I love this story and all the other books in this series. It’s been enjoyable to get to know these amazing guys.
Christy Barritt has written a spellbinding series that will keep you reading until the last book is finished. This isn’t the last book, and now I’m really waiting on pins and needles for the last one to come out! They are so fun to read and try to figure out who the bad guys are. However, true to the author’s fashion, we are taken from one twist to another. We, as readers, don’t know who really has done it until the end. Try as I might, I always shake my head and think, “Why didn’t I guess that?”
Christy Barritt's storytelling prowess is unmatched. Her narratives are a rollercoaster of suspense, with twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very last page. The action is so intense, you'll find yourself suspecting everyone, even those closest to you.
If you love “who-done-it” stories with mystery, suspense, action, a bit of relationship tension, and romance mixed in, you will love this book!

At first, Kai is skeptical of Tori’s wild theories, but the evidence she presents is impossible to ignore. As the two dig deeper, they realize they’re up against powerful forces determined to keep them silent. The stakes rise quickly, and Kai and Tori find themselves running for their lives, unsure of who to trust.

Great story, hard to put down! Page one drops you right into the suspense. And the fast pace of the writing, the burning questions, propel you forward easily.
Kai and Tori are both likable and fairly relatable - characters that are easy to root for. It was refreshing to read a brave heroine with common sense, none of that I-can-take-care-of-myself nonsense that sets her up to need a rescue. I liked it too, that she clung to her faith as she watched her life spinning out of control. I hadn't really expected such a strong faith element.
The romantic tension was handled well, as they both were drawn to each other but resisted the attraction. Their thoughts and feelings were expressed, but not to the point of rehashing the same things over and over. And they were both too practical to ignore the truth of things.
Christy Barritt is one of my go-to authors, I know exactly what to expect from her books, and this one did not disappoint! It actually surpassed my expectations. I would say The Shadow Agency is one of her better series, and Shadow Collateral is a strong installment. That someone . . . turned out to be Tori Bristow . .. . . and Kai Kaleo had just shoved her up against a brick wall demanding to know who she was and why she had been following him. They hardly had time for that conversation before it becomes obvious that one of them is still being followed . . . is it her? . . . . or him? . . .
Tori's explanation for tracking down a perfect stranger sounds so bizarre that it could be true. Did her suspicions about her brother's untimely death mean anything at all, or was Tori just grasping at straws except . . . . why would she have his name and know alot more about his background than any civilian could have ever discovered on their own. As the two cautiously begin to follow leads, the trail just gets more and more bizarre . . . . and much more dangerous.
Tag along with Tori and Kai, as they join other members of Kai's team, while they try to untangle truth from deception without becoming collateral damage.

Shadow Collateral is the fourth book in Christy Barritt’s Shadow Agency series. Though still a clean, Christian Romance/Suspense series, the action and suspense are ramped up in this story. When Tori Bristow’s brother dies under suspicious circumstances, documents and notes he left for her lead Tori to Kai, a member of the Shadow Agency. But she hasn’t come alone. Men have tracked her and seem determined to silence her and anyone else who might reveal their secrets.
Questions about their past—the experiments they were subjected to, the training they underwent—that have hovered around the members of the agency and the suspicious nature of their military service come front and center in this book. Was Tori’s brother like Kai and his teammates? Was his death a truly a result of natural causes or are Kai and his brothers in danger from the same source?
With a few twists and a lot of action, this book is quick read.
If you enjoy suspenseful romance with a bit of conspiracy theory added to the mix, I recommend you check out Shadow Collateral. An entertaining read.

This is a stand alone read but is also a part of the Shadow Agency series. When Tori Bristow looks for answers after her brother's death, it leads her to Kai who has his own questions as well. This story twists and turns so much that the reader will have as many questions as Tori and Kai! When one question is answered, more appear. The path also makes Kai and his fellow Shadow Agency colleagues to wonder who they can trust - even in their own agency!! If you like suspense, action, and trying to figure out what is going to happen next, this book is for you. I received an advance copy from the author but all opinions are my own.

I was happy to get to know Kai through this 4th Shadow Agency novel. When Tori loses her brother, she has difficulty believing that his death was "natural," especially after information from her brother himself leads her to Kai with her suspicions. Kai has difficulty believing some of the things that Tori is telling him, yet he wants to find out the truth also. As they work together to find out what really happened to Nathan, they are putting their lives on the line, as somebody out there doesn't want the truth to come out. This was another excellent, well-written suspense novel and I am looking forward to the next one!

Another Great Suspense Book!
No surprise here! I haven't read any books by Christy Barritt that weren't great! This book is the 4th book in The Shadow Agency series. And... I'm so excited! I found out that there IS a Book 5 coming out on October 29, 2024!!! I preordered mine today on Amazon. When I finished Book 4, I knew there had to be at least one more book in this series! The story is not finished! The suspense is on-going! This whole series is a must-read! It is inspirational suspense at its finest! I'm a fan, Christy!!!

I had an ARC for this book, but this is my voluntary and honest opinion. Nurse Tori Bristow questions her Special Forces brother’s death and goes to Kai Kaleo for assistance in following the clues her brother left. As they search, they continue to run into trouble and have people following them and trying to kill them. As they find discrepancies and things they don’t want to admit, questions continue to mount. This book is filled with intrigue and suspense and will keep you engaged the whole way through. Engaging and a great addition to this series.

Completely enjoyed this novel!
A Christy Barritt original that kept me up at night reading later than I should have again. The heroes/characters in this novel are so real, they could be my best friends. Life is not easy, never is, BUT GOD! Following along each page reminded me that my life is not my own. God loves me and has great plans for me even when the going gets tough. Read and ENJOY !

What an exciting, suspenseful, wild ride. A travel nurse, Tori is suspicious about her special ops brother's death. She tracks down Shadow Agency operative Kai about her brother's death. They find themselves on the run from bad guys as they unravel the truth. Barritt skillfully weaves twists and turns in this story and adds a shocking surprise about Larchmont, Kai's boss. This is a story that will keep you turning the pages quickly.

The Shadow Agency gets more mysterious as Kai agrees to help the woman he first attacked in an alleyway, bel8eving her to be the enemy. However, she is about to set in motion a string of events that are literally heart stopping. I can't wait for the next installment!

Good read
Five star or more writers. Can't go wrong purchasing on of your books Ms. Christy Barrit, I loved reading they early Saturday morning. They are the best movies in books I've ever read. Suspense, light romance, FBI, running for your life. Some where in these stories line there may be some truth in it. Most of all faith and prayers . love it! Waiting for the next book.

Another great story by Christy Barritt. Both part of a series but also able to stand alone, the team who does jobs that no one else wants to do for the safety of the country is at it again, but what is the cost? Maybe even their own lives. Great clean story of budding romance and suspense is there for the reading!

Best one yet! Non-stop action. Ms. Barritt writes with such skill drawing you in from the first page you just can't stop reading. Her characters are so fully fleshed out you fall in love with them In ALL her books and want more of them.

Great, fast paced suspenseful story. The beginning captures the reader’s attention till the very end. I love the touch of romance and the main characters’ personalities. All pf the twists in the story kept me intrigued throughout the book. Exciting read!

I liked the way the clues were revealed one by one. I can usually see what's coming up but this book kept me guessing and surprised.

The love story was flimsy and seemed very forced, the medical scenes were cringy, inaccurate, and unbelievable, basically a cut and paste plot of all the other stories.
