Confidence: A Play in One Act
Brent Barlow is about as hopeless as a hopeless romantic can get. For years, he's been pining over the woman of his dreams, dragging his loyal best friend to the mall every day as he tries to gather the courage to walk over and ask her out on a date. He's just never had the confidence to tell her how he feels...until today!
Well, maybe. To tell you the truth, it probably won't happen today, either. Maybe tomorrow, but I wouldn't count on it. I mean, this has been going on for quite a while now. I guess, for some guys (the really shy ones), it's a process. A very, very long process. So, I make no guarantees; you'll just have to read the script and see what happens. I warn you, though, he really is hopeless.
