He was all about entering uninvited.

5 Officer Big Daddy and Pretty Boy stars!
I was thrilled to read a new Bey Deckard book, and the author tags/CWs pretty much cover all the WTFuckery.

You can find it on Smashwords and all of Deckard's other books are 50% off (Knut Bonerman is free) through July!

If you like the cum-dumpster scenes and kinky dirty talk in Uncle Zach, this has some of that. Also, do yourself a favor if you don't already know, look up Tom of Finland's Kake comics/illustrations so you'll have that image in mind later on. The Pleasure Park drawing is great.

I loved this book from start to finish, from the public park fucking interrupted by the cop to the onstage performance to all the Daddying Mitch was doing, despite not wanting to be called Daddy.

Deckard provides a thorough kink and CW list, I'll just add: praise (good boy), carrying, biting, breeding talk, brief cockwarming, hole admiration, cum cleanup duty, unconscious sex, and lots of crying. Oh, and big thick dick/it hurts.
Pet names: sunshine, princess, kid, dipshit.

Fun dirty talk, gruff idiot, why was this book also cute? Who knows.

Favorite moments:

“Well, young man, first you’re going to suck my cock, and then I’m gonna fuck you with it.” Suddenly, I didn’t find him handsome anymore.

I shook my head. I hated it when he made me say things.

“Say it. Say you want me to breed your sloppy hole.” Mitch took my earlobe between his teeth, and I was so scared he’d bite it right off that I whimpered and nodded.

Meanwhile, Pierre and Rob were trying to decide what was the least “gay” way to both put their dicks in me.
Finally, they had me lie on my side between them so they could both put their cocks in me without their balls touching. Or touching much. I felt like pointing out that they were going to literally rub their cocks together inside me, but I kept my mouth shut.

“There’s no one else,” he said gruffly. “It’s just you. Now go the fuck to sleep.”

“You got mine with Swiss cheese and that crunchy, spicy mustard?”
“Well, that’s the way you fucking like it, isn’t it?” Mitch said gruffly as he did a shoulder check, quickly changing lanes.
I beamed. “You remembered.”
“Just eat your fucking sandwich.”

“Do you still want to get fucked by creepy perverts?”
I laughed. “No. I think I’m good being fucked by just one creepy pervert, thank you.”

“Something about seeing your ass swallow my fist whole is just . . . wild, I guess.”

“You did good, kid,” he said, his quiet voice rumbling against my ear. “Really good.”

Loved all of it: the Montreal details, the food, the bits of humor, the stage sex, the ethereal makeup with white bra and underwear, everything! Btw, all of Bey Deckard's books and audiobooks are on Kobo+ (not this book.)

“I’m just getting started, sunshine.”

Adding Deckard's themes and CWs, just in case you missed it:
This story contains: rape, coercion, blackmail, abuse, abuse of power/power imbalance, toxic relationship, resource control (food, money), CNC, dubcon/noncon, humiliation/degradation, public sex, PTSD, anxiety, crying, weight loss due to stress, face slapping, physical violence between MCs, threat and terror, injury, hospitalization, surgery, unsafe sex, fisting/forced fisting & gaping, choking, stalking, voyeurism, mild feminization, lingerie, sadomasochism, DP, gangbang, spanking, references to past child abuse, internalized homophobia/homophobia, and homophobic language.

It's been a while since I read a dark romance that was ACTUALLY a dark romance, and this was what I was looking for. Toxic AF is just that, TOXIC AF, a spiral of madness and so fucking addicted! 🤯

A self-destructive 20 year old people pleaser guy and a violent, heavily traumatized 50 year old cop with internalized homophobia and control issues meet in a park.
It is better to say that the cop rapes the guy after stalking him for some time, obsessing over him maniacally. After the rape, the boy develops Stockholm syndrome and falls in love with said cop. Or more accurately, first he falls in love with his huge cock, and then ends up giving him not only his heart, but half of his liver. Literally. Never mind that he repeatedly raped him for months and months, psychologically abused him, stole his apartment, controlled his job, his money, his food, his sleep--no. None of this matters because the boy was nothing before he met the man and now he is happy and satisfied with his life because he has a purpose: to please him in every way -- this is how he feels important.

None of this involves therapy. There is no real sexual exploration that leads the cop to fully accept his homosexuality and deal with the severe trauma caused by his father's abuse when he was a child. What you can sense from his behavior is that he feels resigned, there is no hope for him to change anymore, he knows he is not a good man, and he accepts the young man for what he represents: an anchor, someone who can keep him grounded, and that is enough.

As the author premised, this is NOT a pretty story. It's a dirty, sick, extremely toxic story in EVERY way. I liked the narration from Patrick's POV, but a bonus scene with Mitch's POV would have been nice, that kept me from giving 5 stars.

If you're looking for a true dark romance that doesn't pretend to be what it isn't, read it! 🔥🔥

❝ Come on, cocksucker, ❞ the cop growled, grabbing the back of my head to mash my face into his dick. ❝ And if I feel teeth, I'm going to break your fucking nose. ❞

Where to even begin? I thought I knew what was I getting with this book but it kept on surprising me. Everything was a whirlwind. I both love and hate it. Mitch is this abusive asshole of a cop to Patrick.... and their interactions were always hot and cold but I couldn't just look away. He put me in a spell. Both me and Patrick are under Mitch's spell. It's giving Stockholm Syndrome realness. This book choked the life out of me. I love it. After reading Uncle Zach from the same author, I wasn't really expecting anything good then this book fucking shocked me. Won't be for everyone!

4.5⭐️ some of the scenes in this book were absolutely insane, but omg it had me in a chokehold. i can’t even count how many times my jaw dropped in disbelief as if the title isn’t literally called toxic af.

also, praying for patrick’s ass frl. not sure how it wasn’t absolutely torn up by the end of the book.

I'm giving it 5 stars because you have to be a magician to write a book like this and convince me to empathise with Mitch and even root for his HEA. I feel like Bey Deckard put a blender into my skull and turned my brain into neuron mush. And then made me like it. The amount of toxicity this two had going on was baffling, but it worked for them, so what can I say? 10 out of 10, would recommend.

This one took me long enough to get though. I think I've read almost every book from this author but never felt like this before. This was a struggle. Don't like either of the MC's to begin with and that feeling unfortunately lasted the whole book. Can't think of anything I liked so sorry, but this one is a 2 star read⭐⭐

A Joyfully Jay review.

4 stars

The title of the book really says it all as the book truly is Toxic AF. This description says it’s a dark book and there are a lot of trigger warnings and it’s all true. The author says “it’s not a pretty story,” and that is also true.

My rating on this book is because it delivers exactly what it states it will. I can’t say that I enjoyed all of it, as maybe I am slightly losing my taste for books as violent as this one. But if you are looking for a book with a new potential trigger on every page, Toxic AF is that book.

After reading the blurb I ran to sign up for the limited ARCs Bey was giving out.

If you thought uncle Zach was dirty and unhinged wait till you read this book. Very Bey and very, of course, toxic.
And I’m not sure if it’s just me but it is kinda written in a way that’s funny too, or humorous I should say.
These two are such an odd couple it just made me giggle a little at their interactions. So intriguingly baffling lol!
Yep this one is just one of those book you don’t know if you actually liked it 🤔 But you finished it with a smile.

Mitch is a cop, and invaded himself in Patrick’s life, the hard hard way! Very hard, constantly hard. Yes, you got it… that hard and in that way!

Prepare yourself for all the tags/tw because they are all there, but… there’s way more to this story ha!

If you are familiar with Bey Deckard’s writing you know what to expect! It was dark, hurtful, and emotional (and spoiler sometimes even sweet)
Read it yourself!
The title couldn’t be better!

This is available through Smashwords and it was Toxic AF just like the title says. At times this was like WTAF but I couldn’t put it down. Highly recommend if you like dark romances with unhinged main characters.

Toxic AF by Bey Deckard

💙 Toxic Relationship
💙 Unhinged MC
💙 Age Gap
💙 Manipulation & Coercion
💙 Non Con & Dub Con

If you're looking for a fluffy swoony romance then you've come to the wrong place 😅 However, if you're looking for Unhinged MCs, forced situations and a toxic AF relationship, well then this is the book for you!

Mitch and Patrick's relationship really is the definition of toxic as fuck. Their story is full of manipulation and coercion and there are no apologies in sight. Though there is a HEA of sorts, Mitch doesn't change the essence of who he is. He's still unhinged, violent, aggressive and depraved and nowhere close to a white knight. This book doesn't ask for the characters redemption, it accepts them in their toxicity as they are.

If you loved Uncle Zach and want more of that vibe mixed with darker themes and a little Stockholm syndrome then you'll love this. 💀

Overall: ⭐⭐⭐.5
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️.5
Humour: 🤭
Intimacy: 🫂🫂
Angst: 🥺🥺🥺

First person single pov 👀

CW (from author): rape, coercion, blackmail, abuse, abuse of power/power imbalance, toxic relationship (yeah, no kidding), resource control (food, money), age gap, CNC, dubcon/noncon, humiliation/degradation, public sex, lingerie, sadomasochism, DP, gangbang, fisting, spanking, references to past child abuse, homophobia and homophobic language.

CW (from me): PTSD, anxiety, weight loss due to stress, face slapping, physical violence between mc's, threat and terror, injury, hospitalisation, surgery, internalised homophobia, unsafe sex, forced fisting & gaping, choking, stalking, voyeurism, mild feminisation.

This book is so good! It’s a bit different from the usual love stories, but it’s so well written that I read it in one sitting! This is definitely not for everyone so read the TW! Exceptional writing and they get their kind of HEA in the end❤️ Loved it!

This book definitely pushed my boundaries. And I have very few of them. The beginning, reading about all of the rapes and violent encounters was hard.

This would have gotten a five star review from me if we'd seen a sincere apology from Mitch, or some genuine character development. Unfortunately, we don't get much aside from an epilogue where it's apparent that Mitch has decided to live out of the closet, at least with his family.

I might be fucked up, but one true apology from his abuser would have turned this around for me. In my mind, Mitch is still very much the villain. I understand why our MC became obsessed with him, but the full love connection is not complete without some attrition.

Oh well, I guess that's what I came here for. More fucked up shit like Max or Better The Devil You Know. I got what I wanted!

This book was something. Stupidly dark in the best way. Mitch is just…fucking awful. Like, not one redeeming quality. I was really mad at Patrick for most of this book for not punching Mitch in the face at least once. This was some real brainwashing/Stockholm syndrome stuff.

The epilogue was out of bounds though. So unbelievable and out of no where that I wish I’d skipped it. No way Mitch is like that, even 15 years later.

well I expected something else from this book.
Mich's personality and character in general was a hell fucking no for me.
he was abusive through and through.
I hated him.
I've seen enough forms of abuse irl around me that I don't want to read them in the books too.
especially that some of his actions were triggering for me. (not the rape part surprisingly, but the controlling behavior)
all in all it was a 2 star read for me but I'll give it 3 cause I liked most of the spicy parts.

The title of the book is fitting AF for this train wreck of a situationship lol.

I think I asked "why? what was the reason?" about 300 times while I was reading it. Mitch is not a likeable character... at all. His hot and cold gave me whiplash. That man is friggin coo coo ca choo.

"He was an emotionally constipated asshole... but he was my emotionally constipated asshole."

Patrick... I have no words. You could do better. That is all.

Honestly... I just finished this last night and my thoughts are still rattling around. If you can't tell lol. I will def spruce up this review later.

it is what it says it is….. Toxic

I hated Mitch from beginning to end. And I started to hate Patrick for putting up with him. I was shaking my head the entire time. There was nothing endearing about their relationship. Super toxic.

WELPP i’m conflicted af, like did i enjoy it? kinda. Did i also hate it? ya. Idk what this was supposed to be but i def did not ship the main couple....like?? everything was just weirdly off and the dude had zero remorse for anything he did. ZERO. And listen, i’m not new to toxic/dark romance or whatever ....i can handle messy characters but this was not it. this wasn’t even morally grey, it was just straight up dumb 💀

ARC

I am always blown away by Bey’s writing.
This is some twisted s*it and I could not be more here for it.
I always go through three stages in my reads from Bey:
1. The “what the f*ck am I reading?” phase… which is me going in blind cause I like to be surprised
2. The “what the actual f*ck am I reading?” phase which is me reading the most depraved and unhinged things that Bey writes and absolutely enjoying every minute of it
3. The “what the f*ck am I reading” phase, that is when things start changing in the story and you get the most weird change of pace and surprises 🤷🏼‍♀️

So basically this book is weird, twisted, definitely dark and unhinged and this relationship between them is dark, unhealthy and absolutely toxic, but also so sweet and fluffy… which should not be possible and it does leave you a bit confused about what you’ve been reading (as seen from my three phases😂) but I would read and read and reread this a thousand times and never tire of it🤤

Do I want more? Yes.
Do I live for the whatthefuckness that happens? Yes I do😂

Toxic AF: this title is perfect, because it is. It starts brutal, Mitch takes away Patrick’s consent and choice. He just takes what he wants, with no regard for what’s right. You feel Patrick’s desperation to get away from this brute, his rapist. As the assault progresses over time, Patrick’s view shifts with it. When Mitch finally leaves him be, Patrick can’t help but reach out and pull him back in. They might be toxic but it kind of works for them.

A very disturbing start, but reading you find the little shifts between them, that don’t seem as bad anymore. In a way a great example of Stockholm syndrome, without the hostage situation. Even though it was disturbing at parts, there were also tender moments. Mitch became a much more complicated character than he seemed to be at the start.

To read the epilogue and the note the story ends on is kind of sweet, the entire balance has shifted from beginning to end.

My second Bey Deckard book, and definitely not my last, his approach and taboo stories are great reads!

I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
