"Oh. One more thing.. Amelia. I, Draco Arconium, Alpha of Draconium Pack.. King of Dragons, reject you, Amelia Griffin-Kane, as my true mate, Luna, and Queen. Accept it!" They all stood there, gaping.. while Caleb sat.. holding his sides, roaring in laughter.. .I roared "Accept it! NOW!" She mumbled I accept and rejected me back. As I was getting in my car, I heard her scream "My true mate is a fucking king!? I hate you all!"
Ugh. Slut shaming? Ew. Just ew. Another mean girl trope, too. The blurb reads like it's one book. It's 2. One is only just over 30% of the pages, and is the blurb. The 2nd is the other 70% and is the oldest child of the couple in the 1st chunk. If you're going to "mean girl" it at least do it productively. Constant slut shaming is not the way to go. Yes the sister was vile, but go after her for mate stealing not calling her a slut. Go after her for stealing pack resources for her own gain, for weakening the bonds of the pack. And her chosen mate? Congratulating him for keeping her as a mate just because she had his kid but keeping a mistress, too? But he doesn't get slut shamed? How is that any different? Double standards are disgusting. Calling people "pu$$ie$", "wusses", and other misogynistic names really drives home that internalized patriarchy. The editing is somehow even worse in this book than the other. I wanted to give the author another chance. I don't like snap judgements unless the content is just so bad it warrants it (i.e. unwarned r*pe content, etc.). But this was basically just another dueling sister story where one was favored and spoiled and the other a drudge until she left and became wondrous and amazing. Same mate stealing story, too. The 2nd part was all about a shifter/human war that the shifters allowed to go to far before finally stopping it in a ridiculous and super easy way. I thought the escaped MFC would be interesting at least but she was either just an unbeatable fighting machine or a goofball popping out kid after kid, no in-between. It just fell flat without any substance to hold it together. Things happened, people came and went, but there was nothing to really hook readers.
3.000000001⭐️ ⬅️ Ratting that should be a 2 but could be 5.
🤯📚 This book had 5.0 ⭐️ potential, but...
I loved the storyline and the characters, and I think the author has a really interesting concept to work with. The potential for this series is huge, and I can see how it could be developed into something amazing. But, unfortunately, the execution fell short. 🤦♀️
There were multiple typos and errors on almost every page, which made it hard to focus on the story. It was distracting and took away from my reading experience. 🤦♀️
I liked seeing characters from the first book show up again. 🙌 But overall, I think the author needs to try harder to develop the story and characters, and to edit their work more carefully.
I'm giving this book 3.0 ⭐️ instead of 2.0 ⭐️ because I think the author has potential. If they fix the errors, develop the characters more, and work on the story some more, this series could easily be a 5.0 ⭐️ favorite. 📚👏
I wasn't going to write a review but I feel it needs to be said. Not only does this book need a few revisions, better world building, details to make the story flow and overall help. It's also two stories in one with no warning. It goes from Draco and Aurora's story to chapter 32 starting their son Evanders story. The idea is there, following the typical rejected mate HEA tropes. But the execution is terrible. I would expect to see this on one of those story apps where you pay by the chapter. Not as a finished story on Amazon Kindle.
What a fun read! I am glad I found it on here and was able to read it on this format.
That being said Fated Mates, strong women who stand up for themselves but still need a strong man (or were wolf/dragon) beside them, to help support and love them are my types of books. This was fast read with non-stop action, comedy and double fist-pump in the air moments!
Found spelling errors but thats okay, it don’t deter my interest in the book! Great job!
I liked the story overall. There were dune lasers that were far too detailed, but that ok. I think that the ending came about too quick given that the build was MASSIVE, yet ending was nothing. It was all wrapped up, but that’s the only thing that lacked details in my opinion. I liked it overall though.
This book is amazing. The story line is awesome and the female characters are bad ass. I would definitely recommend this book if your into the supernatural world. This author will be added to a favorite on my list.
A solid read but it prolongs the build up all the way and then in my opinion was an unsatisfying very short climax in the story. Very mixed emotions with this read I loved it but then was like mehhh toward the end
The story plot is good. But that's about it. There is no depth to the characters, way to many expiration points, it's really hard to keep track of who is where and doing what. And the scenes jump around so much.
I read this book on another site, but it was called the Dragon King. I really wanted a longer story because it ended when Aurora was pregnant with the twins. I am glad I was able to read it here with the added chapters.
It’s rushed. The characters are okay. I do like all 4 Leads but it would have been nice if they had more of a growth phase. Even though it was predictable for the most part. It was an adequate way to pass time.
I liked all the twists and turns. Especially seeing as how the rejected party learned where they messed up. Wasn't over dramatized in the sexual department. Good book.
These 2 parts were extremely good. One transferred into the next very smoothly, I've read other books try this process and I have to say this was the best by far.
One of these book ads from Facebook that suck you in with how the first few chapters are. Wasn’t an awful book, a quick read, but your typical shifter book.
