Meet Efram Wixx, a thirty-seven-year-old professional wrestler. He is the oldest of three and took on the responsibility of caring for his younger siblings after the tragic death of his parents. Becoming a professional wrestler wasn't just a choice for Efram; it was a necessity to provide stability for himself and his siblings. Wrestling was his passion and his escape, but now, five years later, he finds himself at the peak of his career, craving a connection with a woman to call his own.
Enters her – the same her who captivated him the day she brought her son to watch his match. Efram is drawn to her in a way he never expected, feeling ready to embark on a new chapter in his life. As he navigates the challenges of his demanding career and the complexities of forming a meaningful relationship, Efram discovers that love and companionship are the missing pieces he has been searching for.
This sport romance was a good one. Adha and Effrim made a great couple from the start. Effrim is Venom the wrestler and fell in love with Adha upon seeing her. I loved the family dynamic of this book on both sides. It brought me joy to read about healthy co-parent relationships and healthy communication amongst adults. I did want to slap Nuri ! It’s always a bird somewhere !
Loved it…loved it and loved it. I am not big on athlete romances but this here was done just right. Efram saw something that he wanted and went after it with the help of his highest fan. I just love this!!
I think this is the first book I read that Queen T wrote and like all the other authors of BLP, she knows how to tell a story!!
Adha and Efram meet at a meet and greet for her son’s birthday, Efram was her son’s favorite wrestler and when Efram shot his shot cause it was love at first sight for him, her son pushed her to go.
This sports romance had the kind of love I hope I find one day, because they both knew that the other was their person at first sight. And they did the work to heal from past trauma and insecurities.
So if you love a good sports romance add this series to your TBR!!
I thoroughly enjoyed the love story between Efram and Adha. I loved how it was her son who brought them together because of his love of wrestling. I was glad that they found each other since they had been hurt by love previously. I couldn't stand Nuri because I knew she was going to be up to no good, and she was. Efram didn't let her play in his face, and I was happy he didn't. This is my first time reading a book by this author, and I wasn't disappointed.
Venom and Adha had me smiling a lot during this book. That Nuri really worked a nerve. I can’t stand girls like that. She knew exactly what she was doing. My favorite quote was, ““Sometimes, we need to extend the courtesy of being kind to others, even if they've hurt us. I've taught my son to always see the good in others.” Beautiful!!
Loved everything about this story was amazing off the chain. I loved 😍 the characters, the love between them. yesss I was so rooting for this couple. I can't wait for the next brother story ❤️ loved it
This was a great read that kept me reading to find out what was going to happen next. The family dynamics were great and even though a lot was predictable it was still a nice family journey.
Great story and storyline! Advance and Efram, I loved them together, Harlow was such a good kid and knew his mama needed someone. They had some bumps, but they made it through. Theepilogue has me wanting to see more of Zuri & Achilles. Then there's Murda,I'm concerned about his well-being.
I loves me a good sports romance. This was a change of pace with wrestling but it didn’t disappoint. This author is new to me and I can’t wait to read the rest of her catalog..
Hmmm 🤔, first time for everything: reading Author Ms. T’s, romance story centered around the sport of professional wrestling & wrestling in general was different. Nevertheless, “Every Pin Fall Counts (Love, Passion & Sports - Book 1) was a mediocre read. I wasn’t impressed with Efram nor was I convinced with the dynamics of Adha & Efram’s rapid romance. Efram’s character was always envious, reckless & impulsive, unless he was performance artist “Venom” of the even. Also, it’s condescending, disrespectful & offensive (to me!, …maybe I’m dating myself?) for a man to call a woman (regardless of their past of present relationship status) a “B-word” EVER‼️Thereafter, Adha pursuing a Doctorate in early childhood development is noble accomplishment. But both a Doctorate & or a PhD in education/early childhood education require between four and six years (p/t) to complete with numerous mitigating factors. However, there was never any indication she was actively attending college and or preparing to defend her dissertation. “My last semester” only a suggest undergraduate degree…even though Adha stated she graduated 🤔🤷🏾♀️‼️Maybe, book 2 will offer more clarity….I was more confused than entertained
