Callaghan, the son of Morley, rakes open the minds and souls of a panoply of broken people: old Jews, Italian hoods, imperfect priests and shattered Blue Berets. he knows his territory.

These short stories are mostly dark. That in itself is OK, but I'm not sure for what purpose. Most are haunting in their imagery. I'd like to say that they're thought-provoking- I suppose some are- but, haunting imagery aside, I was left not caring about most of the characters.
