundless energy to building the young and fragile Church into an established and enduring body.
For many modern Christians, Paul’s eagerness to act for the Lord, willingness to face danger, and seemingly inexhaustible zeal make him the very model of Godly purpose. But Paul was not perfected on the Road to Damascus. He was human, with a life that spanned decades of personal and spiritual development.
Taking the Bible as literal Truth, Paul’s Journal offers readers the opportunity to walk with this pivotal messenger of Christ, from the Acts to the letters and beyond. Presented as a first-hand account, it places Paul’s familiar voice within enriching historical and cultural contexts that will engage and edify any Christian.
Shining a new light on his life from persecutor to martyr, this may be the second-best narrative of Paul ever written.

ARC received in exchange for a fair review. This book is a recounting of the life of Paul written in a casual style of a personal journal kept by Paul. It begins with the stoning of Stephen. The author stayed true to the Bible until the end of Acts where Paul is still in prison. He then wrote what he believes happened afterwards up until Paul was killed by the Romans. I appreciated the historical and biblical accuracy of this book, and the historical context provided at the end.
Paul's Journal by Keith Dixon is a combination of historical facts, Biblical recordings, and some of Paul's letters. The book includes an extensive and informative appendix and cited sources. Dixon's book is an engaging read. I won a copy of the book on Bookreads Giveaways. Dixon's book is easily a 5 star review.
Most of it was good. It is written like Paul was journaling through his travels so it is in chronological order. The last chapter is a bit weaker because it was not segments of the Bible but supposedly taken for other manuscripts that were found in his last days. It is worth the read if you are into it.
This was exceptional writing. What a joy to read and follow Paul's journey. I felt like I was right there in the places that Paul traveled. I enjoyed referencing my Bible and coamparing the stories. Well done!
